I was wondering if someone could make power plants and utilities modular, like puzzle pieces, so that when you need more power and you have minimal space, instead of building a new power plant and bulldozing a neighbourhood, you could add sections (a new lot beside a exisiting core lot)and also some other decorative lots that make the power plant look better!Eg. A nuclear power plant, you can add new lots representing reactors, and decorative lots representing cooling towers and others!1.gif

Hello fellow Batters. As the new Sim Mars Bat Team leader I would like to extend an invitation to anyone with batting skills to come join or just donate some time to make a few bats.

We need to finish up the utilitarian style building set.

Utilitarian

This style is defined by its simple and minimalistic building approach. The buildings should be angular with few to no curves, especially on the lower wealth buildings. They should have a stocky feel to them and they should look like they are built to last. The window openings should be small, especially on lower wealth buildings.

-Low wealth building will be made up of primarily metal and concrete. The buildings will have very few window openings and the openings will be small. They should have external utilities such as pipes, tanks, and antennas.

-Med wealth will be similar except Martian brick will start being used. The windows will be slightly larger and the utilities will be less noticeable.

-High wealth buildings will more decorative elements such as arches, decorative glass, etc. Most of the utilities are concealed.

And also please visit the https://www.simtropolis.com/idealbb/view.asp?topicID=48134 Final Building Styles Thread on ST and have a look at the sketches as well as the screenshots at the bottom of page 1.

This is an open invitation to any and all batters who either wish to join the team or offer thier time to help us compleate this set.

Many thanks
Lynks

Sim Mars Bat Team Leader

How about some UK stores?

Hamleys
WHSmith
Waterstones
Virgin Megastore
(sorry if they've already being done)

And a realistic hospital. Lots of UK hospitals were not built all at one, they were built in different bits and cobbled together. Both Royal Surrey County Hospital, Guildford, Surrey, UK and Great Ormond Street Hospital, London, UK would look good in a city or CJ.

And Finally, I would really like a smallish 60's comprehensive school that has had lots of bits cobbled on. It just makes buildings, particularly older ones, look better when it doesn't look as if it was all built at once.

Is there an elevated heavy rail station anywhere out there? One that goes with the elevated train lines from the NAM?

Thanks

I'd like to see more in the way of emergency services - Hospitals, Clinics, Police, and Fire.  The selection is still a bit thin.

Hello, I have a few requests, although i understand it might be tough 'cause these buildings are in Lisbon, Portugal and it's hard to get pictures of them, but if anyone would like to give it a shot, here it goes: This is our Oceanarium (as in an aquarium but much larger). It features the biggest oceans in the world and its life both aquatic and earthly (was that well said? you get my meaning). It is located in a new part of Lisbon, the most eastern part that was reahabilitated in 1998 for the international exibition Expo'98 held in Lisbon.

So here it is:
oceanario16rh.jpg
and another one:
oceanario21ac.jpg
and yet another one at night:
oceanario36gh.jpg

And now for something completely different 3.gif
I don't know what you english speaking people call these, cable cars??? The aerial thing you see in the left part of this picture, running on cables
align=baseline>
and yet another picture, here you see several of them:
<ahttp://img413.imageshack.us/img413/9351/teleferico22bt.jpg align=baseline>

Of course this wouldn't be transit enabled or anything, but just for eye candy, wouldn't it be nice?

And now for some residential building, these are the two towers also in the same area as the Oceanarium, in Eastern Lisbon. The one closer in the image is tower S

This is a somewhat odd BAT request... But I would like to see a Mako Reactor, as in Final Fantasy 7, BATted. I'm currently unable to find a suitable picture, unfortunately.

How about a nightclub? It can be modelled on a real life one or made up. As long as it is small (5x7 or less) I don't care.

I would like to have 502 or lower buildings from new york city made by November 11th.Each one will be made by different people starting with the 200 tallest buildings in new york city not featured in the game or the stex(please bring the Herald Hotel from the sc4 website exchange to the Stex) by the end of next week.I want to have the one who makes the most buildings make the region, this time I want modern day N.Y.C. because of some ideas i saw as in 2005 New York.I hope this region is finished by December 1 but please make buildings and start with the tall buildings and building with none like them in the stex or the game.

Would anyone (...anyone?...anyone?...Bueller?...) be interested in doing one of those self-storage type compounds, something similar to this:  http://www.planetselfstorage.com/images/nj3.jpg ? Not the indoor type, but the sprawling outdoor ones w/ rows of garage doored storage units and a gated front entrance and fence running around the perimeter.
