Thank you for viewing New Chandler's presentation of the bid of the XX ISC Session. We have great reason on why you should pick New Chandler. We have a reliable and professional history of Simlympic material, including hosting the latest summer games in New Chandler City, an ISC session in Roseburgh, as well as two torch relay legs and multiple qualification tournaments. We are by far the most experienced proven force out of the bidders we go against. This bid takes place in Rockaway, who hosted the latest...

XV Simlympic Bid

Though it's not the largest CJ entry in the history of all the versions of New Chandler (that belong to an entry in New Chandler 2.0), it is the largest in New Chandler III (the current version). I'd recommend you play the Cee Lo Green song (it's clean lyrics unlike his other, more popular song and it's good music) while viewing this one. Don't forget the banner and the mosaic too - official banner (it's 1604x1357) official bid song - "bright lights bigger city" by cee lo green This is the Simlympic Bid...

Winchester.... again

Votes have decided that it is better for the new stadium to not be built, Winchester FC will continue to share the university's stadium instead. We are going a bit farther North of University of Winchester on this entry. The apartments here are a bit older and more dense. They still have the open areas in the middle, however. A zoomed-in picture. In this image you can see two newly built high rise apartments. Lets not forget, though, that no residential area in New Chandler is far from a park full of trees...

Winchester!

Sorry to disappoint you guys... hopefully this entry makes up for it, if it doesn't then I am terribly sorry. Winchester is on the opposite side of the Western River, due East of Roseburgh. Over the last twenty years it has become one of New Chandler's bustling commerce and entertainment hubs. The Winchester Spur highway, connecting the 612 to the 43, is empty today. It divides the downtown from the Embarcadero District. The Embarcadero District houses high rises, Mediterranean-styled apartments and shop...

I've been playing with GIMP a little bit. I'm personally most impressed with myself with the train station (look at the signs) and the arena (scoreboard and court). Also, this entry (in city journal sections, not in AIFF bidding sections) has an optional voting portion! Enjoy! Winchester is bidding to host the International Futsal League (IFL) All-Star Game. The logo is the IFL logo against the New Chandler colors. The game would take place in the New Chandler National Futsal Center. Although it is...

12 comments. Not bad, would have liked more though. I want feedback so I can improve! Also, the files page has been updated with the La Brea Light Rail map, which can be download directly by clicking the link given. (the files page is the one after the introduction). Sepen20: Thanks for the comment, glad you liked it! TowerDude: Thanks for the comment... Welcome to the Jungle (great song by the way, Guns n' Roses sings it). CTMandR: Thanks for the comment, I am glad you will be following the journal. I...

Western La Brea

I have got a lot of feedback from my last entry. Thanks to everyone who commented. It really helps having a lot of critique on my first post! Here are my the replies. Jayman8464 (page one): Thanks for the comment; I sure hope your feeling is right! simcityguru: Thanks for the comment! I will try to add a few more empty gates in the future (I was just at JFK, I was used to crowded airports, guess this is a little "too" crowded. Understandable). tkuelker: Thanks for the compliment, I love airports too. I...

Update 60 Teaser!

I hope all of you have been having a good summer so far, I certainly have... which is why you haven't seen a lot of me As far as SC4 goes, I still have completely set up the road layout and terrain for four large city tiles in the ever-growing metropolitan area I have been showcasing for a while. But haven't started the developing of them until now, and I'm still only part way through one of them but you'll see that one in Update 60. Here is a shot of what it looks like now.

Update 50 Teaser #3

It's been a pretty lousy week, between K50's academic workload, Sandy on the east coast, and Obama and Crazy Joe staying in office. I do have this teaser for you though. I'm not going to say much about it because I should be writing an essay right now, so enjoy As always I'll do replies in the comments once I release the next entry.

Update 50 Teaser #2

As I have said, update 50 is another drive through New Chandler City, similar to update 49. This is a very small glimpse of a major interchange that we will go through, where provincial route 8, national route 880, and national route 5E convene. It's fully functional (any freeway can be accessed from another freeway without stopping) and it's pretty messy, it extends 50 tiles, and what you see here is the widest part, so it's pretty cozy. You'll get to see all of it though (mosaic?) so don't worry. Damn, I...

Thanks to everyone who stopped by my last entry! This is a teaser to the 63rd entry. This is an area I have enjoyed working on but I'm not sure it will fit into where I will be showing the next entry, so I thought I'd show it all off in one big picture. Also I have no idea when the next entry will be but hopefully it will be sooner than later. A few notes - as usual, EVERY tree and rock along the coastline is placed individually by myself. This took a great deal of time to do but I think you will like the...

Tropical Islands

Twilight City is a small resort town in the Solvanese Ocean. Though small resort towns are more popular with tourists from New Chandler, they do attract a few international visitors as well. And no, it's not named after the book On the southwest tip of the island is the ferry port, where most of the hotels are. There is also a stadium, home of Twilight City FC. It's the smallest stadium for a NCFL top-tier team. Most visitors watch their own team play the weak Twilight City squad. The rich and the retired...

Thanks for all of the great remarks on my last update! For the first time in God knows how long, I'm posting a new update without a teaser first! It's a transit update, and it covers three large city tiles! I don't have a transit map yet (the bus lines in Carla Vista's hill-based street layout aren't playing nice) but I will release one with Update 56, which might come sooner than you think. Thanks, and until then, enjoy Update 55 from Carla Vista and Murray City! And one more thing, if you notice to your...

Meant to post this yesterday but my laptop died. My bad. Just ignore the date for now. Transcendenta International Airport is by far the largest airport in the country. It acts as a hub for flag carrier New Chandler Airways and USA airliner Delta Airlines. Transcendenta is split up neatly into 6 concourses, each one starting with a letter. Terminal A is airlines based out of the United States. It was remodeled two years ago. The satellite terminal is connected by underground tunnels; it is also where the...

Well, here we are, update forty! Darlington City is a coastal city that gets slammed with monsoon weather this time of year. The result is a saturated, damp, and depressing environment for days in a row. At the Darlington City FC Stadium, things are quiet. People drive around the stone streets to get to a freeway entrance should they need it. The last plane for the night has just hit the slippery runway at Darlington-Cassidy International. The other side of the airport. It never matters how much land you...

The Promised Land?

As I said in the replies to my previous entry, Update 53 will not be in Doherty. Instead, it's going to be.... here....... Any guesses on what I'm working on? There's a pretty obvious clue if you catch it Thanks for visiting and your comments as always.

The New Chandler CBD

Thank you Mithrik and Schulmanator! This entry has high quality pictures if you right click on the image, and view image (or open image in new tab for my fellow Google Chrome users). If you don't have Google Chrome, get it. The New Chandler CBD is in one of New Chandler's most beautiful settings, where the Western River meets the Pacific Ocean. Because the CBD is on the coast, it can get a bit windy down on the streets, with all the flat buildings pushing air down on them. The NCnews and NCsports Channel 2...

The Culture Shock of Doherty

One of the biggest updates in the history of the New Chandler City Journal. No voting, no fancy stuff, just the city of Doherty. enjoy! New banner by the way... now with subtitles At the bottom of this picture are poor slums. At the top are rich homes. Driving one way and your car can get keyed. On the other there are college students in the latest fashions walking to White University (at the left of this picture) A glimpse of Mount Doherty, a protected area, and the city below it. The rich side is full...

The City That Lives

Just a really small update, especially for me... I'm going to make a bigger one, one transportation based, in the near future. I'm also going to be photoediting a lot more on that entry New Chandler City. By far the largest city in the country. And by far the most alive. It's also the national capital and the capital of the United Soverign Nations union. It's a pretty place, of flowing commerce.... A place of tranquility and fun.... And, of course, blinding lights.

The Capital City

Mr. G, I am sorry about your predicament. Mithrik, better late than never! Thanks to everyone else who commented, really! I appreciate it. Lets get to todays entry... No header today, sorry.... The capitol building of New Chandler 1.0, New Chandler 2.0 will have a different one. Down the "Capitol Green" is the Department of Foreign Affairs. Near the green are medium-density housing, New Chandler law prohibits buildings being taller than the capitol building within five miles of it (unless it is on the...

To start, there is finally a map of New Chandler. Today, we are in New Chandler City, the large green area in the southwest corner. Particular the Central Core, which is just above the peninsula to the east of Raintree Cove. Well guess what, you only get two pictures today. Click them, you'll be glad you did. (one of the smaller forum-sized ones is being a little "trippy" but if you click it you should still get something). There are about 1366x3200, one is a bit larger, one a bit smaller.

The 'C' Line

I got 22 comments! 15 of which also read the directions and voted! The voting resulted in a staggering 9 votes for the park, 3 for the tower, and 2 for the medical center. Some of you voted twice, so I took the first one In short: A new park is being made in East La Brea! This entry also has voting. It's my biggest yet (17 pictures!) so I hope you enjoy it and VOTE!Julien: Thanks for the comment and for voting, I don't know of any kind of rain mod, I made it on GIMP.Thomas: Thanks for the comment and for...

Teaser to Update 50

Junior year is as bad as everyone said it is so it might be another week or two (or three ) before I get this out, but it's going to have a lot of pictures. The style will be the same as the last update so not too many surprises. If you want to look ahead the Simlympic Bid (EDIT: Not the Galanos one from last month, the New Chandler City one from last year) might be your best bet, but practically every highway you see in those pictures is being redone. Here's a really badly-timed (as in, no cars)...
