Yes. Give it time, I'm busy.
My computer got... screwed up. So everything is gone.

I'm going to be away for a few days while I get it back.. If you need to reach me in some sort of weird emergency where you absolutely have to contact me, email me. Otherwise, leave me alone. I wont be in to check PMs for a while.

All of my bookmarks are gone, my pictures are gone, simcity is gone, music is gone, msn chat logs are gone, everything I've written and saved to the computer is gone, bat's are gone. It's all gone.15.gif

I need a hug8.gif

Oh, and my speakers don't work. No idea why, they just arent working. I'm listening to the living room stereo right now.

And starting the page is the only thing I've done right in the past 24 hours.15.gif

Ouch.
You need a hug? Well, I suppose that would be kind of a test of nonhomophobicism... Well I can't afford the plane ticket to Canada so you'd have to come here.
Interesting... Something like that happened on one of my dad's test servers today. The OS is corrupted. Ah well.

Arabic Zukes? Not that the settlers know of, same with other languages. There possibly is some Arabic, and other languages in the republic of Myon, but they aren't widespread.

I lost all my cities last summer. I was starting the game and it froze, then when I restarted and started the game again all my cities were gone. It had erased all the plugins and replaced the saved game files with the blank originals.

I had a spectacular Windows failure two summers ago, and bought 2000 Professional to replace 98SE after that. Luckilly, I had a lot of stuff backed up. I don't have much backed up now, perhaps I should make a few CDs.

thanks for the hugs and stuff! *feels beddur*

Thankfully, I backed up the two things that were most important. BlockCAD files, and the pictures I took (except for those ones from December, I have to go to that thread and re-save them) I did lose my 1000+ entry, 100,000+ word journal I've had for the past 14 months, so I'm upset about that.. Not really too important though. Lots of pictures I got from the internet and stuff, they're gone, and notes. I had a database of over 200 buildings from Thunder Bay, that's gone. At least it's not in the hands of bad pplz tho.6.gif

I figured out what's wrong with the sound - we don't have a sound card44.gif however they were working before didn't install itself when the whole thing was re-doneup, and if we had a CD or some sort of URL to redownload it, it's gone. At some time in the foreseeable future (next 13,000 days!) I'm going to buy a soundcard so they'll work again. Thankfully, the speakers have a jack similar to a headphone jack, so I borrowed a personal CD player from my brother and hooked it up to them so I can listen to music. I can also burn CDs, so I made a couple.

I'm going to resume BATting if I can reinstall BAT, if not then I'm going to give up.

About that snowman having sex thing, Christian puritains chopped off the body of the female snowman and replaced with a cross, and a sign saying sinners burn in hell1.gif It was removed before I could get my camera though. Pretty funny start to the day though, made the fact that I probably failed my english exam a bit more bearable.

    example:

B 1: If you could re-read either Of Mice and Men or MacBeth, which would you choose and why?

Answer: I would choose Of Mice and Men, because having not read MacBeth I can't actually re-read it, can I?

    /blah

Oh, forgot, I'm prolly giving up on simCity. after having to re-download EVERYTHING from the STEX AGAIN (I think that was the fourth time?) and considering how long it takes, and how screwed up my Simcity was, I don't think I can handle playing it just yet. We'll see in a couple months. I'm also going to make backups more often.

@Rymac91: Hi, Matt. Chunky cream of tomato with a grilled sandwich made from gruyere and emmental is served with a chilled glass of fresh llama milk. The fourth generation of the autosystem was acquried after I read Dan Simmons' Ilium. I like the ideas of Quantum Transposition, so we incorporated it a couple of months ago.

Sigh...my mom is making me go over Capitalazation again....she doesn't like how I type things online(go figure she a former English Teacher). 22.gif

She really hates how I send to ignore the comma alot and instead I use 3 dots...She also hates the fact that I capitailize A nouns and b,c,f and j verbs. She doesn't mind me saying lol, bbl, brb and stuff since she knows what they mean...then I throw some odd somes like TS2 and SC4 and B.A.T. or STEX....those confuse her3.gif.Rymac dips the slice of grilled cheese into the soup and eats it.Eating with braces now at least doesn't hurt anymore but it feels strange...like having a set of teeth in front of my teeth...and with the bite bars...like having teeth behind my top front teeth...personally I didn't mind the bite bars until I discoverd that there was a big enough gap with my molars that I could stick my tounge in between the teeth while biting down :S....at least my mouth is used to eating again...though I miss gum and taffy 8.gif.Rymac91 then finishes off the grilled cheese and begins drinking the soup pausing every few seconds to swallow and talk.I bet you haven't heard...but I've started up the multiplayer Aspect of Yolton Galaxy(you say it like Yol Ton...not Yolt in or Yol tin). It's starting up rather smoothly..everything is working like a charm...I'm still debating the planitary transit connections...one wants rail jumpgates while I want Accelerated Space Hypergates for space ships.I may do I hybrid system since I like the rail gate Idea for certain things...like moons and very long distance planets...but for shorter ones I want space gates...that and the fact space Accelerated Space Hypergates sounds cool(except it spells A.S.H.).Finsihes off the soup and pulls out his universial money wallet and converts the money to Canadian dollars.Really love the wallet money converter...size of a palm piolet but when you select the currentcey and amout...it goes to a exchange office for a money request and sends the correct money via teliporter...acts like a ATM...it has a encripted system so it wont be detected easily..and you can send money through it and into a bank account including coins...will be a concept in my Cj 3.gif.

I got my dTAP and MenC shots earlier. I can feel my right arm (where I got the dTAP) start to go numb a bit, it's a weird feeling. Last time I got the dTAP in my left arm, it was paralised for 5 days, I couldnt go to school. Now my right arm is going to be paralised, so I wont be able to... ...... use a mouse? ... iono.

I didnt actually have to get the MenC shot yet (I have another 6 months before they send me a very stern letter) but I got it anyway, might as well get it out of the way. Aparently kids don't do that. Wonder why... Oooo, my arm is starting to feel warm!! 44.gif

@Rymac91: Oops. Sorry, Ryan, senior moment. I guess I was thinking of another member who has a somewhat similar screen name. Eating with braces? Probably should go brush off the cheese and toast crumbs. We don't want to be responsible for any dental caries that may result from eating this sticky stuff.

I am going to be busy for a while. It is time for my monthly backup. I use a DVD-RW, and it holds anything I need backed up. Later 'gators.

About the intraplanetary travel: How 'bout Trade Lanes? It's a term used in Freelancer. Kinda like a rail jumpgate. Works like this: Several circular rings that are able to move in order to keep in sync with the orbits of the planets are deployed along one line. These rings use an advanced technology to move spacecraft along at incredible speed. Two lanes will be built, parallel to each other, carrying space traffic in opposite directions. There you have it. If you want some more ideas, PM me or E-mail me.

@defcon pilot: DVD-RW's have the attribute that they can be updated. I use a system where I only update stuff on the backup that has been changed or originated. I added my downloads folder to the backup this time, and now my disk is nearly full. DVD-R's are WORMs (Write Once Read Many times). An RW acts like a small, removable hard disk. A 4GB floppy, if you like.

@Leech10: As the zuke nibbles on the cracker, it starts to turn green and grows feathers. Next it develops full feathers in place of its tail, its two front paws morph into wings and the back feet turn in to parrot's feet. Now you've done it! A 5 tonne parrot.

    *yawn---stretch*23.gif

My school has just turned into a prison. On Monday, a loaded gun was found hidden in a students sock, and it was a stolen gun sold to him by another student. Considering what could have happened, I can understand increased security measures, but the new procedures are rather impeding.

*Student* Can I get a pass to the library?
*Teacher* I'll call security to let you through the hall. You have to make in three minutes, so you'd better hurry up.
*Student* So how does this system work when we switch classes?
*Teacher* That's why we have armed officers patrolling the building now.

Of course, this is after a fantastic year where a kid threw gas all over the second-floor bathroom and set it on fire (severely burning himself as a result), and the number of fights involving police interevention has tripled in one year. And our new scheduling system was to make the school safer. Oh, and in case anyone's wondering, the high school has kids from six towns, and it has 2400 students and 250 faculty as a result.

I would like a good tomato soup please, and extra creamy. I need something soothing after a day of Orwellian education.

Okay, question: We all live in Americanised nations (or relatively Americanised cultures), so why does that only seem to happen in America?47.gif

If that happened in Canada, it would be the biggest thing on the news for weeks, and there would be national outrage.

BTW- my school has ~700 kids, and ~95 staff, the only security is cameras, and most of them aren't even cameras, just empty bubbles to deter us. The worst crime is maybe the occasional fight at the store across the street. Thunder Bay has the third highest crime rate in Canada, and the highest crime rate in Ontario. It is also the highest I believe in the Lake Superior cities.

Anyway, I made a post earlier but didn't have the time to fix it after a timeout error.

@defcon: I've considered standup. My fear of platforms raised above crowds of people and lit up for all to see, with me being the object of their attention is not less than intimidating. Is there a $%&^! down option?3.gif

beddur is how you say better when you a) habe uh stuvvy dose or b) are trying to be cute.

DTaP (dTAP is a typo on my card. Sorry. Blame the nursing student that filled it in.44.gif) is Diphtheria, Tetanus and Pertussis. MenC (they called it mence vacc.. I guess thats what they do to be hip9.gif) is menengitis C (not to be confused with meningitis A or B) is an inflamation of the brain.

    My discussion with the nurse:9.gif

I have nothing else to say. Well, I did, but I forgot what it was, so it probably wasnt that important.

Voar Tok and I are talking about a new programming language he got for doing graphics for the web.
    quote>

Blitz Basic isn't actually a programming language from web graphics.  It's like a regular programming language like BASIC, VB, or the C language.  The nice thing is that it isn't anywhere near as difficult to learn because it can't do even half of the stuff that the other languages can.  (Example: If you are making a game using Blitz Basic, all of the graphics have to be in 2D because it doesn't support 3D).

Although it can't do all of the fancy stuff that other languages can, it can do all of the rudimentary stuff.  A proficient user of Blitz Basic could remake Pong or Space Invaders really easily.  In fact, if you make all of the programs that the guy tells you to, you end up making a Space Invaders clone at the end of the book.

Walks over to table and pulls out laptop to start working on his game again.  Sits down and thinks for a second.  A large root beer float appears and hovers over to the table.  Voar resumes work on the program.9.gif

@ brancra: That's an impressive teacher/student ratio, better than 1/10. I am sorry your school has turned into an armed camp. What kind of kids bring guns to school? How much bullying is done there? Creamy tomato soup with a dollop of 35% cream floating on it is served with flat bread and chutney.

@vid: Well, though I can say some pretty bad things about America, I'd say that that is a fairly hard topic for me. I attribute it to our constant wanting to portray ourselves as tough. Can't really think of much else, so you can figure it out from there.
I imagine that if the kinds of crimes that took place in the U.S. were to take place in any other Americanized (or Americanised, I suppose I ought to start using that form of the -ised/-ized more since this is an international board) country, then there would be national outrage. However, here, we prefer to ignore it and just take it as a fact of life, as though it will happen no matter what you do. Well, crimes do take place no matter what you do, but you can restrain the magnitude and how often they take place. If you let the situation alone, it will simply get worse.
I must sound pretty strange to you guys when I talk. (Or do the equivalent of talking on a forum.)
MenC... You know, at first I thought that had something to do with male anatomy (my first guess was that it was something for prostate health. 18.gif).
DTaP... Never heard of that before, but I have heard of tetanus. THe OThEr TWo DIsEAsEs... I AM COmPLeTLy UNfAMiLIaR WItH THoSE (notice my capitalization pattern? 9.gif Okay, I'll admit it looks like somthing some emo would put on their MySpace, but hey, who cares?).
If you forgot what you were going to say, that doesn't mean it wasn't important. It simply means that your train of thought diverted away early, while that track was still under construction, and went on to a different one before the other was finished. Thus, construction on the other track for your train was cancelled, and you forgot what it was you were about to think about before you deviated from your path.
    Damn I'm weird.
    Well, good day. 1.gif

OH! I fixed my soundcard, on thursday. Im listening to.. Billy Talent?41.gif

I just highlighted everything in the limewire file. Lots of weird things. Mostly music I like though, no more christmas caroles and crap.

Also, one of my cousins dads (my mom's neice's ex boyfriend, father of her youngest daughter and *I think* most recent son, not sure on that though) went on a rampage through the south end chasing after my uncle with a gun, it cause about a dozen schools to be locked down. He was arrested.

@defcon pilot: Diphtheria, Tetanus, Pertussis (Whooping Cough). Bad childhood diseases that we still immunize against. There was a movie awhile back called All Mine to Give about the effects of diphtheria. A real tear jerker, but factual in its way. Diphtheria and Whooping Cough are transmitted easily from human to human, and can result in an epidemic. Thank God for antibiotics! When I was a kid, I lost several school chums and friends to either. Tetanus is also called lockjaw. A bacterial infection that, uncontrolled, leads to death by paralysis, convulsions and exhaustion. The toxin takes weeks to get out of the system, and with out anti-biotics, it is a death sentence. Contracted from a puncture wound, usually. Rusty nails, barbed-wire fences, etc.

@vidioman: Ah, life in Thunder Bay. We just had a guy sentenced to life with no parole for 18 years for murder 2. Beat another guy to death with a baseball bat outside a local bar.

Man, it has been a while.  That's what happens when you get busy and don't have much free time.  I'll admit that most of my free time was spent playing Jedi Academy (I beat it today--Yay!), but I still have too much to do right now.  Stinks really.

@ N_O_Body:  18 years is kind of light in Texas.  He probably would have gotten 25-50 down here.  But that's not suprising given the nature of Texas's murder laws.
