  1. Learning the Ropes: Centre Part 1

Just a small update for today! http://youtu.be/s59ibN0AF3A Welcome to Centre! As you can see though many high reaching skyscrapers have finally reached the ceiling of the city; however the city is still partially incomplete. Many of the structures have been implemented into the city ,but many areas remain uninhabited. The regional highway system allows many commerce from the surrounding suburbs to reach into Centre and take part in its massive shopping infrastructure. This is the current state of the region. Though many people have been moving in from the surrounding region, much of the land remains empty. To the south of Centre There is another business district growing to accommodate for much of the retail in the region. Much of the construction in the region is grid-like than anything else. There is a regional railway network along with a regional highway network to accommodate for much of the heavy traffic that comes on to our smaller lane highways. Much more to come so stay tuned!
  2. Prologue: What I have so far (Centre/Center)

Why thank you! :) I was going for sort of a tight knit city with utopian ideals.

  5. Welcome to the heart of the region.... Centre. Its vast buildings and arrays of streets and subways allow the people in this region a chance of new hope and prosperity. Just thought I would add a small update . Finals week is coming up so it will be hard to update during the week but rest assured, more is on the way

  11. Welcome to a new look on CJ's!

Welcome to the my current region, Sanctuary!!! Throughout Simtropolis's vast array of amazing City Journals, I have decided to make one of my own; however I like to take a new spin at things. On my old account I attempted to involve story, drama and fiction as elements in my City Journal, but for some reason I was never content with them. Scouring through many of the City Journals on this amazing website there's one thing I truly loved; which are pictures of the amazing creations people have created. They were just awe-inspiring and sometimes I even used them to gain inspiration to many of my region construction projects. In this City Journal, though the element of fiction and story is quite appealing, I want to show some of the amazing creations I have made. I want to show you, the people of Simtropolis, my take on things, my own personal anecdote of how I create. Sanctuary remains an incomplete region and I seriously seek to finish it and show you the progress that is being made so far. Before big projects and undertakings in my cities, I will always ask you, my audience, on what you think I should do to create original, awe inspiring designs. So sit back, relax... and enjoy of what's to come Here is a little teaser
  12. Hi everyone! So over the summer I bought a fast gaming computer and decided to play Simcity 4 on it. It works perfectly but only on software mode. When on hardware mode, the region map and in game map is stuttering and shaking. Playing on software mode for a while wasn't too much of a big deal (you had the occasional crashes but that's ok) however recent terrain mods (LK Appalachia Mod) do not work on software mode. This dilemma has been quite irritating as I've been trying everything to make it work. I want to use hardware mode. I've been following this guy to try and make it work: http://attendthis.net/cba/tutorials/article/4-simcity-4-getting-the-best-performance-and-eliminating-ctds/ This is my target: "C:\Program Files\Maxis\SimCity 4 Deluxe\Apps\SimCity 4.exe" \ -CustomResolution:enabled -r1920x1080x32 -CPUCount:1 -EH:off -intro:off Notes: On software mode the buses appear in RGB boxes. Weird bug I just noticed playing the game. I've uninstalled and reinstalled my Simcity 4 into my Program Files rather than Program Files(x86) as I saw a forum that it eliminates many bugs on Windows 7 by doing that. Specs: AMD Eight FX-8350 4.0ghz 16 gb DDR3 RAM Sapphire Radeon 7850 2gb GDDR5 Thanks!
  13. The Sky Line

This is just eye candy and I'm definitely getting a rush! Can't wait to see more!
  14. I usually first try to obtain some inspiration or something I want to do that is in my imagination; Only thing I have to do is put it to Simcity. Once I found my inspiration, I usually look for mods, bats, lots etc. that can help me put my idea to work. Once that is done I usually try to imagine a transportation network. I lay down a highway system first and then find an area where all those highways meet and call that the "Downtown". Avenues then sprout from the highways to a more local network. From there it just gets smaller and smaller. Once that's done I fill it up with zones... beautify it and fill in any missing spots.
  15. Year Three

    Looks so realistic nice job!
