I looked in this thread and kept getting a database error so I apologize if it's been asked/discussed before. I was wondering if there is a mod that adds/changes textures so they look better at the closest zoom. At the time the game came out it looked really pretty, but today it kind of looks blah compared to newer games. I really hope that Maxis makes a true Simcity 5 one day.

JIM546 ->Thank you very much!!!!! I also had an issue with it not wanting to load right after my PC had been running for awhile and this seems to have fixed that as well; I can actually enjoy the game again.

I have a slight question reguarding this. I have a dual process processor which was causing SMC4 to min. to the desktop after 30-60 mins of play and I could maximize it, I had to end process, lof off just to restart the game. I did some searching and found that I had to put this in the target C:\Windows\System32\cmd.exe /C START "SimCity 4" /high /affinity 1 "C:\Program Files (x86)\Maxis\SimCity 4 Deluxe\Apps\SimCity 4.exe and change the affinity to only one processor, Now can I also add the -w or am I stuck with only one adjustment per shortcut?

I hope that this is the right forum. I was just wondering what mods you al think are must haves. I have the NAM.

Okay I have Primas SimCity 4 Deluxe Edition guide and I've looked onlince as well. I've downloaded the Autumn Valley map, I really liked how it looked. I created a new region pressed ctrl+shift+alt+R and brought up the menu foun the greyscale map loaded it, then nothing. I tryied this several differant time to the same effect. Eventually I gave up and went to bed. Today I thought that maybe it was just that map so I tried the Ukiah map and it worked!!! Now while the map is nice, I wanted something a bit differant so I tried another one (sorry, I cannot remeber which it was) and this time it didn't wor. I have absoultly no idea what I'm soing wrong. The only differance between the two maps that didn't work and the one that did was the one that worked was a zipped file and the other two, I clicked on the link to download and a window oped with the greyscale image. I right clicked on that and selected same image, and I saved it to my desktop. Any advice, hints ect. would be greatly helpful. So thanks in advance and sorry for such a *****ish question! -Jay

I was just reading up on the DVD thing and it sounds really sweet and I only wish I had the money right now to buy it and it kind of got me wondering; how the sales are for the DVD. There are a lot of tutorials on the forums and if you all sell a lot of the DVD, why not make a compaltion of the tutorials in a book. You could do the donation/selling for the book too. It would make it easier to find the info. Fel free to slap me stupid if I've poked my nose where it ought not to be. It has been so long since I really sat down and played this game. I used to download custom regions and I sure as crap cannot remeber how to install them and stuff, need to re-read up on it. Anyway, it's just my two cents and I know it wasn't asked for. I would also lke to say again that this place is great. Out of all the Simcity 4 fan sites out there and the few that I've visited in the last three days, I have to say that it is well miantained and thank you for conintuing to host a site for an old, but great game and I promise to buy that DVD when our funds aren't so tight!!!! -Jay

Hello everyone! Just recently upgraded my PC after buring out my vid card and desided to get back into the game. Haven't had a city not in the red since Simcity 2000. I do have a quick question. Is there a place to upload/download cities? Um, community looks great and sorry for the dumb question.
