yeah but LT can become number one again. Look at Farve and what he has done!

I mean LT will be the same but a wee bit different

I thought about that as well but I didnt really know what his college stats were because that was a little before my time as far as being an avid football fan.

You are right though, and that is part of why I like the Felix Jones pick........lol he still got injured though X[

good arguement shady. I dont think we would be having this discussion yet with tom, as quarterbacks tend to last a little longer than running backs, but as I said before, because of the knee injury, the patriots have to think about this stuff.

Brett Farve and LT are in totally different situations. LT gets pounded 30-40 times a game [tackles, blocks, etc.]. Brett Farve takes maybe 10 hits a game. Quarterbacking requires a good arm, which doesn't really wear out as quickly as your legs and knees, which is what a running back needs. QB skills are more related to technique and thought, such as accuracy and reading, as opposed to the things that make LT great, like cutting, which require incredible phsyical strength and athletism.

Not writing him off, im just saying, its unlikely we see the LT from 2 years ago.

I have to say, Brett Favre amazes me with the performance he has put on this season at such an old age. I think close to half of the starting qbs in this league are over the age of 30, so I realize that qbs do last alot longer and can remain productive well into their 30s.

I think it will be interesting to watch Matt Cassel and Tom Brady over the next few years to evaluate the Patriot's looming off season direction-of-franchise choice.

Alrighhhhh that was a good cowboys game. Near flawless performance that featured dominance in pretty much every aspect of the game 4.gif Shame Demarcus Ware (turkey gobbler award thing winner) and Marion Barber both got hurt. If either one of them misses significant time the Cowboys playoff hopes will take a serious hit.

Ill be rooting for Atlanta and Washington to lose this Sunday so the Cowboys can separate from the pack in the wildcard race.

Happy Thanksgivings everyone!

There are, but when you hear them, they sound bad because you're hearing what they actually sound like.  Nowadays, music is digitally altered so you don't hear the imperfections in someone's voice, so when you hear what they actually sound like, they often sound nothing like their recordings.

So here are the Houston Texans, making their first appearance on Monday Night Football.  And what do the announcers say about them?   That their new uniforms make them look like ketchup bottles.

I briefly considered rooting for them, out of sympathy, for that remark.   and then I realized . . . the uniforms DO make them look like ketchup bottles.

It's not the first time I've wondered who is designing the uniforms these days.   They seem to be getting worse.

Well, they are wearing ketchup colored jerseys with ketchup colored pants and white shoes and socks.   Which does kinda look like an upside down ketchup bottle.

I'll admit I've never been a fan of NFL uniforms where the jersey and pants were the same color.

Those are ugly uniforms. Looks like a high school team.

I was thinking of becomeing  Texans fan if only for the fact  I would not have to whiped 3 times a year with a throwback  uniform.

They need to  cut back on that, one weekend each season when the byes are done, every team wears an old uni.

I dont mind seeing an old uniform but at least pick one that looks good ( Im pointing at you  J-E-T-S, jets jets jets )

sorry cowboys fans but the super chargers couldn't pull off a win against Atlanta which is keeping you out of the playoffs

I am praying for an 8-8 Bolts season.......

Sim Shady succinctly says some Steelers suckers shall see some surreptiously stout Cowboys defense dominate their Steelers team. Oh yeaaa....that would be 12 words in a row for my alliteration 3.gif

It is mind boggling to me that the Atlanta Falcons are actually 8-4...surely they will fade over the final month of the season?

Meanwhile, I think it is time to start scouting for your next coach GreekMan, sorry. If I were the Chargers I would try and steal Steve Spagnola of the Giants or Josh Mcdaniels of the Patriots.

no our GM said that Turner will be back for the next season that is if they aren't 4-12.....

If that happends then our President(Spanos) might fire the GM(AJ Smith) and Turner and then well.... Super Bowl anyone?

I have to say, despite the Charger's inability to win at the present, they are still set up well to be competitive in the future with young stars like Cromartie, Rivers, and the left tackle (forgot his name sorry)

Patriots in pretty good condition. They need to beat 3 of these teams: Seattle, Arizona, Buffalo, and Oakland, and baltimore needs to lose to at least 1, probably more like 2 of there last 4 games, they have 4 tough opponents, pittsburg, washington, Dallas in Dallas, and well, I guess jacksonville aint that tough.

IMO cassel should play great over on the west coast in oakland and seattle, I do worry about playing the cardinals and bills back up north, cassel struggled in the "crap" [universal term for all forms of wintery northern weather].
