  1. With new incarnation of RHW, is it possible to build 3-level stack interchanges without using tunnels or are the tunnels still a necessary component?

    1. Haljackey

      Haljackey

You mean a 4 level stack? It is now possible without, but will take a lot of space.

  2. Show us Your Interchanges!

So we can run multilevel interchanges now can't we? I'm talking it's possible to run a stack interchange with l0, l1, and l2 levels isn't it?
  3. Spacey, but I have to agree with the last fellow; it's pleasing to look at it. Anyway, I have another issue with the RHW tonight. I can't seem to get the fractional RHW-4 straight piece to link up with the fractional RHW-6 Ramp C variant. Anytime I move either piece to place, the piece I am attempting to place just changes the direction it's facing in e.g. it starts pointing in another direction. This happens whether I place the ramp first or the straight piece first. Was hoping to hear why I'm having trouble with this while I can see a tutorial for a fractional Y-interchange that does this exact method. Also, when you guys are updating your highways, how do you decide to where to start running new highway thorugh former development? I mean, have you ever found that the only solution to a really nasty traffic problem was to just run an elevated highway right though downtown?
  4. Well damn. I'm guessing it would take more than a tiny patch on top of NAM 33? Either way, I'll just bump the height of the overpasses up. That shouldn't cause the game to freak out will it? EDIT: Only one piece now glitches out. Intersection along the "lower" (geographically speaking) entrance ramp. EDIT EDIT: Got that working, but found I couldn't get the spui entrances working properly. They keep glitching up and just turning into RHW-4 and having the ramps to the intersection itself disappear. EDIT EDIT EDIT: Fixed the latter problem, but now the first problem is back; the single piece changes into regular avenue, but the other three remain as the SPUI. Please note this problem goes away if the RHW over it isnt completely over the entire SPUI and connected to the other side. https://imgur.com/L6dWjew
  5. Folks, I'm having trouble creating a ground-level SPUI. Everything goes great until I drag the elevated road over the interchange, and then everything goes all to Hel- I mean, the interchange glitches out into avenue pieces with crosswalks and the inner ramps(?) end and don't go anywhere. Any advice for the uncultured like me?
  6. The Stack Interchange

As the title indicates, I am attempting to construct a stack interchange on the outskirts of my city. However, the two tutorials that I have found for it are from 2012 and presumably a previous version of the NAM. While that in and of itself isn't a problem, I do think that an update might be necessary. The most problematic thing for me is that I am not sure how I can construct the EMIS that go over the main thoroughfare. I'll try tinkering around for the time being, but my lack of imagination is a hinderance to building. EDIT: I believe that I have created one after tinkering around, but I'm not sure if I have done everything correctly and I don't know how to take screenshots - actually I'm not sure where they go.
  7. Project Symphony - Development

I believe that I should do that.
  8. Project Symphony - Development

I've come across a problem with the ramps from an L2. I can't create an entrance on one side. I can create an exit for the opposing lane, along with an entrance as well as an exit, but $%&^! me if I want to create an entrance lane. For instance, on the right hand side on a northbound road, I can create an exit and an entrance lane on the northbound side, but on the southbound lane, I can only create an exit, as the game will not allow me to place an entrance as well for any traffic that would like to merge onto the southbound lane. However, I can do such with an L0, which is quite queer.
  9. Terrain and Snow

I've decided to change the terrain texture for my game, but there are quite simply too many choices for me to know which one to pick, so I've decided to ask all of guys who have modded the game. If possible, I'd also like to cap my mountains off with snow, just for the nice little touch. With your recommendations, please furnish pictures as well if possible. Thank you everybody.
  10. BSC Essentials

I can't get the BSC Essentials from the Lex, so I have to ask if there is any other place to get the textures. Believe me, I have tried to register with a new account, tried logging in with my old account, changing the password to my old account so I can log on, but not one thing works. NOT.ONE.THING. Anyone know where else I can get the file in question?
  11. FLUP Underpasses

I'm glad I haven't done it yet. I'll try out the tunnel version first. If that doesn't work fore me, well, I'll just zone some more. I'm doing an avenue that passes through major districts and generally loops around the city. At the moment it's like a figure eight. What do you suggest is a good general layout for roads, highways etc?
  12. FLUP Underpasses

Ah. Guess I'll have to dezone a little then.
  13. FLUP Underpasses

I'm trying to build a FLUP, and I've placed the tunnel piece entrances, but I'm not sure exactly how to proceed from there. I've checked the NAM manuals - along with everything else- but I'm finding nothing to show what step is next. I mean, is there another puzzle piece I put down? Or is it simpler than that? This is my first time really starting to have fun with the RHW and the new road and traffic options, so everything is very, very new to me.
  14. Getting the MIS to go through an avenue.

So I assume I can't just drag it through an on-slope piece?
  15. NAM General Support

I did not know that. That explains it after I bulldozed it and drug it back out.
