Hello everybody. I'm Alex, from Denver, and I should probably have joined this site sooner. I love all Maxis games.

I have a few macs, two of which are recent, and run OS X. Sim City runs pretty well, but I wish I had a more powerful computer to play larger cities through, and with more detail settings.

At any rate, I tried your chat room, and that really just... reaffirmed my dislike of chat rooms. But I'm a big forum user, however, and I've been on the AmbrosiaSW since '99. I think this forum will be quite a help in trying to build a better city.

I'll just peruse these forums now, and thanks for building such a cool resource and community!

PS, this forum software is rather... unique. I've never seen it before. I'm assuming it's proprietary. It doesn't really work that well in mac Firefox 1.5.

Welcome CrytoQuick. A new member, and a fellow mac user to boot! I've found that FireFox is the best browser to use for ST, at least it's better than Safari or Explorer.

I have the same feelings about chat as you, and that is one area that FF is really bad, so see you in the forums.

Hey everybody, my name is Adam. I am 14 and live in Cecilia, Louisiana. I found Simtropolis on accident while I was looking around at the Sim City 4 site and I found Simtropolis. I have been lurking around ever since. I used to come here just for the STEX, but I started looking around the forums and I realised how awesome this site really was. After reading many CJ's and different city building concepts, my cities have become competely different than they used to be. I owe it to Simtropolis for making Sim City 4 the only computer game I have that I still play. Anyway, I am thinking of starting a CJ about my home town and the towns around it and I thought that I should get used to posting, so what a better place for a first than this?

Hello, This is my first post but I have been coming to Simtropolis forever it seems like. I've always used the STEX and read the City Journals and recently I even researched a little on BATing and tried it for myself although I never quite got it down. I decided that now was a good time to introduce myself and I would like to learn how to BAT, make maps maybe, and someday start a CJ.

My friends are playing Sim City 4, they said I have to get this game, so yesterday I bought one copy of the Sim City 4 Deluxe Edition, and I typed "SimCity4" in Google, pushed the "I"m feeling lucky" button, and voila, SimTropolis appeared! I hope I will have a great time here, this looks like a nice online community.

Sorry for being so rude, I forgot to introduce myself.

Anyways, I'm 25, recently got married in Vegas, currently working as a Programmer Analyst in a direct mail firm near Philly. I'm one of those many people who have there hands in on delivering all the junk mail, credit card offers, etc you receive in your mail box at home!

I enjoy video games way too much. I'm pretty much addicted to them.

Well I'm glad I came upon Simtropolis and look forward to meeting many of you across our times here.
