You, sir, win all the things. Please put that on steam so that the whole world can benefit from your genius. FYI, as for the lack of traffic lights, I'm sure one of the various traffic mods would allow you to toggle them on at those intersections. Plus, traffic mods could also take care of removing the cars' ability to turn left at the crossovers, for proper functionality. Thank you for the kind words I uploaded it, rako's DCD Interchange. I've been using it downtown with no problems so far, despite not using Traffic++. But it must be uninteresting for people to U-turn at the crossovers, or it might become a mess. Not my favorite either, but I think it's an elegant way to deal with the ramps.

Starting experiments with this one. Yep, a double crossover diamond interchange! A fundamental limitation is the lack of traffic lights at the crossovers (due to one-way street intersections not creating one), but I think it might end up working okay.

Laguna - a body of water cut off from a larger body by a reef of sand or coral. Synonym with lagoon. Well, this definition is certainly not the case here. We're in the alps. Etymology of the city name remains unclear, though some suspect the former owner of these lands, born in the Mediterranean a couple of centuries ago, simply felt homesick. But that's not to say the alps aren't charming. And to understand why that is, we must know it all really started with a small settlement of industry workers, relocated decades ago to what seemed like the middle of nowhere - courtesy of a well maintained railroad passing through the region. And proof of Laguna's charm is... those workers were here to stay. Today, this alpine city is focused on providing superior education and expanding as a commercial and financial center, using all the space the larger neighboring cities don't have. Overview Laguna was still considerably unnoticed until it decided - alongside federal government - it could invest in a large airport, much needed in the region. That quickly brought us to 40 thousand inhabitants, and earned the city a well deserved place in Google Maps, high definition satellite imagery and all. Mountainous neighborhoods of Alpine Park and Star Hill Aerial image overlooking the city from the north Commerce As we see a growing regional financial hub, travelers arriving can easily recognize the Kirchgarten Gate, as viewed from Gateway Avenue, which in constant expansion. The arrival of an efficient subway system continuously stimulates growth. Tourism Kirchgarten has the largest metro station, connecting the main circular line to the airport line. That means we'll be seeing many tourists and businessmen here. What are the tourists attracted to, by the way? Besides shopping, there's plenty to see regarding culture and nature, as we are about to see. Most bus lines have quick access to the main highways Alpine Park Planetarium - centuries old The Alpine Park is a must-see for hikers and nature admirers Transportation City planners predict a broader use of the rail system in the future, even though the current three train stations are already somewhat used. Most citizens rely on bus terminals throughout the city - the larger ones connected to railway, subway and highways. That said, citizens of Laguna are strangers to traffic, and expect to always be on time. The International Airport demonstrates good capacity. While its terminals are rather simple, it counts with a dedicated metro line and easy access. @michae95l; Ultimate727: Thank you! I had huge plans for this city, especially since this map has quickly become my favorite (Innsbruck). A video was supposed to be on this update, but I've been a bit short on time. @Carnivorus; 89James89: Thanks! My cities aren't mine if they don't have many mountainous neighborhoods with spaced roads in there! Update It had been planned since the beginning, but now the Innsbruck Park, in collaboration with the department of Arts & Culture, finally became a reality. Terrain value here is currently on the rise. The neighborhood counts with the new Line 2 of the subway system, connecting the western areas to the circular Line 1 and leading straight to the business district. View from the Continental Avenue reveals taller buildings appearing throughout the city Meanwhile, Anfield, a neighboring district to the south, expands further towards Laguna. Occupation there started with a growing forestry industry. Road to Anfield, with the Anfield University and its chapel up there Anfield High School A view from the mountains

Very nice and, as said already, looking quite realistic! About saving, I use the autosave mod, it works great.

That third image looks pretty cool! Love the two interchanges - Sonnborner? Though one of the accesses in the first image has a very sharp curve! Realistically, trucks wouldn't be able to turn there and it'd be very uncomfortable for cars. Some trucks can have a minimum turning radius of more than 20 meters. But hey, if it works...!

Ok, things got a little out of hand here. Eventually going to change it to make it less unrealistic, but should work for now!

This looks great, Jutlander. I had to do some research on the Øresund bridge once. Too bad we can't build tunnels yet!

That bridge in São Paulo is definitely a cable-stayed bridge, not a suspension bridge. -
Can my pc run simcity on high?
dhphx replied to henriquesimcity4's topic in SimCity (2013) General Discussion
I don't think anyone here would be able to tell for sure. The beta is not even out yet. But from the looks of your VGA and amount of RAM, I'd guess the processor is a good one. You haven't specified the model though. A little, little bit of research, and you can find this on Youtube: He ran all those games with the same graphics card. You should absolutely run SimCity. -
Great thread. It was really nice to see some varied pictures from some cities. Constanta has a great feeling to it, those are really good pics urbanconstanta. First, sorry for not resizing them. And I'm not much of a photographer, but here you go: (my hometown. Can anyone guess which one it is? It has appeared on this thread already)

What's the furthest away you've ever seen a city skyline?
dhphx replied to Ol' Michiganian's topic in Architecture & Urban Planning
Not necessarily the skyline, but I've seen Christ the Redeemer from some 25 kilometers (16 miles, roughly) of distance. Maybe more? Pretty neat.
