Official BAT Request Thread

First, let me start by saying, yes I am probably the noobiest $%&^!.  Not to SimCity though.  Just to the whole BAT thing.  So my idea is this:  I want to either create a new onramp or mod the existing one (avenue and elevated highway) to where each end of the el-highway connects directly to a ground highway as if in between two hills. Without using the el to ground connection. I managed to do this without mods but it didn't look right because it was too... choppy I guess.  I don't even understand the tutorials in BAT. Can anyone help?

Im new to boards.  Im a long time Sim Gamer but I just started with SC4.  Anyway here is a list of some buildings Id like to see.  I will to start doing these myself in the future but as for now I just wanna play the game.  I dont know if some of these have been done already.  I searched but didnt find them.  Anyway here goes.

Hello everybody

i can't work with that archicture programm. it is very difficult for me because everything is in Englisch. but maybe someone wants to make some things I realy want to have.

I would like to have sets of non-readable highway signs in many styles. like U.S, France, Netherlands, Germany etc. but if they are readable you can't use them everywhere.  I mostly use groundhighways but I also have a few elevated highways.

I want also make American-style suburban neighbourhoods. But the available houses are not allways good for these neighbourhoods. I want houses like this...

 

and higway sign like this (but non-readable)...

 

and for meikseith. would you maybe make this car? the masserati quattroporte.

Im trying to do a pretty realistic version of my homecity, Seattle, WA. Since I attend the UW, i've been working on the university district first. What I would really really love would be for someone to please please make the University of Washington Medical Center.

As you can see, the main building has a few surrounding ones , which could or could not be included. As far as functionality, it would be nice if someone could make it cover a medium sized map, and include a disease research center benefits with it as well.

Dont worry about Husy Stadium or the UW, just the long huge building.It might also be worthy to have the building lot (Maybe a 12X5, the structure is a mile long from end to end) to be able to be built over water, since the shore around it curves near one end. The north side of the building is the main enterance, with pacific street running straight east/west along it. The surgery pavilion is new, replacing the odd triangular thing near the right side of the photo and covers what the floorplan shows as S1 parking, near the right side of that picture too. Here are some ideas for some things I would like to see on the exchange.

Some bank branches, you know, the kind you walk into and cash a check or use the ATM out front.  Not the big tower downtown, but the one on main street in a small town, or on a blvd. in the suburbs.  Some brand suggestions:

     U.S. Bank, Wells Fargo, Washington Mutual, Bank of America, CitiBank

 

There are a ton of grocery stores on the exchange but no California grocers (except two older Safeway buildings).  How about some or all of the following....

            WinCo Foods (Northwestern US-Idaho, Oregon, California, Washington, Nevada)

            Safeway Food & Drug (New style w/ fuel station)

            Von's (Safeway in Southern Calif.)

            Albertsons (this is a huge chain)

            Ralph's (I think, part of Kroger)

            Food4Less (franchised, some owned by Ralph's)

            FoodMaxx (A cleaner/privately owned version of Food4Less)

            Raley's, BelAir, Nob Hill Foods (A Sacramento area company)

            Stater Bros. (Southern Calif.)

Hi all ! I continue to play Sim City 3000, and I want to request a magnificient building from this game. This is an observation tower, I think that it would be a great addition to Sim City 4, with SC jobs, commercial desirability... The tower is called Namsan Tower (237 m high), it is located in Seoul.

Is there any ploppable version of the Messeturm Frankfurt? I've been looking here and I couldn't find it. I have also looked for it in the Simcity official site and they have different growable versions.

You can find Taipei 101 as Taipei Lite in Simtropolis

US Bank Tower is known as the Library Tower in Simtropolis

 

Torre Mayor can be found at insims.de , it's a german site, but you can find some really great buildings that you can't find anywhere else (i.e. Opera Bastille, Burj Al Arab, Bank of America Center,...). When you go there, just look on the side until you reach Downloads look under Sim City 4 and it will say: BAT-Gebaude. Go in there and it will say, in English, Parks & Landmarks, it's the 7th page of that...

 

Sorry, don't think you can find the rest of your requests yet. Word of advice, people place buildings under different names so put in one key word of a buildings title or a city's name (sometimes helps) or just browe all of the BAT buildings. I did, and found some great buildings I didn't think existed in Simtropolis.

I am wondering if anyone would be interesting in/willing to make a (BAT?  Lot?) SC4 rendition of the Mermaid Statue in the Copenhagen Harbour.

 

I have attached six pictures of the statue.  If you Google using these three keywords: Copenhagen mermaid statue, you will find these pictures as well as many more.

 

I certainly hope that someone would be able to make this great status.

That would be great if you could model the Mermaid Statue.  I agree with you concerning its scale.  It would certainly need to be bigger in order to better show up in-game.

I see some of my requests have been done already.  But the main one I would like to see is Bank of America Plaza in Dallas.  Its a pretty normal looking tower built in 1980s.  Nothing but a filler building in daylight.  However at night it is an eyecatcher for sure.

I have noticed the BAT tutorial on the opening page.  I was curious if this tutorial had a downloadable version as opposed to having to switch bac and forth from the site to read and use it.  It would be awesome if the tutorial was included on the STEX CD.  Looking for possibilities and how to use the BAT effectively.  Thanks!  Simtropolis rules!

This may or may not be the right place to put this but...  Could somebody make an air shipping yard?  We have a small airport a few miles away from where I live and they are strickly freight.  I'd like to have something like this in my cities.  It would have to be transit enabled enough for freight trucks to actually deliver to it and it would also be nice if it was rail enabled for train deliveries as well.
