AHH home sweet home, I'll have to keep an eye on this one since I was born there in St.Francis Hospital, lived on Johnston Ave right off Greenwood (rt 33). Man makes me miss the NE, but Florida is warmer year round. GQ

MPM releasing those would be cool no matter how you did it. As for I live reader I don't even have it installed anymore, could never figure it out. Not real good with most of this stuff, I use the LE to make a few lots or fix other peoples lots to suit my cities, beyond that I am lost. Great City and great work GQ

very nice update. Would you consider sharing those redesigned Buddybud highway walls? GQ

Does anyone's computer actually run SC4 well?
DJGspinNhitz replied to zzsim's topic in SC4 Bugs & Technical Issues
I have a Dell that is 6 years old. 2.6 Intel, 728RAM, 380 Gig HD, Nvidea 64mb Gforce. I have 3.5gigs of plug ins (more if I load everything I have downloaded), it takes 15 minutes to load using the SUM. I can only build while paused or it goes so slow it will drive me nuts. Takes about 2 minute to open menu items. Cities run find up to around 200,000 then really choppy. You Drive It is out of the question locks up everytime. Over all the play isn't bad but I am going to buy a new computer soon and it has to have at least 2 gig RAM or more and a 256 graphics card. The Nvidea cards seem to handle SC4 better, my laptop had a ATI and it was way slower with more RAM and similar everything else. Going to try out the dat packer thing this coming week to see if it speeds things up. BTW I play large regions too which doesn't help. I know if I want to play SC4 the way I want to I need to be patient. GQ -
If SC4 was so complete why is it so buggy and needs so much adding on by others? If it is done then release the game codes and let the world have thier way with it. I think EA is out to make a little extra $$$ and maybe sell a few more SC4 game to boot. SC4 Deluxe is down to around $10-15 now and SC3000 is $5-10 now if you look around. SCS is a quick buck that will be bought by SC and SIM fans plus a few new people to hook them on the SIM/SIMCITY game concept and then add new SIMs and SimCity games with add-on pack to rack up $$$$$$$$$$. Reality is that SC isn't alone anymore either Citylife is out there and eventully someone will make a new hit City Simuation game with all the bells and whistle and make a killing, it might even be EA.

If you read more than the release notes on SCS, video gaming is set to past the music industry in sales this year and grow at a rate of more than 6% through 2010. EA is thinking $$$ combine elements of SIMs and Simcity and hope to rake in some $$$, who knows maybe release SC5 and people who love SC buy both at $60 a pop that $120 per person x # of people = $$$$$$$$. It may also be a stop gap measure till they can get to SC5. I am not impressed with anything I've seen so far and unless I see something major change compared to what has been released I'm saving my $60 for something else, maybe citylife 2. I DO think stating our unhappiness is important if we want games we will enjoy reguardless of who makes it. GQ

Simtropolis Roadgeek Union--Requests
DJGspinNhitz replied to pilotdaryl's topic in SC4 BAT & Lot Workshop
Your sign pack is really nice, I have one request though can they be made TE so I don't have to have funny grass spaces along my roads and highways? Great Work and Thanks GQ -
Bobbo your amazing with your work and detail. I solved the problem (sort of) by putting a ZZZ in front of the overlay texture you were using. This is at least a temp fix for people till it all get straightened out. Question the WAWA will the LE allow me to angle it ( the building) for a corner lot or does it have to be BATed that way? GQ

simply amazing!

Gothia Cityscape Radio Broadcast Tower by SAC
DJGspinNhitz commented on DJGspinNhitz's file in Civic & Non-RCI
I don't know what happen over there I assume SAC left for other things. Unfortunately this is the only download I have from the site that I was able to salvage from my crashed laptops HD. I think I had 1 BAT from there. NOTE: I believe the Temple of Grutz is a dependency for this lot. I am still trying to reach SAC to make sure this is ok, just in case. -
Version 1.0

This is the radio broadcast tower that was available from Gothia before the site went down. I believe it was made by SAC. I have emailed SAC and not recieved any reply. I also PM Dirk and also got no reply. So I am uploading it and if SAC or anyone feels it should be removed please do so. I want to make clear I had nothing to do with making this and I felt that it was best if it didn't fall away into the internet twilight zone to be lost forever. GQ -
