Hollywood is a city in Broward County, Florida, United States. As of July 1, 2008, the population estimated by the U.S. Census Bureau is 141,740. Founded in 1925, the city grew rapidly in the 1950s and 1960s, and is now the twelfth largest city in Florida. Hollywood is a Principal City of the South Florida metropolitan area, which is home to 5,413,212 people. The USA Network television series Burn Notice is filmed in this city. Hollywood is the furthest suburb to the north. It serves as a retail city, and a lush suburb for those rich sims. The city first saw development in the early 1970's when Wal-Mart built on the corner of Hollywood Blvd. and Coral Blvd. The city has plans to build a studio, and a few new recording studios. A city shot of Hollywood. West end of Hollywood Blvd. Intersection of Coral Blvd. and Hollywood Blvd. Middle of Hollywood Blvd. Many retail stores have been built here over the years. East end of hollywood Blvd. Intersection of Hollywood Blvd. and Miami Blvd. Future project: making I-95 into a sunken highway at Hollywood Blvd. Hollywood Hills Subdivision. First homes built in the city. Many more to come. Hollywood Blvd. =D First blvd. in the city to have all retail shopping. Also the first street to be fully developed. I love that Simtropolis has this forum! I'd just like to add this inspirational message hoping whoever reads it, it rings comfort to them. 5 1/2 years ago my parents found out about my gay lifestyle. They were extremely confused becasue I had been raised in a christian home and attended chuch my entire life and even attended a private school my entire life. They didnt quite know how to handle it, lots of crying and feelings of failing as parents. I saw a counselor briefly and have fought with them time and time again. These past 5 years have been some of the hardest with family to some of the best due to the people I have met. I'm proud to be a christian and attend church almost every weekend. Our denomination does not hate the gay lifestyle which so many people assume christians due. I just want people to know that no matter what happens in your life, whether your parents kick you out or never speak to you again or you lose someone in your life, itll get better. Life is a crazy thing and the choices and things that we do dont finalize anything. Stay strong. Know people out there love you & there is people out there who care! Never stop pursuing your dreams! Follow your heart! All i wanted to say

Ran a 5K for The Color Run. Best 3 miles ever!!! Amazing weekend.

well each mile marker they blasted everyone with a different color. Mile 1 was pink. Mile 2 orange. Mile 3 was yellow and right before the finish was blue! It was awesome! They also handed out packets of all different colors from orange to turqoise to green to purple! and had music playing and at the count of 3 they would have large groups of people throw color up in the air or have every just start a color war! It was awesome! didnt even feel like i went 3 miles! ther...

Yet another awesome update!! Cant wait to get to the center city! I think one of my fav. parts about big cities is driving through its suburbs! To see all the different road names and interchanges and when the highway crosses over the streets to look down for that brief second and see all the cars driving, its just amazing how big cities are. :) -
