Hell, a good 20% of them can't find thier own country on a map. And I've seen people here pont to the middle of Nunavut and ask if it's where Thunder Bay is. How can people not know things like that? It's pathetic.

Well, since Thunderbay is at the left end of Ontario, we can certainly find it.  As for Poland, we know where it is, and didn't have any problem finding it in 1944 but the Russians got there first.  Too bad about that.

One of the most interesting things about Poland recently was the millenium of Warsaw.  A great country with a great people.

Here's an open question...what languages share the same basic linguistics as Polish? In effect, I'm asking a root language, and the other branch languages (ex. Latin branches to Italian, French, Spanish, Romanian and Portuguese).

my god, how lucky you are. And as long as the people know WHO they are prior to where they are, theyre doing alright. You know some people in my top-set science class think that Wales and Scotland are counties, the best of the best are really, really not the best of the best. I think its because the school had to separate the slightly intelligent chavs (if there is such a thing) from the non intelligent chavs...

I've wondered that about American college freshmen.  How can you not know where your country is on the world map?

@NOBody:  I recently downloaded the GIMP.  I set the tile cache at 128 MB and I have 512 of RAM.  Seeing as I probably wouldn't use more than two programs while working with the GIMP (maybe 3 if I have IE running), do you think that this is enough?  I couldn't find any concrete answers in the documentation.

Then I had to bring my brother home, and though I'd be able to get my bus, but no, they stop service at 10pm. I had to walk home from downtown. I did alot of walking today.

@rymac91:Glad to see you finally found time to do your sig.  However, isn't it a little large?  That many lines is often larger than your posts.  Maybe you could condense it a little.

@HunterIrked:  Well, the automatic service system will get you anything to eat or drink, so just think of what you want.  It is both telepathic and telekinetic.  The head moose recommends you change your avatar to be more correct.  How about "Toronto Maple Loafs".  I am beginning to think the Quinn era should be ended.  He doesn't seem to be able to inspire a team anymore.  Just look at the performance of Team Canada at the Olympics.  Grrrrrr!  As for the moose burger, it is not as good as the marinated moose steak.  We recommend either, cut from prime moose cows.
