Very interesting, I hope the hurricane goes someplace else and doesn't hit the cities.

I missed a poll? 42.gif Oh, no, I missed a poll. I MISSED A POLL! 26.gif Anyway, I would vote for the M.I.R.R so it seems that no great harm was done. To me, at least. It seems you are right, Mr. Leech, about the whole time thing; I don't think I will have problem with finding a little time to drop in. In any case, Mr. Leech10, I am gaping at the wonderful development taking place on Myon. The sunken highway is perfect, as is the roundabout (I am generally very fond of roundabouts). Garcer River Park seems a triffle unusual, but I am sure it looks great from the perspective of a Myonian, especially during night. Thulan is growing nice - I liked very much the beach and its placement. I didn't have the chance to feel any kind of desperation about Hurrican Alex, and I take it that it has dispersed (no direct announcement of this has been made - should I blame the media on Myon?). The space picture is great, too. 19.gif So, continue the good work. Still waiting for a map, mind you! I don't want to become pressive but I confess I am a little disoriented. Oh, and something else. I don't claim to have much knowledge of Latin, but I think Hirudinea Decem means Leech 10. Am I right?

And something more. This is my tenth post! 39.gif
Well, it's not much, but I am not used to participating in forums, anyway.

    Comments:

    6underground: Thanks for the comment!

    warll: I don't understand your comment, what are you wondering about?

    Bo_almighty: Glad you like it!

    wodsworth: Sorry, the airport is not available for download as it was made with an airport pack.

    Exhagaga: Thanks for the comment!

    Marvin: Well, the hurricane did go someplace else, but not far enough away...

    Nardo69: I'm glad you like it!

    Bill the Greek: The hurricane did disperse, but not before causing a lot of damage to Amiton. There should be a map next update showing all the towns (except Thulan), and I think that Hirudinea Decem means Leech 10, as I know Hirudinea means leech.

    Leech Labs: Where weird stuff is made. Your results may vary.

    Thank god that hurricane is over by now.

    Seems to be that on Myon there have the same problems like on Earth... Now I am curious what will happen to the empty spaces the hurricane did.

    And at least one good news in the paper 48.gif

    Nardo 44.gif

    BTW: Did you ever played SC2K? The best disaster IMHO was the hurricane ... I had a lot of fun designing my town within a given landscape in a away that could stand the hurricane. Too bad they cut this disaster out ...

    July, Year 18

    hspace=0http://img380.imageshack.us/img380/6769/myonjuly1805bx.jpg align=baseline border=0>
    The railroad from Ferneon to Amiton is advancing relatively quickly, and has so far made it to the area directly to the north of Amiton. Construction will slow down once it is in the Amiton area due to the activity going on there, but for the most part, construction will go quickly.

    hspace=0http://img355.imageshack.us/img355/5556/myonjuly1820uo.jpg align=baseline border=0>
    Here you can see the planned construction in the area, the green lines are already completed rail lines, and the red lines show what will need to be built. The dotted lines show tunnels (in the already completed lines, only the tunnel going up the cliff is shown, the other 2 are not shown on the map), and the blue boxes show where the freight terminal and runway will be built at Amiton Airport/Myon Spaceport.

    hspace=0http://img355.imageshack.us/img355/2166/myonjuly1813xx.jpg align=baseline border=0>
    This is a map of the region, all small towns are circled and labeled, while the cities are just labeled. Amiton may look ok in this view, but down in the city there is still a lot of cleanup work left to be done.

    Amiton Cleanup Status:
    Tents set up in mobile home district where most of the people are now homeless, and temporary shelters in the area give out food and water to those people.
    Medicine and medicals supplies donated by other countries in the SCJU brought to Amiton Hospital and to temporary shelters to be available for use.
    Downtown homes fixed, fixing of the rest of the homes is beginning.
    Main runway at Amiton Airport fixed.
    Things left to do
    Rebuild homes in mobile home district.
    Repair, rebuild, and strengthen Amiton Docks
    Finish repairs on Myon Dam.

    Myon News
    The terror alert has be elevated to code Yellow due to recent activity by the terrorist group Combattenti Contro Unito (translates as Fighters Against the United) in several SCJU countries.
    The terror scale and what each level means:

    Green: Low risk for terrorist attack, bags at Myon Spaceport scanned with x-ray scanners and people need to go through metal detectors.

    Yellow : Medium risk for attack, same as green only with random bags opened up and searched, and suspicious individuals questioned.

    Orange: High risk for attack, same as above only with random searches of passengers using hand held scanners

    Red: A known attack plan is found, or a warning is received that an attack is imminent: All passengers searched with hand held scanners, suspicious individuals questioned, and all bags opened and searched. Near total lockdown at airports due to security checks.

    Comments:

    Nardo69: What do you mean by this: the empty spaces the hurricane did.? I haven't played SC2000 in awhile, but it seemed like when I did the hurricane disaster no matter where I had the city it would flood, even if it was at the top of a mountain.

    Bo_almighty: Glad you like it!

    Marvin: Thanks for the comment!

    Leech Labs: Where weird stuff is made. Your results may vary.

    Ah, SC2k, the hurricane was my favourite disister too, the flooding everywhere was from the excessive rain I think.42.gif
    The construction is still going ahead luckily, and Id really like to see some pics of that cliff side railway near the dam, Im trying to do that too, and its hard!

    hspace=0http://img108.imageshack.us/img108/3909/myonseptember1809oj.jpg align=baseline border=0>
    Here you can see the new avenue they are beginning to build, and the first thing they did was create 2 smaller simple streets down first so they don't need to close down large areas i town to build it. Also being built next to this is a new building for the Myon Hotels chain, which will be 10 stories tall and include an outdoor swimming pool.

    hspace=0http://img167.imageshack.us/img167/1782/myonseptember1824fe.jpg align=baseline border=0>
    The construction of the new freight terminal at is going smoothly so far, as well as the planning for the freight runway to be built behind it. The rail line will go under the airport for most of the way, and it will come above group log enough to branch off to go to the freight terminal.

    hspace=0http://img167.imageshack.us/img167/4492/myonseptember1810hd.jpg align=baseline border=0>
    Off to the east of Wenton, and to the south of the Tramyo Volcano Observatory is Bulnaruke Lake, which was named by the zukes and includes a zuke town near the northern end. On the southern end a small settlement was formed for the people who wanted to live out in the forest, but not be surrounded by thick, uncharted jungles that exist to the north of Myon City. Once you get out of sight of the seawalls, levees, and the end of M1, large creatures about the size of horses have been found, and they seem to be very aggressive. It is unknown what they eat, but it is advised to stay away from them.

    Amiton Cleanup Status : Around 90% of the buildings have been repaired and rebuilt, work will now begin on Amiton Docks

    Comments:

    Exhagaga: Since I got the pictures before I saw that you posted, I couldn't get pictures of the cliff rail, but there are ones with roads and highways on the cliffs somewhere in there that you can look at.

    Marvin: Thanks for the comment, and here's the update.

    the water didn't actually rise, it's just leveled out land, he used PEG's pong kit to create the water, making it appear to be filled.

    i believe that all of those mods can also be found on this website

    November Year 18

    A view of the railway construction on the cliffside at night.

    hspace=0http://img334.imageshack.us/img334/3705/myonnovember1818iv.jpg align=baseline border=0>
    A small island in Bulnaruke lake has been settled on, and this island is located just to the north of the area where the development has taken place last update.

    hspace=0http://img334.imageshack.us/img334/2206/myonnovember1826yn.jpg align=baseline border=0>
    As you continue to the north on the lake, you will reach the zuke village, which is very similar to just about any other zuke village you will come across in the area. The zukes here mostly fish and hunt in the surrounding area for food, and don't farm like the zukes in the Myon Tropics do.

    At around 3:00 AM on November 17th, there was an odd rumbling noise that was followed by 3 lights in a triangle that flew over Myon City and Ferneon before vanishing just as suddenly as they had appeared...

    The_Rogue: I used teirusu's rain mod to make the water rise at Myon Dam and it can be found here: http://www.teirusu.com/ , and check the STEX, that is where I get most of my stuff.

    Bo_almighty: I only used PEG's pond kit for the finished lake.

    jacqulina: Thanks for the comment!

    January Year 19

    hspace=0http://img389.imageshack.us/img389/4106/myonjanuary1904vl.jpg align=baseline border=0>
    A new town has been founded to the south of Wenton, and it has been named Three Rivers City due to its location on the Wenten River, Melime River, and Myon River B (a small river linking Melime River and the main part of Myon River). This picture is of the business district in the downtown area, and you can see Main Street as it runs to the southeast towards the tip of the peninsula that Three Rivers City is located on.

    hspace=0http://img339.imageshack.us/img339/1386/myonjanuary1918jr.jpg align=baseline border=0>
    Just to the south of downtown is the waterfront area, where there are many places to eat, as well as shops and plaza areas where you can go to relax, buy stuff, or just walk around enjoying the scenery. It is similar to Amiton Docks but here the waterfront walkway is up higher and there are no fishing areas here, as well as the fact that it is mostly made of brick instead of wood.

    hspace=0http://img386.imageshack.us/img386/4305/myonjanuary1928ry.jpg align=baseline border=0>
    Just to give you an idea of the layout of the area, here is a larger overview of the city. Myon River B is the river that the waterfront is located on, and Wenten River is on the other side and goes under the bridge. Melime River is off of the picture, and if you continue on Main Street off of the bottom of the picture you will reach Melime River at the end of the peninsula.

    Myon News
    In Amiton, reconstruction is almost complete, and the Myon Hotels building is also nearing completion. Completion of the construction there is expected to be done next month, and Myon Hotels will open up their first large hotel building towards the end of next month.

    Several more unidentified flying lights have been discovered over Myon City as well as Amiton during the night, but so far, not even the military radars at Myon Spaceport were able to pick anything up in the locations at all, even when a line of pulsating lights flew right over the spaceport.

    Investigations of these light shows will continue with AF-1s patrolling the skis at night, as well as a surveillance of the ground as well to see if it is some pranksters with spotlights who are shining them on the clouds.

    Comments
    Hmm, it's been quiet here recently...

    Exhagaga: Thanks for the comment,  I think it took about an hour to place all of the tiles in for Amiton Lake, as all together it is about the size of a medium city tile, and then there were the other lakes seen, like the ones near Thulan, Bulnaruke, and the ones over by the Vacimin River. I wish PEG had made a 10x10 pond tile, it sure would make it go quicker!

    Marvin: Well they still haven't figured out the lights, and thanks for the comment!

    pipishere: Glad you like it!

    Leech Labs: Where weird stuff is made. Your results may vary.

    That last night pic with the illuminated bridge and RTK is my favourite!

    March, Year 19

    Myonhttp://img318.imageshack.us/img318/4387/myonmarch1906zm.jpg align=baseline border=0>
    The reconstruction of Amiton is now complete, and some of the renovation projects are complete as well. The main avenue to Amiton Stadium and Amiton Docks is complete, as is the new Myon Hotels building on M1. (If you can't read the lit up sign, it says Myon Hotels)

    Amitonhttp://img318.imageshack.us/img318/7098/myonmarch1918mf.jpg align=baseline border=0>
    Also complete is the construction of Amiton Airport, which now has both runways open for takeoffs and landings. Myon Spaceport uses the east-west runway not shown (it is off of the bottom edge of the picture), and the Freight terminal uses the northern east-west runway, leaving the 2 north-south runways for passenger flights.

    Threehttp://img318.imageshack.us/img318/4712/myonmarch1929mn.jpg align=baseline border=0>
    On the other side of Myon River B from Three Rivers City is the industrial district, while currently small, is expected to grow as more raw materials are shipped in from Thulan. Several small cargo ships transport the finished supplies off to other locations, such as Thulan, (path: Myon River B to Melime River to Unnamed Ocean to Thulan River), and various zuke communities along the rivers in the area. Three Rivers City is expected to grow due to its location on several rivers in the area, and the growing industrial port. However, it will not be able to grow as big as Amiton or Myon City because of its location. The peninsula it is on is limited in space, and the rivers take up a lot of space in the area, so it is expected to grow to around a maximum of 100,000 people.

    Myon News:
    Myon Flag Chosen
    Myonhttp://img83.imageshack.us/img83/4827/myonflag8vb.png border=0>

    An official flag for the planet has been selected, out of a total of around 10 different flags suggested by the people. The blue stands for the many rivers that are on the planet, the red stands for the red stands for the spaceships that were used to get to the planet, and the white X stands for the exploration of the planet, which is shown in the center.

    Tropical Storm Brittany Develops
    A new tropical storm has developed in the Melemon Ocean, and it is beginning to strengthen as it heads out into the warm waters in the central part of the ocean. Its projected path currently takes it well to the north of Myon City and Amiton, and unlike Hurricane Alex, Brittany is traveling at a higher speed so it won't have as long of a time to strengthen. The current wind speed is 57MPH (92 kph) and the minimum pressure is 967millibars.

    Comments:

    pipishere: Glad you like it!

    Nardo69: Actually, you missed 3, but they are relatively small and easy to read, but as for the bridge on the railway, you will just have to wait and see. (Greg Canyon Bridge is in there though)

    Marvin: Thanks for the comment!

    Exhagaga: I'm glad you like it!

    jacqulina: Thank you for the comment!
