This The Cloth Hall (Sukiennice) was made by MRQS and originally was uploaded onto http://www.simcitypolska.pl/, which is no longer existing and this upload hasn't been available according to my best knowladge since then. Please note as part of the SimCity Polska Restoration efforts and with the permission of the Simtropolis Staff Members (Cyclone Boom, CorinaMarie and Tyberius06), this file has been uploaded on behalf of MRQS. All the works contained within this download (lots, descriptors and models) were created by MRQS. The lot file has been updated with the SC4PIM-X (x-Tool) by Tyberius06 ----------------------------------------------------------- In 1257 by location of Cracow prince Boleslaw Wstydliwy undertook to build the cloth stalls. They were almost like a lane with stalls which was closed for the night time with iron gratings. The cloth merchants were placed on the ground floor, and on the first floor small objects made of metal, clay or wood were sold. In 1300 the whole structure was covered with a roof and in this form the Cloth Hall was preserved until the first half of the 14th century. A new, bricked Cloth Hall was built by king Kazimierz III Wielki. The middle hall was 108 m long and 10 m wide. There were two rows of stalls, 18 on each side. It was covered with vaults, and from the inside opened with ogival or semicircular portals. From the southern and northern side the double, ogival arcade was built. The Gothic building was consumed by fire in 1555. The reconstruction of the Cloth Hall in the style of the Renaissance was started by master Pankracy who arched the large hall of the Cloth Hall. At that time the characteristic attic with arcade sections, the masks sculpted by Santi Gucci showing human heads (wry, deformed by suffering, supposed to symbolize any human faults) and stone loggias, designed by Giovanni Maria Padovano, were created. Cloth Hall - side view In 1601, to improve communication between the western and eastern part of the Market Square, a passing was punched in the middle of the length of the Cloth Hall. Such a move was made on the initiative of municipal councillor Joachim Ciepielowski. The next reconstruction of the Cloth Hall took place in 1875 - 1879, and it was managed by Tomasz Prylinski. All the stalls were pulled down, and the lower hall was transformed into a line of wooden trade stalls placed along the walls. The passing in the middle of the length of the Cloth Hall was decorated with breaks, on top of which masks were put showing the caricatures of the then presidents of Cracow. On the whole length of the Cloth Hall, the ogival arcades were created. No dependencies. Landmark 7x3. I began working on this Pub in Bedford, England as it seemed to represent a specific style of Mock Tudor, common in 1930s and 1950s England. Not until I was nearing completion did I realise that it is a landmark, being the longest established gay bar in Britain. Then again, considering the monumental rate at which even high traffic pubs are closing due to the severely adverse tax and regulatory regime that they face in Britain, it is clear that, increasingly, only Specialist pubs, are likely to have much of a chance of survival. -

An 8-story fictional Lego store, inspired by buildings in Tokyo in general. This fictional Lego store has the first three floors as store, the next four as a Legoland experience, and top floor cafe and dining. Has full nightlights. I'm sure the ventilation is terrible in this building though. This is basically a special Christmas release for me, as I wanted to get this done before a winter break. Contains a 2x2 CS$$8 building and a 2x2 Plop. Dependencies: None! Enjoy. -

The WestWind Streets (WWS) is a texture replacement mod for Maxis Streets. It covers all intersections with the various networks present in the NAM (47,48,...). Such as RealRailWay (RRW), Tram (GLR) or the various NWM roads with 3, 4, ... lanes. It adds a little variety to the street network with 4 types of T and X crossroads (one type for wealth0 ; 1 ; 2-3 ; 4-5-6), plus a set of "countryside" textures (w7) in 2 options versions: unkerbed or gravel-sides. WWStreets also cover the Tram-in-Street (GLR) network and the FLUPS underground tunnels. A number of segments have been produced in RHD and LHD. A fairly generic LHD, between Oceania and the UK. Insofar as the network's operating rules allow. Following the example of RIVIT's Tarseal Street plugin, I offer texture replacement for JRJ Parking Bays - for the SFBT Street Mod plugin (since I use it!) And as a small tribute to RIVIT, an adaptation of its Lot textures. Of course, the automata paths are adapted accordingly. As well as some LHD and RHD T21s. Distribution You can download, on this page, the ready-to-play version with Maxis grass textures. Or you can pick up the WestWindStreets_Fabrik_x (on my drive) to generate the set with your own grass textures. Using GoFSH (From RIVIT). Production file : build_WWStreets.txt News, preparation for updating this mod ... on this thread ! Installation .. As this Mod must be loaded after the NAM, and others... drop the contents of the ZIP: z____scoty_mods\ directly in the Plugins folder : Documents\SimCity 4\Plugins\ .. To be on the safe side, keep the tree structure of the ready-to-play version. And for the Fabrik version, place the contents of _prod\ in a directory named: z____scoty_mods. For all distribution .. .. To keep or not to keep the [WWS - zOptional Cul-de-Sac] directory: Circular end street. (See screenshots above). .. If you're an SFBT Street Tree Mod user (here revised version), the directory: WWS - JRJ Side Parking bays, contains an overload of this plugin adapted for WWStreets. .. Delete the WWS - T21s [LHD|RLHD]] directory according to your driving direction. WWStreets modifies/adapts the positioning of some intersection props (T21). Maxis and NAM. Please ensure that these files are not overloaded by another plugin. Such as Mandelsoft's Stoplights_replacement_mod plugin. The latter can coexist with WWStreets, without any degradation, if it is loaded beforehand. In Scoty-WWStreets\ directory .. .. discard files that are not for your traffic direction (LHD/RHD) and your region: EU and US (for the moment) - or both, e.g.: EU LHD, ... .. and choose one of the Rural option : Unkerbed or Gravel sides. (See screenshots above). .. Keep only the SAM transitions (scoty-WWStreets - z_opt WWS-SAM nnnnn.dat) for which you have installed the plugins (Rivit, MGB, Magneto). ----- WestWindStreets & WWS-SAM with RUM ---- Added WestWindStreet to RUM - for those in the know. Rivit's RUM Mod - and MGB rails - supports WestWindStreet. As it should be, the RUM plugin should be loaded after WWS. 202506 RUM MGB - E5 HuguesAroux StreetX.zip 202506 RUM Maxis Lookalike - E5 HuguesAroux StreetX.zip -

The last time I've had played SimCity 3000 (which was my very first SC game, by the way) was almost 20 years ago. As soon as I got SimCity 4 at my hands in 2008, SC3K became a memory for me. A memory made by beautiful moments full of fun and experimentation. In fact, it was both playing SimCity 3000 and my university studies as an environmental engineer that led me to discover The Venus Project and Jacque Fresco's ideas about a Resource-Based Economy and Sociocyberneering back in 2005. No joke. Now it's high time to bring back those memories and have some old-school fun. Don't worry, though. I'm not gonna abandon SimCity 4 and my Welcome to Fairview CJ. Back then I also used to download buildings from sites such as Gemika's Reality and make my own too. My buildings were simple designed and as terrible as you can imagine. Terring's Terrible Buildings, SC3K edition . Fortunately I don't have them anymore. Trust me, you don't want to see them. They're that bad. But now it's time to make better buildings (I hope). First stop, parks. I made a set of custom parks to replace the in-game ones, designed to be mixed together in a way that would allow you to form virtual paths and sidewalks, and create epic zones of green and relaxation areas. So what we have in this upload are: Small park: Comes with a big tree in the middle and some benches for your Sims to take a rest at the tree's shadow. Big park: Comes with more trees and benches, and also with a central clearing for picnics, small gathers, local events, stargazing, yoga sessions etc. Fountain: Actually a big fountain with 4 smaller ones. Uses custom textures and props made by Night Angel, which can be found at Gemika's Reality site above. Just search for the 5x5 Stardust Casino&Hotel New Mille to get them. Pond: A simple (maybe too simple) pond with a pier to allow your Sims to feed the ducks closer and safer, and with a green fence surrounding it to protect the ducks from city hazards, such as cars and aggressive dogs. By the way, both the pond and the fountain use props (the green fence) that are available here. Playground: Comes with a central kiosk for parents to take a rest and watch their kids playing around and burning some ice cream calories. Installation is simple. Just pick the .zip file and unzip all the .bld files at the GOG Games\SimCity 3000 Unlimited\Buildings folder. Yes, I have the GOG version and not the Steam one, so installation may be different in Steam version. Then it's up to you to use the parks however you please. Have fun -

This is a 3x3 skyscraper, meant to be used as a commercial building. It is based on the real life building with the same name. The real life counterpart is located in Tokyo, Japan, and was completed in 1990. It features 23 floors. The building has a weird gray/silver thing that is partially covering some of the early floors, I tried to be innovative and put a logo on it. Also, the real life building features a tall red and white mast which I couldn't replicate in game, so I replaced it with generic rooftop props. To use, unzip the archive and copy the files into Simcity3000/buildings folder. -

More than 1200 acronyms and technical terms explained Description This is a dictionary of the most common abbreviations, acronyms and technical terms around SimCity 4. It started as my personal notes and since I used the file format of a stand-alone wiki I am sharing it here. I hope it will be useful, particularly to new mayors who try to navigate the SC4 world. Installation The file is a zipped HTML file. Unzip it and open it with a browser, with JavaScript enabled. Suggestions and Corrections I am sure there is more work to be done. There are aspects of the game that I haven't explored yet and there will likely be things I got wrong. Please share your suggestions and corrections with me in this topic: Thanks to Cori and Cyclone Boom for your advice and input! simmering -

@rsc204 and @11241036 have been fixing little glitches in this collection. The version under the download button is now v2.3. If you previously downloaded v2.1 then you do not need to re-download the whole thing. Here's the direct instructions for what what was changed and how to update your v2.1 copy of it: Original description: Hi, here I post the link to my Italian BATs: a large collection of models and lots made by myself. They include W2Ws, condos, row houses, churches, palaces, factories, farms, canals, and other props, many of which you can see at work in my "Augusta, large Italian city" journal here. The total size of the zip is 230 MB total. Once unzipped, the download weighs 263 MB overall, and includes: The actual game files. The "BAT clips" folder, containing screenshots of most gmax scenes, so that you know which is which. The Readme, with more detailed information. Whatever files you choose to use, DO NOT DELETE the ones named "blank.." located in the "Lot props" folder, as they are needed for most lots to work. Unless, of course, you know for certain they are not needed for the specific lots you will be using. I'm sorry for not having time to properly upload my works one by one with documentation, dependencies lists etc. I hope they can still be useful to players who need Italian-themed content, as the latter is quite rare. Some lots, especially small ones, do not require any dependencies. If brown boxes do appear, the missing dependencies can be detected by using SC4Tool. Should anybody, after scanning some lot, wish to upload it directly to the STEX, he is welcome to do so, as long as I am mentioned as the author. Thank you and enjoy! DEPENDENCIES Given the extent of this collection, there are 58 dependencies in total. Staff Edit - December 2021: As per their comment here, thanks to @11241036 for compiling the above dependencies list. EXTRAS In case some batter wishes to play around with my models, I will provide the link for the BAT scenes too -- at least the ones that survived my pc crush/change. Just let me know. The same for the automata I modded, which you can spot in my journal as well. They include buses, long trailer trucks, scooters, superbikes, etc, and are not included in my Italian BATs collection because some of them are modifications of custom content by other authors, so I can't claim full credit + their instances may conflict. If I get requests regardless of these issues, I will share them too. Simcity4ever88 -

Description: Based on various plugins I've found, this plugin contains 4 small (1x1) waterfall lots that can be placed on cliffs to simulate a waterfall on land. All waterfalls can be placed on any slope, even on water (if the bottom part of the cliff is in the sea), to facilitate creating a transition to the sea. They should be able to be combined with most available ploppable water pieces and water mods. For further information, please refer to the Readme files in the download. Available languages: Both the readmes and the in-game description texts are available in English and German. Submenu compatibility: All people using memo’s Submenus DLL mod will find these lots in their own submenu in the Park menu. All others will simply find them in the Park menu itself. Please refer to the Readme to see how the submenu icon looks like. Disclaimer: Please feel free to develop your own lots using these lot foundations/retaining walls, but if sharing them, please point to this files as a dependency. Short description: Some lots, when being placed on slopes, will either raise the floor beneath them, or cut into the hill. In the former case, a lot foundation is being created, in the latter, a retaining wall. Perhaps it's just me, but I’m quite surprised that I’ve only found very few plugins with custom foundations and none at all with retaining walls; therefore, I’ve turned some textures by Maxis or other authors (see below for credits) into lot foundations and retaining walls. This plugin therefore acts as a dependency for plugin developers, providing them with the necessary textures and exemplar files. Dependencies: As it is a dependency itself, this plugin has no external dependencies. Contained Files: LotFoundations.dat: Contains textures and exemplar files for lot foundations. Mandatory. RetainingWalls.dat: Contains textures and exemplar files for retaining walls. Mandatory. TestLots.dat: This file contains some testing lots that have one texture from both files applied to them, allowing you to test them in-game. These lots do not cost anything and do not have any special features. They are at the bottom of the park menu. If you do not want these lots, you can remove this file safely. Other than that, this download contains a Readme (unfortunately, due to its size, this time only in English) containing all necessary informations, as well as a tutorial on how to actually switch to another fondation/retaining wall and how to use lots if they are supposed to be placed on slopes. Installation: Move or copy all files in this archive into the Plugins folder of your copy of SimCity 4. To uninstall, just remove these files. Compatibility: This plugin should be compatible with all versions of SimCity 4. If you find out that this is not the case, please tell me. Credits: My special thanks go to all authors that kindly gave me permission to modify and share their work. At the moment, this ist just one person: Mas71: His set of Japanese hill retaining walls surely is part of the plugins that I’m using most frequently. Now, their functionability is even being expanded. Support: Please feel free to post issues, bug reports, and suggestions in this thread: -
