Foundation is a new medieval city builder that has just achieved full funding over at Kickstarter.
  2. Medieval Mayor

Tilted Mill announce a new city builder called Medieval Mayor for release next year & it does have a sandbox mode according to their official facebook http://tiltedmill.com/medieval-mayor/
  3. Well the game looks great & the music is gorgeous, exactly the type of game I love, but it appears to be a steam game which I dislike immensely, please tell me there will be other options?
  4. Banished

They were thinking profit & quick turn over, whereas Shining Rock were looking to offer quality & originality.

I purchased it to support the creator, unfortunately my ancient laptop is struggling with it. I have no sound & it's very jerky, looks like a new puter is on the cards finally!

I'm sure this discussion will pick up once the buzz catches on, I've been watching the "Lets Play" vids on You tube in anticipation of tomorrows release. It sure looks good & the maps are huge!
  8. CiM 2 released

I don't care whether you understand my reasons, do you not get the fact I do not like Steam & refuse to use it & nothing you say or do will change this, now just get back to worshipping your shrine of the steam gods.
  9. CiM 2 released

A terrible excuse to boycott games. Steam isn't about making games work, so it's a non-sequitur. Sorry, do I need your approval to dislike steam or something? Should I submit an application form somewhere to the almighty Motina to dislike steam? If you wish your purchases/rentals to be controlled by a middleman, go right ahead. By the way, I know it isn't about making games work, point is, it has absolutely no purpose to exist other than to control gamers.
  10. CiM 2 released

Seriously? Absolutely, games worked perfectly fine without Steam, don like it, won't use it, thats my choice
  11. CiM 2 released

Was just about to buy this only to find it is Steam only, no sale!
  12. Discussion about City Tile Size

LOL thanks so much for that, thats brilliant, I needed a good laugh
  13. That's exactly how I feel about SimCity 2013 (Toytown Edition) You would have to be batshit crazy to give them any money for a game you can't even save on your own machine & not allowed to play it where & when you want!
  14. The OP doesn't come across as a satisfied customer to me, his exaggerated excitement comes across like a sales rep desperate to make a sale or perhaps he works for The EA Department Of Damage & Limitations?
  15. This says it all really http://www.jonathancresswell.co.uk/2013/03/review-simcity/
  16. I have no intention of paying all that money to rent Simcity Toytown & to also have that spyware known as Origin installed onto my computer.
  17. Will you buy Simcity 2013?

I might consider buying this new Simcity at gog.com (Good Old Games) in around 2025 for $5.99 once all the online nonsense has been patched out
  18. Medieval Mayor

Looks like they have read your mind, I'm looking forward to this one
  19. SimCity Will Be On Steam...

I doesn't matter to me if it does use steam, I still won't buy it. To do so would be accepting this new gaming standard where I have to always depend on some middle man allowing me to play something I've purchased. I'll stick with all the older games that I can play anywhere, any time
  20. I'll explain why in my circumstances, I spend a lot of time at my mothers because she is disabled, So i look after her most days. But it involves a lot of sitting around so I have a computer there & like to play games, i can't afford a second internet connection & she has no need for one. So games that insist upon Steam or Origin etc are about as useful as a chocolate kettle for me. Sorry for deviating from the thread discussion, but I'm fed up of reading why being online to play a single player game isn't a problem., it's a huge problem for me & a lack of a sale for the new Sim city
  21. Regarding the Sim Peg Agricultural Mod, I have downloaded it & believe I have it in the correct folder but I'm not actually sure how it works. With the Nam for example, it actually adds menus within the game so it's plainly visible but I'm not seeing any menu's with this farm plugin. Do I just create agricultural areas & let the farms build themselves?
  22. Thanks for the warm welcome, I've actually not even installed it yet, i'm in the process of building a new system in the next couple of weeks. But I have been researching this forum for a few months in preparation (Edit) Well, I just decided to try to install it to check it all only to find out it won't accept the serial number I have to contact supplier now Welcome aboard. Slow and steady wins this race. Take your time, and run in a lower gear until you get the hang of it. Cheetah mode is really for quick results with specific short-term goals. Don't be in a rush to get somewhere, neither the fan sites nor the game is going anywhere soon. If your game has a version number different from 1,1,640 or 1,1,641 you are missing some bug fixes and need to patch it. Open a new topic to discuss this, or look around. It has been thrashed out many, many times. To find your version number locate the file SimCity 4.exe using windows explorer in your Program Files suite, and hover your mouse over it. W7 will tell you the version. Take a look at the pinned threads in this list and you'll find out a lot of stuff. This game is addictive. If you are like me you'll be playing it when you are old and gray.
  23. I purchased a retail copy of it here just last week... http://www.gamestation.co.uk/gs/sim-city-4-deluxe-edition-13701 never played it before, so I have a huge learning curve ahead of me
