Hi, I just downloaded the mega pack that's in the first page in the popular section, whatever it was. I installed it into my plugins folder and tested SimCity 4 for any changes in buildings and stuff, but I didn't find any. Am I missing something?

Alright, with that I found the graphics card but nothing else. It's called NVIDIA GeForce 8600 GT. EDIT: SC4 crashed 5 minutes into my second play in years while I was zoning an agricultural zone. This time I had all the NAM packs installed plus a non-working BSC, but in turn I also followed part II of the following link, since part I didn't apply/didn't work: https://www.simtropolis.com/omnibus/index.cfm/Main.SimCity_4.VistaDualCoreSimcity4 I don't think it had anything to do with the extra content since my first play worked fine and I could plop them down nicely. EDIT2: I was using 1.31 GB of memory at the time since Opera and IE use quite a bit of it, but I'm pretty sure I was using nowhere near that last year I played it. If I turn UAC off the system just completely bugs me with its prompts and stuff. I'd rather not do that just for one game. Also I think I have an Nvidia...I'm not entirely sure, do you know where to find the video and graphics card information? I can't.

Ah...my earliest memory...SimCity 2000. I remember hijacking my older brother's wonderful map and just planting some random volcano downtown and watching the carnage unfold. Thankfully I didn't save it.

Wow...I haven't touched this game in years and all of a sudden I really wanna try it again. Before I do, I'm really interested in these mods in Simtropolis...wow they look good. I'm a bit wary to download it since every single download to SC4 crashed the game...but that was in a glitchy version of SC4, I bought a new one now =D Anyways, onto the actual subject. I'm quite nervous to play this game because of two things. Firstly, I can recall many times where I was working on a city with freshly acquired tens of thousands of dollars, and then Simcity 4 crashes to desktop. When I start up SC4 again there is a much higher chance that it will crash again in 5 minutes and then I would have to hibernate my computer overnight to eradicate this issue. It is completely random, there is no warning, there is no error message in the aftermath and apparantly Vista doesn't notice the something has gone horribly horribly wrong. Unfortunately I can't tell you guys what I did since it was just that long ago. Secondly, I loved the U-drive it missions in Rush Hour because it's so fun, but I think it could be much better if there wasn't so much LAG. Come to think of it, there was also quite some lag when I scroll around the town itself...hmm. My computer should be able to handle it nicely with it's...pretty good specs, but it continues to lag. I want to try this thing again but I just can't with all these few, but important issues. A few more things: I run: SimCity 4 Deluxe Windows Vista Home Premium Service Pack 2 2 GB RAM 2 GB CPU w/ Intel Core 2 CPU 250 GB Hard Drive, with 70GB free ...I don't know what else because Vista doesn't want to show me them, or I just can't find them. Also, I have NO MODS. NO LOTS. NOTHING foreign was downloaded onto SC4...except for a region found on sc4ever.com but it never caused a problem ingame. In fact, everything was there. There was a box somewhere but I don't know what it was - maybe an item provided ingame, maybe downloaded off the net, not sure. That's all...I think. EDIT: There is now a third problem that has arised. Except for mods, no custom content is working. I believe it may have something to do with the SC4Update4BAT patch, but when I ran it, it said that it could not locate an old file, yet it did find a new file with the same name. It then simply stopped running. I'm starting to think that this isn't anything to do with my hardware at all; instead, all the SC4 games I have ever bought (yes, I bought another SC4 deluxe, which held even more problems) are corrupted. About the box I was talking about in the above paragraph, I have found what it is and it is actually an object that came with the game. I have no intention to buy another copy of SC4 Deluxe, nor can I return the old, faulty copies, so now...unless someone can suggest me an alternative, I'm pretty much at a dead end here.
