then I suggest you take a look at the history of the Catholic Church. The 30-Year war, fought between Protestants and Catholics could give both thos monsters a run for thier money. Religious fervour always killed - in he name of God - and still does.quote> No one would ever deny the acts of the inquisition or the crusades, but the overall essence of the crusades were to keep back Muslim invaders, especially the Moors, from entering Europe. Perhaps it was the best for western society in this regard but certainly Catholicism is not without its dreadful past of murder. In any case, while the crusades or inquisition were done "in the name of God," it is not compatible with the religious scripture, notably from Jesus, who taught peace and humility with enemies. Ergo, one must deduce the hijacking of teachings for ulterior agendas. As for the Lowell quote: it appears the man has not travelled very far. In modern days such a place does not exist, regardless of which religion has gone before.quote> Faith allows us to think outside the box beyond the limitations of our senses - to use reason and logic to determine the validity of things outside our physical constraints that require certainty. Some atheists vehemently deny this essence while contradicting the inner human propensity to seek knowledge and truth beyond perception. Faith involves a degree of absolute certainty that goes beyond what can be rationally justified under science limited under mundane senses. Creationism, undeniably an American invention, seeks to undermine the future by keeping people ignorant - it was thus always the way of the churches. It is nothing but a means to return church denominations back towards the kind of control they had in medivial times.quote> First, you must be careful with the subset of creationism. Theistic evolutionism and old earth creationism are compatible with science all while being under the creationist labeling. Secondly, church attendence is indeed increasing but many defectors remain theists with a personal belief in God. And that said, many theists become closer to God than ever before because the church has skewed the wondrous elements of the Bible and Jesus' teaching with an emphasis on Jesus' death/resurrection instead.

The biggest blunders of the atheistic mindset is assuming Creation =/= Evolution. While this isn't true for young earth Creationism, progressive Creationism, Theistic Evolution, Old Earth Creationism, Panentheism, and modern Catholicism all embrace evolution as God's way of ensuring his creation can react to environmental changes - punctuated equilibrium. Given this, the only difference between theism and atheism is that theists believe an immaterial and eternal sentient energy source created the Heavens, while atheism believes an eternal energy source created the Heavens accidentally. It's not hard to deduce which one is a little more rational given our orderly and complex laws of the universe.

Wow, that's got to be the largest seaport in Sim world.
-
Awesome. I can't wait until this little city becomes the total size of the small country.
-
Great update. Looking good.
-
I love the new airport. It is perfect and realistic for your small-sized city.
-
Great CJ so far. It really puts the urban sprawl of LA in perspective. Also, you should add the Aon Centre into downtown. Downtown wouldn't be complete without it: Download Here
-
Amazing. Your attention to detail and realism will undoubtedly make your Sim city the most realistic intepretation on this site.
-
I can't wait for game screens.

Awesome CJ Teeparex. I like how you don't over-use custom content. Too much custom content makes your city look like everyone elses. Building with emphasis on Maxis buildings adds originality. I especially love your use of centralized parks within subdivisions.

This is why we will never know the answer: Mark 4:10-12: Jesus: "The secret of the kingdom of God has been given to you. But to those on the outside everything is said in "parables" so that, they may be ever seeing but never perceiving (hence never will see Heaven from Earth), and ever hearing but never understanding (hence, never understand our existence); otherwise they might turn and be forgiven. The atheist dillemma always asserts that if God started everything, then who created God. This is a fallacy because it assumes for A = B, C = A. However, how can God be created? He wouldn't be God then. God always existed, he wouldn't come from anywhere. We are the product of the Big Bang - existing in space, time, and eternal energy. Since we know the universe is finite, then something had to create the Big Bang, and you have two choices: God or Naturalism. Nothing more, nothing less, no either/or fallacy. If God is eternal and omnipresent, he is not bound by spacial restrictions which envelop our existence (time, energy, and space). That is, he is immaterial, and cannot be perceived, touched, and felt. If you existed without space/time, you'd be omnipresent, existing everywhere, and unseen. Hence, the reasoning for lack of "physical evidence" that atheists use to support their non-belief - they don't understand the concept of a God. The Big Bang proves something existed without matter, and if time did exist before the Big Bang (eternity), we wouldn't have been created because an infinite amount of time before the Big Bang would never yield change.

I always wanted a Sim game where you can view your city skylines from the ground level.

Great CJ JasonB52. I just love the transition from supertall skyscrapers downtown to quaint towns in the rural area.

Without a doubt, the best and most accurate Hong Kong depiction.

The last picture is from Microsoft Virtual Earth, which is a direct competitor of Google Earth. The program has a bird's eye view perspective of satellite imagery (a la Sim City point of view), as well as 3d imagery such as the photo's above. Th problem with the program, although it is much better than Google Earth, is that it does not have widespread satellite imagery like Google Earth. Therefore, only a handful of pictures are in 3D, like the Miami picture above. The link: http://www.microsoft.com/virtualearth/default.mspx

The downtown and beachfront has become the actual tourist attraction for many sims due to its beauty and grandeur :
