I'm excited about the use of districts! -
resident average income collapse
champloo08 replied to danathomas's topic in SimCity 4 General Discussion
It happens to me in my larger cites and suburbs. I always thought it had something to do with the population age. Assuming the "older" population carries a lot of wealth, when they die it declines, but normally goes back up for me after a couple of years. Also all demands stay the same and are pretty high.- 17 Replies

I would like to see the changes you've made from a sprawled suburb to the new urbanism concept. Show changes from a typically American styled sprawl suburb into transition of urbanism. Basically a reveloped area of a sprawled subrub to a mini city with mixed use developement, walkability, and public transit oriented.

Discussion about City Tile Size
champloo08 replied to alex macnamara's topic in SimCity (2013) General Discussion
Yes and absolutely not. Cities don't just have a density inside a little box. Now how unrealistic is it to come across a city that has huge skyscrapers but has a imaginary border? Its like filling up a toy box. Now the game should be up to players as its a building/simulation game. (at heart) Have big urban centers and suburbia. with country towns in between. But it should be up to the player. And idk if you ever been to Detroit and Metro Detroit, but it all just kinda merges together... I starts from downtown detroit, midtown, then subruban sprawl for the rest of detroit and metro area with smaller downtowns like dearborn, birmingham, grosse pointe, ferndale, and royal oak sprinkled in. Then you get that are large "employment centers" that feature skyscrapers like Southfield, Troy, and Dearborn.- 1,284 Replies

Its not the same thing. The regions are designed poorly and doesn't make up for lost city size.

Here's a video to support this. The citizens are just filling up the nearest house then moves on to the next one http://youtu.be/WH-CdkSqDSs

So are they going to at least put cities right next to each other in these new regions?

Discussion about City Tile Size
champloo08 replied to alex macnamara's topic in SimCity (2013) General Discussion
I don't mind the tile size, but I hate the region with the huge spaces between the cities. I don't mind the tile size because I understand everyone's computer is not equipped top handle it , but the spaces between the cities are ridiculous! The tiles could have been side by side and made a city based off of districts then made the surrounding suburbs.- 1,284 Replies

Welp. The company is trying their hardest for me to keep disliking this game. I'll just wait like 2-3 years before purchasing this. I just ordered Cities XL 2012 to fill that 3D void. -
Need a lot of parking for those office workers

Will you buy Simcity 2013?
champloo08 replied to MTLT_17's topic in SimCity (2013) General Discussion
I'll wait a few years before I purchase it. I won't to see what the mods will do, because the tiny cities and spaces between them is whats stopping me from purchasing the game.
