2016-02-13_00049.thumb.jpg.08e54fcb5f447I'm always trying to choose the best available color variation for the detail pictures, and in this case, I would not scroll down any further if I were you....

This house is quite small, and I don't understand what makes this a medium-wealth building.

Default Stats

  • Zone: Residential Low-density
  • Level: 2 (medium-wealth cims)
  • Lot size: 2x3 (can expand to 2x4)

Detail Pictures

Default Colour Variations & Illumination

Really nice choice, CO! The colour variation affects the roofs and the foundation.

Improved Colour Variations

This was one of the first assets I reviewed. I guess the colours are still a bit too strong, but at least I got rid of the yellow, green and violet.

5) Suggestions for improvement:

The modified darker-brown variation seems to be the best looking one among the others, imo. These houses are actually quite common where I'm from minus the chimney, and it is considered $$ too... Anyway I'd get rid of the patio table/chairs at the entrance, maybe add some fences at the backyard, and also a few bushes in the front. I don't know anything about making assets/modding but is it possible to replace the chessboard with something flat? like default concrete floor, I think it compliments the security window grills.

This is a strange one. :P  I'd change the checkered texture out for something else or tone it down alot. Might be worth making it look more rundown and decorate it with some chainlink fence, tall grass/weeds and some trash. Your color variations helps alot, though I still find the default light blue roof a bit strange.

5) Suggestions for improvement:
- Remove the color map from the wall and the chimney. Replace it with a greyish texture. It's awfull.
- Add a garden with props.
- Checkered pattern is ok, but change the orange sides of the porch, to more something neutral, white or grey and desaturize the checker pattern.
- Add a specular map for the roof.

This looks like an upper-middle class Japanese home or lower-middle class inner suburban home.
