Sun Valley Times

Theme park built in West Sun Valley

Many residents flocked to the new White Water Creek Theme park last weekend. The park opened its doors on Saturday with two roller coasters and an assortment of other rides. CEO of the new company and park Bill Franz says, If White Water Creek is popular with Sun Valley we will start constructing a new water park. We also have plans to build a ski resort in the mountains to the North East of us here in Sun Valley. Here are some pictures of the new area.

Hey nice theme park.  I'm thinking I might finally try to incorporate some BAT's into my CJ.  My problem is though that I've done it before, and it royally f@%&ed up some of my cities (i.e. I wasn't able to play a few cities, the game would just cut out when I clicked play).   So that's what's got me scared of doing it.  But seeing all the things you and other's have in their CJ that make it more realistic, I'm getting the urge to download.

@flanig407: I would highly recomend getting some BATS! Without all the great mods and BATS I would never even touch simcity.

Very good idea integrating the nature trails with the theme park,I especially like the Cyclone pic.

I like the setup of the amusement park and the look of the city in the region view. a good sized skyline for a city of its size. that makes it realistic.

Sun Valley Times

Ski Resort comes to Sandpoint, Alaska

-Sandpoint, Alaska; a small town about half an hour north of Sun Valley has just constructed a ski resort in the mountains to the east of their town. The resort, Sun Mountain, has currently has one day lodge and two high speed quads. Plans in the future call for a mountain village, and two more high speed chairs. Head of the mountain, Paul Willis comments that, The large support that we have from our community (Sandpoint) and all around the area is great! We were disapointed because of the lack of snow this year but this next month or so looks very promising!

Sandpoint is an excellent little town. I love the ski resort, I've never seen anybody try to recreate one in a CJ.

Really nice. That ski resort looks awsome, but how'd you get the chairlifts. I downloaded that set and can't find them. Am I missing something?

@supersimman: The ski resort pack doesn't come w/ chairlifts. You have to make the day lodge I think it is as the start of your lift and then drag monorail track to the top of the lift. The monorail part's really tricky though because it always wants to turn into a tunnel or make that buttcrack think and tons of other stuff. Took me like an hour to make the resort cause of the lifts. Hope that explains your question though.

Wow! I just love that ski resort picture. I really like skiing and was hoping someone would make a ski resort!
