Sassafras_albidum_leaf01.jpg

Speaking of sassafras, I want all of you to look at this sassafras leaf, and describe what shape you think the leaf has. This is sort of like an ink blot test.

For example, the first time I saw these leaves, I thought of people waving their hands in the air.

simmax: That would fall under "contaminated".

Brancra: I say it is a chicken foot.

simmax to sloppet: I see mushrooms, corn, carrots, peas, some sort of orange fruit, something that looks like banana slices, some spices, parsley, and some sort of fried meat product, I think.

Leech Labs: Where weird stuff is made. Your results may vary.

brancra: A rooster's foot. Or a fork.

N_O_Body: Thank goodness only Bugs and Technical Issues. Whew. I was scared for a seccond, I said  deleted a part of the site, and I just realized I might get banned for that. (Even though Nuke it all does remove it in your browsers perspective.)

Someone said they were uploading a virus into the simtropolis chat server, and got banned from chat. So I thought that if i mentioned deleteing part of the webpage, i might get in trouble, but I guess I was wrong.

    EDIT:

One of the best ways to crash land around here is to threaten or commit a felony.  Viruses are a felony for any web site.  Do be careful what you say in chat, it is all recorded.

    Hello, N_O_Body.

I didn't know that root beer could be an alcoholic drink.  That's really quite interesting.  Are there any brand-names you can think of?

You can make a nice sassafrass tea by boiling the roots (I've even used twigs from the tree) but I don't make this any more since I found out that there is a natural carinogen in the plant.  Certainly was a good tea, though...

    Regards,

    Vandy

@vandy; Article about root beer.  Never very strong, but you can get a slight buzz.  Considering the ingredients, I would be more likely to think it was anti-carcinogenic because most of the spices and roots are anti-oxidants.

    Announcement:

My son is visiting for Easter.  I won't be around much until at least Sunday.

'vidioman' was banned by SkiGeek for acting like a 5 year old. I'm using my vid profile that I made on December 14th (anniversary of our house flooding in 2004) because I wanted to change over to it because I'm not using 'vidioman' anymore (I've actually swtiched from 'vid' to 'the savage bastard') but IdealBB couldn't handle changing usernames. I won the trixie and had all those posts, so I didn't bother switching over, but now that vidioman was banned I dont have  a choice.. Though I get banned pages occasionally (it used to be a popup, now its a whole page, and doesnt explain anything) but I can still post, so I have no idea if Im banned and this is a glitch or whats going on.

More for the gossip columns.. umm.. My computer got screwed up again Thursday morning. I got up around 7am, threw up for a half hour, then was going to go on the computer to check the weather as I usually do before going to school, and it said some windows config thing was corrupted. I saved the old disk structure so I didn't lose my files this time, and saved my firefox profile stuff, but some programs aren't working right and I have a tone of files that are where they shouldn't be. Took me hours to figure out how to regain access to my personal files and then a few more hours to fix a problem with the video card, and since my brother was here, it took a while, which is why I've been away for a while. I also haven't been feeling very good lately, prolly stress. I can't stop farting but the puking stopped. 4.gif That's not appropriate is it?

Hmm.. as for who I am.. I'm a left handed bisexual from Thunder Bay that hates pickles so much, if I told you how much, your head would explode. I also hate eggs. A fie on them. It is does.

    Vidioman.

Also, if an admin can email me to let me know whats going on here, I need to know whether or not I should delete Simtropolis from my bookmarks toolbar or not. Wikipedia would like to be spelled again and removing ST Forum will give it the space it desires. 4.gif

on march 3rd 1981 a protest was held at Philadelphia's Rittenhouse Square. It was to protest the Cola Wars, wich had taken so many lives. The demenstration happened when it was leaked over the ARPANET that Coca Cola planned to midify its flavor.

a second protest was held a s a march down Philadelphias Passyunk Avenue on December 8th 1985. it was in response to coca colas cancelling of original coke, and giving out "new coke". at the tme Ronald Reagan was supporting the Oppressive Coca Cola regime, and trying to kill the Peaceful Pepsi Revolutionaries. This protest  was also organised over the ARPANET, on an Anti-Coke site wich itself was organised in May of 1977.

A final protest came on March 3rd 1988 on the 7th annaversary of the first protest. it was held in Nazareth,Pennsylvania and a crowd of over 1,676,233. This protest sparked the Pepsi Gurellas to overthrow the evil coca cola and reclaim their country. While this event was also organized over computers, most planning of the event was done over USENET since the than outdated ARPANET was in its deathbed.

ahhh, fake encyclopedia articles are always fun.

Uh... Wasn't the ARPNET the secret predecessor to the Internet scientists at the Pentagon were researching in order to keep in touch with each other during a nuclear war?

I've come back to a discussion of cookies, acoholic root beer, vid being banned and throwing up, a coca-cola regime and FBI secrets.

Seems like my kind of place. 3.gif

I've downloaded like crazy off the STEX today. And re-installed SimCity 4 and the BAT. I need a break.

vid: oh, well, uh, thanks for sharing, at least I'm not the only one who hates pickles with a passion. Just the smell of them makes me violently sick.

Sloppet: Firstly, Id like to point out that your post count goes up faster than the U.S. national debt, and that deserves applause.

Hmmm, I wonder if the yellow frosting means it's lemon flavoured.

HunterIrked: If beebs is in the FBI, then I prance around in a pirate costume at the local Starbucks.

defcon: somehow, the words "secret" and "military" equate to Area 51 in "mine eyes". I hope saying that doesn't start somebody on a conspiracy rant.
