  1. I'll kick in one for this thread. Kensingway Naval Base
  2. Grand Hyatt, Melbourne, Australia

So, um, my jaw... It's on the floor... I am speechless...   This is sincerely in a class of its own
  3. Grand Canyon

Welcome back! And with a fantastic map as well
  4. The Pactagon (NAM Infrastructure Solutions)

MandelSoft!! This is a fantastic addition, and I love the Friendship is Magic reference
  5. ZH Rosewood Cluster

The scaling is somewhat off, as can be seen when compared to the Maxis homes on the right-hand side of the second image. That having been said, this is a fairly good approximation of some local neighborhoods. I lived in Jakarta for a year, and my house there looked very similar to those two models. So well done there!
  6. Beating a Dead Horse

While I agree we should avoid becoming a Broken Base, this feels somewhat like a strawman argument to me. Just because things have been said before does not mean people should stop expressing their feelings toward the game. And I have seen as much namecalling from supporters of the new Simcity as from its detractors. Would everyone benefit from taking a step back and not being quite so passionate about their positions? Yes. But there are plenty of legitimate grounds for complaints, and I do not thing asking for people to silent their own unhappiness with a product that doesn't work as advertised is the way to go. Absolutely, let's be polite, productive, and friendly. But let's also disagree, level our honest opinions, and be civil in the process.
  7. Give Them A Break

People have legitimate complaints here, which EA has tacitly acknowledged across the board. They are allowed to express their opinions, as are you. What people should not be doing is denigrating the people who disagree with them. We can have different ideas on the state of this game without getting into petty namecalling.
  8. Ditched the game

    Not sure if serious...
  9. I think Jonathan Cresswell has the most spot-on review thus far: http://www.jonathancresswell.co.uk/2013/03/review-simcity/
  10. A lot of reviews also are not factored in. IGN, for example, has a review in progress but has not released their final verdict. Ditto for a couple other sites. And the reviews in progress have turned sharply negative as the online issues have mounted, so I expect SImcity's metacritic score to fall further. I need to add I take little joy in this. While I smelled a disaster coming months ago, and personally despise DRM, I really did want Simcity to succeed. I love this franchise. It's one of my mainstays and has been since I was a child. Now the first simcity in 10 years is turning into a very public debacle, and I take no joy in the prospect that we might not ever see a Simcity 6 if this continues the way it's going.
  11. This is clearly satire (the last line is a giveaway), but so close to being believable it's disturbing
  12. They aren't the only ones. The IGN review in progress is heading rapidly more downhill- the reviewer was prepared to give a glowing endorsement at first, but now has been delayed enough due to the server issues that he's finally catching on that the game's region play is seriously buggy. You know, something all reviewers should be noticing. And Tom Chick put up a post basically saying that he won't release his review for a week or two in order to let EA/Maxis sort out their servers, but if he did right now it would be a one-star review.
  13. This is utter heartbreaking.

There were bugs in SC4, terrible bugs, but the game was more than playable on release. The same cannot be said here. As for your second point, I try and be polite on here, but that's a hard argument for me to take seriously. We don't owe the developers anything. We are paying for this game. It's their job to make something that is both functional and fun. They have put years into the game, the least they can do is release it in a playable state. People have every right to pass judgement if they don't.
  14. Just for you I post this famous gif about IGN Also Gamespot and Gametrailers have been outed for being paid off this gen. maybe should wait for CNN and USAToday? Wait for the Tom Chick review, as he's usually on the mark with how he scores a game and isn't afraid to hand out low scores if they deserve them. Okey, lets not start a fire. IGN, gamespot and gametrailers hasn't given wrong impressions or over-rated scores, if you think so otherwise then flinging a stupid gif-pic in your comment, let me hear it. Also, I found your remarks sorta distasteful , How was my remark distasteful? Also, the gif was from another poster I was quoting, and you might note I actually removed it as I hate gifs in general.
