    Hello guys,

Here's a quickie update, just because I'm bored. This will only be a text update, I have yet to take the pictures for the next pictorial update.

    SUICIDE SOLUTION?

Artemis Winchester, a city planner, was found unconscious yesterday at Princess Anne Memorial Hospital, with large self-inflicted wounds. It is reported that Mr. Winchester had mental health problems, and his current psychiatrist, Dr. Mahatma Battoo, was quoted as saying that, Mr. Winchester was making progress. I am very concerned for his health and I hope that we can begin more extensive work once he recovers. Found near his body was a bloody scalpel. He is now located in intensive care at the Bronson Ward of the very same hospital as the location of his suicide attempt.

I awoke underneath the bright lights of the operating table. The last few hours have been a haze. All I can remember is the unhappiness and the ray of hope...the blood-drenched scalpel lying within reach before I slipped into the never-ending blackness.

I have had enough with these crackpot do-gooders who call themselves doctors. I have seen still-life paintings with more emotion. Although I can feel the pressure of the narcotics calling me back into resting, the euphoria surrounding the recent events has not yet been removed completely from my body. However, I feel lightened.

I don't think I need any doctors. I feel free, alive, like I haven't since my younger days. But somehow, I can still feel the darkness, buried beneath the layers and layers of hope and happiness. Waiting to be awakened....waiting...and so, the true part of me lies dormant, waiting.

Sorry I haven't got a pictorial update. It should come around Monday. We have to continue the story of Artemis's childhood. Comments are welcome...

Nah. Like I said before, the doctors don't really care about doctor-patient confidentiality or anything like that. They just want to get tons of publicity and have Benjamins line their pockets.(I would have used the Canadian $100 bill, but I don't know who is on it.)

Well guys, I got it in on time. This is part 2 of Artemis's childhood, even though we've had some interludes into his adult life. So, without further ado, here is the next update!

After 15 years of residence in Utopia, we moved to the sleepy town of MacArthur Inlet. macarthurinletjun2519111024442.jpg

Only 90 minutes away from where we used to live, the feel was totally different. The people were nicer, the news was cheerier, the overall town spirit was too jolly for my tastes. It was like everybody had been programmed to be overly nice, like they were happy-robots or something.

My father worked at a local aerospace industry center. macarthurinletjun1519111024439.jpg

Most of the industry in the town was high-tech, and my father's workplace was no exception. These guys made Microsoft look like Algoma Steel. My father couldn't even talk to me about his work because the government had made the information classified. Finally, my dad was getting the right idea-it was all about the money.

However, you wouldn't know it by our house. macarthurinletjun4191110244296.jpg

Pink, 2 story-it was basically the template for every other middle-class house in MacArthur Inlet. Still, my parents loved it, and I was forced to accept our Pink Paradise.

My mother went from housewife to high-school teacher. macarthurinletjun1019111024433.jpg She taught English and History, and many of my friends who were in her classes had many complaints about her teaching. I think she was the first teacher at Wilfrid Laurier High to be described as too nice.

So, that was the basic summary of my life in MacArthur Inlet. The town was almost too perfect...

It loomed in the darkness. He fought the urge to give in, to let the black take over. I must keep...in control... He was struggling. But with a large amount of willpower, he resisted the darkness. This would not be the last time a power struggle occurred...

Did you guys like it? No idea when the next update should come, maybe around Friday? I'm on the student council and our Winter Carnival is in 2 days so I'm really busy.

Amazing that with such a handful of pics, you've gotten so much interest, with a compelling storyline and all. I've long since left my creative writing days behind, but you're certainly keeping us intrigued 44.gif

updates come, like oroen said in a different CJ, after school things.  Good update.

-on a side note, should benjamins become a universal way of saying making money?  or is that pushing American culture too much?

juantrev:In answer to that question I would say no...Ben wasn't even an American president and hes like one of the most famous historical figures this side of the Atlantic. He was born in the Carabean and came to America to be a banker.I'm pretty sure most people even know hes on the $100.So if your pulling in benjamins, your pulling in money...

Not bad...A very interesting nice town...Small and polite and then one evil soul emerges and you got a good horror C.J. going...

    I can't wait for whats next!44.gif44.gif44.gif

Thanks for all the comments guys. Artemis is moving just one more time before we get into his life actually moving forward..and by the way, some of you were right, Artemis will pay visits to MacArthur Inlet later on, although not to kill any happy robots or anything. Thanks for always commenting, there should be an update by Thursday. I know I promised yesterday, but I found a giant plot hole and had to rewrite a large part of the story. See you guys later.

Thanks for all the comments guys. Sorry to keep you all waiting so long for updates, I was really busy re-writing the story, etc. So, here's the next update...

After 3 years in MacArthur Inlet, a tragedy occurred. My parents died in a car accident at the ages of 48. (They were the same age.) The house was sold, and all the money they had saved up for my education was given to me for use at my discretion. I ended up with $300,000. I moved to the bustling town of Glenmore, mainly because it was very close to the University of North Vancouver, where I was earning a double major in architecture and marine bio-engineering. With the $300,000 left behind by my parents, I bought a penthouse that costed me $255,000 of the inheritance. It was located in an old-school apartment building, mostly used by old farts and the rich preppie university student. (being myself) glenmoreoct65011105738633co.jpg

While I attended university, I worked at a real estate office, which happened to be the tallest building in the city. glenmoreoct105011105738840qb.jpg

Well, I graduated from university at the age of 21. I lived in Glenmore for 3 more years while trying to find jobs that would hold out for more than a month. I even worked as a supply teacher at a local elementary school, even though I had no previous experience in the educational field. glenmoreoct165011105739278nr.jpg

If I was able to, I probably would have spent my whole life in Glenmore. glenmoreoct195011105739610zw.jpg

The city was beautiful. Everybody was in perfect health (the life expectancy was 97), the children reared there would all graduate with post-secondary degrees, and there were quite a few young lasses who fancied me. However, I soon got a job related to architecture in a way... it was the last time I would spend in the Vancouver area as a resident, rather than a visitor.

Well, that's it for now. It's March Break where I live right now, so I should be able to get an update out soon. Please comment even if you hate this CJ, comments are what keep us going.

    Thanks,

    RHF

Wow Radio that was an amazing Update. for some reason the black color around the whole city in the background makes it more depressing lol. And the smoke or Clouds in the air.
Definitely can't wait for the next update. Your lucky. My springbreak is the week after next. I live in Florida.

Wow, I'm gonna have to agree with TheGuardianAngel... that black background and the clouds give it an.... almost claustrophobic feel. It really fits in with the storyline 1.gif. Keep it up.

TheGuardianAngel, MallowTheCloud: Claustrophobic is one thing I've never heard a city described as. Dense, maybe. But claustrophobic-never. By the way Mallow, Nehalem is going to be so much better than this CJ, I can't wait to see more.

x2230062, crazyarchitect, SC4 Meister: Thanks for the compliments comcerning the storyline. I'll just let everybody know how much I love comments, even ones that criticize me. Just tell me what I can do to improve. The storyline is something I work hard on, nice to see that you guys notice.

Everybody: Update should be ready tomorrow. After that, Artemis is going to leave his home-town region for good...And for those of you that are thinking metropolis, I have one word for YOU: Moo.

    Have a nice day,

    RHF
