  1. Bus traffic between cities

Eclipse: have you tried the Bus Blocker? You would have to make your highway on-ramps with a bit of lead-in, to allow for putting the blocker on a one-way road (that will extend into the on-ramp). There's no highway bus blocker. And I'm not sure if the Sims would then stay on the bus forever or...? Let us know if you try it!
  2. Ending a freeway?

A variation on A Nonny Moose's answer: drag ground highway into the elevated highway, and then connect one-way streets to the ground highway's lanes. You can get interesting results with the one-ways going in different directions.
  3. Can't find it?... Ask here!

If this is the wrong forum, please move to mod requests forum (?). I'm looking for something / anything (BAT, lot, mod) that informs me when a building has become abandoned. Playing a game without help of anti-abandonment mods, I find myself scouring the map frequently, looking for those bloody eyesores. It'd be handy to be informed about the abandoment. Maybe something in the UDI mission icon style that can take you to such building so you can bulldoze it immediately... Thanks!
  4. Seperate Rush Hour

I got the Sim City Box at a local Target on clearance for $4.99 a while ago (they were remodelling). I can see it on their website for $19.99 though... http://www.target.com/p/The-SimCity-Box-PC-Games/-/A-10831815
  5. The United Cities*4th Birthday and Retirement!*

Nathan: regarding your map from August 13th, did you put Shaw in the south end of the map because "no one goes south of Shaw for anything" in Fresno? LOL. Fresno here, too. Cheers!
  6. Has no one yet mentioned the Orange Crush (Orange County, California)? From Wiki: "The 2002 edition of the Guinness World Records book cites this as the most complex road interchange in the world, stating that it is an intersection of 34 different routes, when taking into account collector/distributor roads, surrounding on- and off-ramps (such as Bristol Street/La Veta Avenue, Broadway/Main Street), and direct carpool-to-carpool flyovers. Adding to the complexity is that of the five possible directions to enter the interchange, entering eastbound on SR-22 is the only approach that allows motorists to exit the interchange in all possible directions of travel. This is a result of the acute intersecting angles of SR-57 and I-5, as well as the fact that the interchange is approximately 3 miles (4.8 km) from SR-22's eastern terminus at SR-55, which also intersects I-5 several miles south of the Orange Crush." 7. Tram-in-road to subway?

    Fantastic, thank you very much!!
  8. Tram-in-road to subway?

A new player here. I've a few related questions (after browsing the forums for hours and reading up A LOT!): 1) When I build tram-in-avenue-to-subway on both sides of a highway purely to get underneath said highway and then get back above ground, do I have to link the "hidden" transfer points by subway? See attached screenshots... 2) Are they considered the same "line" (and the same "physical" - or virtual - train) or does it even matter? The reason I'm asking is I have a couple of highways with that avenue going under them, and I wonder if the Sims ever "tire" of going "take the tram - transfer to subway - transfer to tram - transfer to subway" etc. and won't use the line... 3) Is there another way to get underneath the highway that has onramps / offramps with a GLR in avenue? Regular GLR in avenue tiles destroy the highway ramps. Thanks very much!
