Its best not to get DEVELOPMENT CAPS and DESIRABILITY mixed up. Development caps are the limit of the development, regardless of the demand (i.e you may have demand for 10000 Industrial Jobs but the cap is set at 8000. The only way you would get those extra 2000 jobs is by raising the cap) Desirability is how LIKELY the certain zone/wealth will grow. There is two sayings NIMBY (Not in my back yard) and YIMBY (yes in my back yard). You wouldn't want to live right next to a Coal fire power station. But you would like to live next to a nice park :-) Hope this cleared things up :-D

Although in reality, for transport networks, cities will tend to put them over roads or under ground.

The trailer (you can see from the links on the simtropolis homepage) doesn't really tell you too much yet though. Although it does give the impression that it is more about the management side of things

You can use them with growable lots too!!. However you cannot use it with residential otherwise there will be a no car zot above.

Woops, been here for so long yet still seem to be getting the threads mixed up :-P 1. No, it seems to be working fine. 2. No, the CD was scratched so i could not install the Sound.dat file. To solve the problem i created a file with the same name ( I thought that that was pretty clever to be honest) but that means that the patch won't... patch because the files are not inside. NAM seemed to be working fine before despite me not having that patch... EDIT: There was something i forgot to mention, on the tab it says "** Intersection Placement String Missing **"

Yes if maintainence isnt properly funded there will be burst mains. If they are run under buildings i think that they can destroy them too.

Thats new! I have never seen anything from SC4 in 3D before! Its a shame i don't have any glasses! I only have the "Real 3D" ones :-( Nice castle though!

It all depends on weather you want to keep the monorails. HSR is puzzle piece based while BTM replaces monorail. And of course with a patch you can use both

In my opinion the only real way RHW can work is if it is planned from the start. Not necicerrily placed but spaces left for it; and it must be region wide. Once you farmillirise yourself with the pieces and how it works it can be quite effective. Just look at some of Hiyjarky's (something like that) cities! Sadly i cannot try the new NAM as i am suffering from severe computer issues at the moment (motherboard went POP!) and the company that i baught it from just a month before seems to think that there is nothing wrong with it. Being 15 there really isnt much i can do other than keep asking for a new one or a repair. Sorry for the rant, normal service will resume.... NOW!!
