  1. Corrupt a Wish Game (v4)

We tried to grant your wish but it was rejected since no-one knows what it is. Instead, we granted you a bagel. I wish I had a new printer.
  2. The Status Above Me

Hm,... I might have to drop on by some time later... 7/10 I like the future, but I also like space exploration.
  3. Simcity_1.dat?

I've done my own analysis of DAT-1 from time to time and can give a more elaborate description of its contents. It's the file that contains all the S3Ds, path files, exemplar files, UI files, default RULs, sound files, cursor files, icon files, hotkey files, and other things needed for the game's functionality of its features; S3Ds for the models, paths for the transit networks, exemplars for props and such, UI for the interfaces, RULs for how the networks work, and so on. Every other DAT (2 to 5) has all the FSHs (textures, for example) for everything needed for the game's models, lots, and networks. Ever wanted to find the exemplars for a specific lot? It's in there.

  5. Transparant streets

Looks like you have a texture pack installed. It had the name "tarsealed" in the name, and it re-textures all the Street textures. You'll have to find it and remove it. https://www.simtropolis.com/forum/files/file/25404-urban-tarsealed-street-modd/ It's probably this one.

Since that modified transport view mod comes with the RHW itself, uninstalling the RHW will remove it. Alternatively, you could simply remove that individual DAT (filename is RealHighwayMod_Regional_Transport_Map.dat) from the RHW folder (and preferably put a copy of it somewhere else) on the off-chance you still want to toy with the RHW. (The RHW just won't show up on your regional transport map anymore.) Also, it doesn't matter which dataview you open prior to saving using the modified transport view; So long as it's open and it's one of the dataviews.

I think 15m is too high, too. Well, one of the eventual goals is to add half-height content (7.5 meter high networks for networks such as Road and RHW). 7.5 meter high networks would be designated as level 1 networks (in contrast, ground-level networks would be level 0, or L0), and the existing 15m networks would be kept as level 2 (or L2).
  11. NAM General Support

That has to do with making the RHW show up on the regional transport map, and these are known (and fixable) issues stated in the RHW Readme. @CaptCity: I got the full details on the second part: @FireSka: Always be sure to read the readme. Otherwise, you'll make it sad.

  14. Let's see your Ctrl+V

As far as I can tell, there were only eight passengers on that train, so assuming all the other cars were empty, were all the extra cars necessary? :boggle: Then again, a probable reason why there were ponies pulling a 300000-pound train (or however much a train weighs) might've been a case of "Get down and push". Ever had a car stall on you and you had to get down and push it? Imagine the same thing with a fully-loaded school bus. Why have an engine when there's apparently enough horsepower to pull the rest of the train? Train whistle. ----- No, really. I had a fear of ST freezing up, so I ctrl-C'd the whole thing. Ever typed a really long comment you wanted to submit, only to lose connection to the server?

I usually define the term "meme" as "Internet phenomenon", hence all that random stuff people will blurt out. (I accidentally the game, divide by zero, Chuck Norris, Chuck Testa, inception, X Y is X, and the like). Knowyourmeme is a well-known repository of meme-related information. @MamaLuigi945: Yeah,... I think you derped with the coding... I un-derped it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XTYaM3_wJpg

Dashie, you're so silly... LOLOL On a more on-topic note,... Ponies aren't just bounded to the limits of one single website; It's everywhere. deviantART, Minecraft forums, Youtube, YoutubePoop,... I could go on, but I never explored that much of the Internet... It's a meme, I tell ya. And I'm clearly affected by it.
  18. NAM: Requests - 2nd Edition

Short answer: Not likely. (And we don't even know what's going into each successive version until we start throwing it together.) Long answer: The one problem with these kinds of pieces, other than its potentially limited usage, is the directionality of the two decks: The reason the DDRHW works is because the two levels are going in different directions. If the two decks were in the same direction, you would have cars jumping between the two decks. The game can only read paths two-dimensionally (and that's the best analogy I can come up with), and the end result would be no different than a single-deck highway with two paths.

  20. Show us Your Interchanges!

I usually avoid making setups that allow for weaving; Oftentimes, making a collector-distributor setup is the best way for mitigating that effect. Another way is making a Basketweave, but those can get pretty large. Aside from that,... Who else enjoys timelapse videos?

  22. Show us Your Interchanges!

Glad to hear the RHW is to your liking, but,... Strictly speaking, what you have is NOT a partial cloverleaf; It's a modified T-Interchange, reminiscent to a Trumpet Interchange. THIS is a parclo: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Partial_cloverleaf_interchange Your interchange is a good example of what could be described as an "Incomplete Cloverleaf", not a "Partial Cloverleaf". Your picture implies that there's room for expansion and you might end up making what's known as a Cloverstack. ----- I can tell you're both first-time users, but I'll give you a few pointers: - Unless you're in a rural area and can afford the space or if you intend on making them compact enough, avoid using cloverleaf-style loops. In a really dense area, cloverloops eat up immense amounts of space. - Flyovers are more superior in urban environments on the simple fact that they take up less space. Plus, in real-life interchanges, cloverloops could have a low speed if the loop itself isn't big enough. - Try looking at other interchange designs for other ideas. You can start here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Interchange_(road)
  23. Show us Your Interchanges!

Your T's look quite impressive, so is your DDRHW Diamond. I can deduce the following from your pictures: - An RHW-4 L2 D1 Ramp is needed; If that were made, it could spare yourself having to go down and up with part of your T. - Coincidentally, you managed to photograph a vehicular collision. I know the exact heights and widths for all the RHW networks: For the DDRHW, its lower deck is 15 meters tall, and it upper deck is 22.5 meters tall. For all the other ERHWs, they have the same height: 15 meters. Each lane is about 4.375 meters wide. The RHW also came with a set of sample textures; You can also get width-related measurements of of those. Hope it helps with your signage.
  24. Post Modding Requests Here

This is more of a transit modding request, and therefore should be under the category of the NAM. I can tell you one thing, though: Tram-in-Road is already draggable, but not from a starter piece. Try clicking on a stretch of Road using Elevated Rail. (Nothing's enabled for Street or AVE.)
