When I played a few years ago on the same computer and the same settings, I didn't get this problem. Could it be some other kind of issue we're talking about?

I've recently optimized my computer for premium media usage. I have not used this computer for several months and I have deleted everything in my SimCity 4 plugins folder. But when I play the game, I keep getting random lines that cut through my landscape and water. Can anyone help me get rid of these? also, when a ferry or other boat passes, I see them temporarily disappear accordingly to the lines. I'm running on Windows XP and I have SimCity 4 and Rush Hour. I'll give you the spec. later. Many thanks to anyone who has helped me.

SimCity 4 isn't really complete without Rush Hour. so I strongly recommend you get it... To install almost anything...just move the contents (everything exept for the readme or pictures) to My Documents/SimCity 4/ Plugins. and if your file contains an .exe type file, just run it and it will install automatically..
