Your suburb pic! Geez man now THAT is SUBURBIA!, just thinking of the lawn mowers noise on a sunday morning is giving me a headache! Great work!

And about what you called cheating, the debate is going since mods came into the game. I just have this to say about it, this is a GAME, you payed good money for it, and as far as I'm concerned you can PLAY with it the way YOU want to play with it. The same way someone would use a box of crayons, who's to say that you should not use such and such color in your drawings. As I said in another thread, there's room for every style and I respect those who use it the regular way, heck! I played it that way for a long time! but everbody is entitled to play HIS way.

Hmm... I haven't seen this in a bit.... That's bad of me... To answer your question, since I riddle my pictures with MS Painted labels as well, I definitely like it!

I like the hub-and-spoke layout of your subway system. Here's why specifically I like your suburbs: they are fairly regular-looking, with the more-or-less uniform 1-by-x layout, but without being boring to look at, because you change things up every so often--major roads now and then, rotating the long side of the block, etc. I'm a fan of the long block as well, although generally I prefer between 2 and 5 tiles wide, and about two to four times as long (roughly speaking...)

All in all, excellent!

@oroen: Thanks for your comment. I tried to make the suburbs as realistic as possible. If you go out in the 'middle' suburbs you not going to find a whole ton of twisted roads. Your  going to find avenues with shops and behind the shops grided streets. You only get to the twisted roads on the far out ones.

Sun Valley Times

Convention Center Addon completed

Downtown- Today constuction crews put the final touches on the new convention center addon. One company already has a planned meeting and show there that wouldn't have come had the new center not been constructed. We feel that this center has really opened the doors to Sun Valley. We are beginning to transform into a major city, says the mayor.

 

Other News

 

White Water Creek Theme park adds a new attraction. People are coming to the park from miles away to race the new go-carts. It's the largest track in all of Alaska.

@ThePeoplesPerson: Thanks! I plant trees around the large buildings to prevent the dumb little 1x1's from growing. I hate how they look next to the nice big skyscrapers.
