  1. Besides it makes it more real. The traffic it generates (which is a lot obviously) does not result in more customers if I make a store next to it (which is logical). Trains take less space and dont produce any pollution so it makes them a better option. Or avenues so you can get lots of customers for commercial businesses.
  2. When I look what traffic is coming from my industry part it only shows like 2 cars and 100 trucks. They do not need workers or what? No subway/train is going there so they can only go by car but apparently they refuse or something? It also shows that 170/175 is working there etc. Is it a bug?
  3. No traffic from industry?

There are more people walking around. Thought it would make it more realistic but since I installed it lots of cars crash for some reason. And its annoying to see.
  4. No traffic from industry?

I am an ass, funding was not high enough. But my last question still stands, anyone knows that plugin im talking about?
  5. No traffic from industry?

So the first 10 years or something they only traveled by car and by foot, then for 1 year it suddenly worked and they took the train, bus and subway as well and now they once again only go by car and foot..... And another question (man I keep asking), I installed a plugin for pedestrians on the avenue or something like that but I want to remove it. I cant find it, anyone knows the name?
  6. No traffic from industry?

The game has a hidden rule that all jobs must be reachable by car in order for Sims to work at them, even if they don't take cars to get there. But once you made your bridge, Sims should be able to take the train as well. The only thing I can think of here is the location of your train stations. You should have enough of them, and they should specifically be in places that are convenient for the Sims. Otherwise, the Sims may find it faster just to drive directly to their jobs, even though the train is much faster than driving. If this doesn't solve your problem, try posting a picture of the area. All of a sudden it worked (I changed nothing) for like 2 years. And as fast as it went it also disappeared, only cars now again... Not even busses. Must be some kind of plugin problem I guess?
  7. No traffic from industry?

No, there is no bug involved, and traffic certainly isn't random. I have explained it many times, and I will explain it again: When you query an industrial building and it says "170/75 jobs", this does NOT! - I repeat - NOT! mean that 170 out of a possible 175 Sims are working there. What it means is that given the current local desirability level, this facility offers 170 out of a possible 175 jobs to be filled by workers. It does not show how many people are working there. If you want to see how many people are actually working there, you can use the route query tool on the industrial facility. It takes a while for the simulator to adapt to any new industrial (and commercial) building, so commuters may start to arrive there a few weeks after the building grew, and both commuter numbers and commute paths may change quite a bit over the first few months before they settle and stabilise. If the number you see in the route query is considerably lower than the number of jobs offered by the facility, it means that your traffic system is inadequate or that your commuters find jobs that are easier to reach. Buildings with a low rate of job positions that are actually filled will decrease demand, but they don't employ many Sims. This makes it clear. But while I am busy with asking, I think I have a bug or problem with my traffic. My subway and trainsystem is pretty big and on all the good spots. But............ My sims only travel by car!?!? Why I opened this topic is because I had an industrial part at the other side of the river and you could only get there by train or by subway, no traffic was seen there besides trucks. As I got tired of it I made a bridge for cars, and suddenly there are huge amounts of cars going there. Why is it that they dont take the train? I have NAM installed with default settings. I noticed the same with my industry, but the commute time was short so it didn't bother me that much. Maybe it has something to do with the maximum jobs provided by factories. In my cities the mass transit functions the way it should in commercial and residential zones. Industrial zones could provide less jobs than commercial zones, this might lead to a bigger influence if the desirability is low. I'm not sure if that is indeed the case though, so maybe you could check that. It is not that. They travel 0 by subway and 0 by train. It really makes no sense at all, they only go by car or foot.

  9. Can't find it?... Ask here!

You're thinking of this I think - I remember it as something smiliar but a lot easier.
  10. Can't find it?... Ask here!

I recall there was a program which checks if you have all the STEX etc files which you need for the bat's and lot's. Anyone knows what I mean?
