Today, I worked on giving a boost to a city I have built a few years ago... by implementing a tram ! The line is a modest infrastructure, around 1.5km long, with seven stops, but it provides a useful connection for the inhabitants between the harbour and the train station and through the center. Here's the city before the construction : Now that the tram has been built a few transformations are needed : And the operation is successful, around 5.000 more inhabitants have moved in since the transformation of the city centre !

Hey guys, I had a bit of fun trying my slope skills for this new road. It should lead to the development of a small housing and farming community on the plateau at 500m high.

Hi ! Some overviews of my new town in Cybeles (Maxisland). Demeterville is a 19.500 inhabitants thriving town inside a prosperous agricultural plain. The small village has grown thanks to the construction of the railway, connecting the city with the rest of the region, and attracting some successful companies on the nearby boulevards. The town council has elected a terrain on its northwest boundaries to install a small industrial area : Now the town council is considering an extension on the northern side of the expressway, although the local ecologists defend the Artemis Wood and farmers wish to put forward the value of good land by extending their fields. After a few weeks of struggle with a suitable planning for all parties, the land has been fairly divided in order to extend the industrial area on a smaller portion, letting the farmers to enclose new fields. The wood has been sanctuarized, let alone a small housing estate for a dozen of houses : And here is the neighbourhood fully developed :- 499 Replies

Hey guys ! Here's an update on my Cybeles (Maxisland) region : things have moved a bit on the western side since August 2024 : A series of new towns and one city of 25.000 inhabitants have grown on the western side of the Cybeles River, plus a small regional airport in the plains : Hope you'll enjoy this update

Hey guys ! I have not been much on SC4 these last weeks but this morning I started the game and I played on a city I have started 13 years ago, to do a bit of renovation on an ugly neighbourhood with bumpy roads and awkward crossings. Duroy is my largest city so far with 569.000 inhabitants and the neighbourhood of La Madeleine is a bit of an upper-class district in the middle of the downtown buildings : Before... And now : Hope you'll like it more now :-)

Thank you so much ! It is way more beautiful with this mod ! Edit : damn my clumsiness, I had downloaded the water mod a few years ago and I couldn't remember which one it was. There was a bit of fumbling around before finding the right one :-D But here it is on a tile I had not work on for a couple of months. My goal was to transform the small and wild Salamine island into an island town : Here's an overview of the empty island (and it is the first with Cori's side water mod :-) ) And here's the island now, filled with a nice little ferry area, a village of around 2.200 inhabitants and a market gardening zone on the eastern side : And once a few details had been modified and the growing had stopped :

I would be the most grateful for any good piece of advice ! I actually have downloaded a lot of ploppable and growable and a few heavier mods but I have always felt a bit overwhelmed by the amount of them since I started to look at them quite late in my game experience :-)

Hey guys, here are just a few shots of my region of Cybeles (sweet old Maxisland) filling up : Here in September 2023 : In June 2024 : And as of today :

So many amazing ideas on this thread, thank you so much guys ! Haven't played a lot on SC4 these last few weeks but I have focused my efforts on my RHW-mod region (which I'm very poor at ^^ ) and here's Sparte-Plaine, a new town I'm working on, currently around 4.200 inhabitants :

Hey guys, I'm back on my Maxisland region (renamed Cybeles), with a new city in progress, Argos. I am struggling a lot with the RHW, and I think I'm not enjoying this mod as much as the rest of the NAM, but anyway I keep on filling the region slowly. Here's the region, reaching 70.000 inhabitants. Argos is located on the most southern point of the already urbanized area (in the central peninsula of the map).

Hey guys ! Not a lot has been going on in my Gold-Coast-Fairview region. Here is a small before-after update, between April 2023 (3.7 millions of Sims) and February 2024 (4.1 millions). Before : And after : I plan on playing again more regularly and give the region the fill in it deserves ;-)

Hi everyone ! To give a shot at a first RHW mod region I went back at Maxisland and decided to start a rural / middle-sized-towns region which I called Cybeles. Here it is for now, with 62.000 inhabitants : All started on the small Egine Island, a little bit shy of 2.000 people. The main city is Le Pirée, with 27.000 inhabitants. No highway crosses the city itself, since the motorway passes through the plains between Le Pirée and L'Acropole on a south/north axis. An expressway connects both of them. L'Acropole is a smaller town of 9.400 inhabitants, mostly famous for its temple ruins. Here is my first attempt at a RHW exit. It was a bit tricky since a railroad passes runs near the motorway and I was not familiar with the tools yet. While building Mégare, I was feeling a bit more confident. I particularly love the southern part of the town, with the harbour, the motorway exit and the expressway going west to the future town of Antirion. Let me know what you think !

Hi there ! This week I launched the complete reconstruction of Port-Guillaume, started in 2011, with its 93.000 inhabitants. Everything has been started over from scratch : Let's start with the neighbourhood of Normandy before : And after : The bumpy (and ugly) district of Falaise has quite changed : Before : And after : The city center, also called the district of Hastings and Angleterre, is now hosting a vast pedestrian area and an underground metro line : Before : After : One of the specificities of Port-Guillaume was the former citadel in the district of Saint-Etienne, surrounded by water canals. It now hosts the university : Before : After : Finally, an overview of the city before : And now, with 107.141 inhabitants : Hope you'll enjoy !

Hi everybody ! Here's my current project : Port-Guillaume is a city I built in 2012. In a pre-NAM era :-D So today, I took a deep breath and I decided to erase it completely and start it from scratch. As you can see, it is quite bumpy, there are Maxis trees everywhere, mixed with pines that don't match and several areas are over complicated with intricate roads... I was quite proud of that area however... And now, let's start again, with a nice lifting for the terrain : And the main road and railway layout is done ! Now the goal is to reach again the 90.000 inhabitants!

I just love your cities they are exactly what I wish I could do ! Hey guys ! Here's my presentation : Guilfaillant is a city of 129.000 inhabitants, located on a hill above a large agricultural plain. The top of the hill is characterised by the presence of a spring forming a stream crossing the town and overflowing in two basins on each side of the city. You will also notice a long plaza above the Guilfaillant Castle, a major monument as a remembrance of the flamboyant past of the city as a fortress protecting the Gold-Coast Estuary region. The plain around the city hosts several villages, a major highway and a smaller expressway connecting the city to the capital, Duroy, the city of Wuthering on the northern side, and Trezene, on the seacoast.- 499 Replies

Hi guys ! Here's the first time I post one of my cities on the forum, so I care a lot for your pieces of advice ! A few weeks ago I have decided to redevelop completely one of my oldest cities : Guilfaillant, which I started in 2011. The city is located here : It is located on the edges of the major city, it hosts 65.000 inhabitants, and it is composed of a city center located on a hill, surounded with boulevards, a suburb-like neighbourhood and a large agricultural plain. One of the most original features of the city is a canalised stream located on the very top of the hill and crossing the center. The city looked pretty bad in my opinion, because I didn't master well enough the NAM, the roads are wriggling wierdly, some intersections are... well... murderously wrong. So I have decided to start it from scratch, but I wanted to keep the general structure of the city : the center upon the hill, the stream on top of it, the suburb, the large plain with a few villages, the Maxis highways and the forest nearby. Now the city hosts 129.000 inhabitants and I am quite proud of it !

Hey guys! My first post there, though having been a member on Simtropolis for more than a decade... Anyway, I'm quite slow at creating a region, but here's my mother of pearls, Gold Coast-Fairview, on which I am playing since 2011. Currently at 3.755.000 inhabitants, it's the largest I've ever managed.
