Have you tried going into the programs folder and running it from there?

Little help: How would you finish a riverside avenue?
IAMSHOO replied to cromabianca's topic in SimCity 4 General Discussion
Move the avenue back and make the riverside look natural. If its too high for the seawalls or you dont like the look of them, then the only other option is to make it look natural. -

I think you answered your own question. You say that you demolished some I-D to build some avenues; have you tried zoning some more I-D? It seems to me that you do have sims coming and going because they can't find the jobs they want.

I routinely have commuters travel very far for jobs. I doubt its your network that is causing the issue, especially with that low of a population. Its most likely the types of jobs that are available that are the issue. Can you provide a better breakdown of the demand in your city(s)?

Yes, you can have multiple deals to multiple cities. You can even cascade the deals, meaning City A can export to City B which in turn exports to City C...and so on.

I've never posted on this site, but your question, and many others like it, have me wanting to post my opinion. I have had the pleasure of being a member of this site and sc4devotion for several years. The biggest leason learned: GO SLOW! Play the game and figure out what you would like to see. If you want a more diversity in your buildings, then start with that. If you want better landscapes, then start there. DO NOT start adding multiple mods at one time. You will screw up eventually and if you added too many at once you will not know where you screwed up. Go slow and enjoy. I have been playing this game since it was released and my experience now is better than ever because I take caution on what plugins I install. Note: organize your plugin folder. Create folders for things like residential, commercial, industrial, civics, textures, transportation, etc. It will make it easier for you in the long run and your plugin folder won't be so confusing. Also, some mods should be loaded last, refer to the readme files and figure out if it should be in your "z" folder...or even your "zzz" folder.
