Keep rolling with those mosiacs.  It's just another way that you've pushed this CJ over the top.

I work for the US Army. I go places, visit mean people, and kill them.

Winston Churchill is generall credited for saying something to the effect of: "People sleep soundly in their beds because rough men stand ready to do violence on their behalf". That about sums up my life, besides the "rough men" part.

Agreed. The mosaic looks amazing, I wonder if we'll get any of Sa Pusa when you're finished there...

Is it just me, or is the latest Mosaic shot messed up? The middle three images are showing up as some skyscraper. 42.gif

    This city looks really cool!

I'd love to live there. But there still is an issue with that mosaic. People: onsite hosting sucks. Use ImageShack or the like.

    Hello, Jeroni.

Unfortunately, I didn't get a chance to look at your latest panoramic regional view until after the skyscrapers were inserted.  Hopefully, that can be fixed so that we can all enjoy that view.

Another wonderful update to your CJ.  Your reginon is developing very nicely.

47.1 and 47.2  Jeroni, I really like the way you've inserted your ruins.  I assume that you used parts and peices of some castle set to make these?  It looks very good.  Did you use Maxis' Castle Ramparts or Longfellow Castle or something else.  Very nicely done.

I certainly want you to know that when I finally am ready to post my CJ, I am not copying what you are doing.  In this case, I refer to the ruins.  I have done a great deal of planning to include ruins in my CJ (mostly from NDEX) and I do want you to know that my idea for ruins came before you posted yours.  So, please believe me that I'm not copying what you are doing.

I will be honest with you and say that your creativity is certainly inspiring my own and I most certainly will incorporate many of your ideas into my CJ but will strive to ensure that my own ideas build from yours and do not simply copy them.

47.3 Ah, pine trees.  If it was just as simple as click, remove in real life!  Here in North Carolina, there are many pine trees -- many, many pine trees.  Even the tallest only have root systems that go about 5 feet deep (approximately two metres).  Consequently, in very heavy rains, high winds or ice storms, it is not unusually for them to come crashing down to the ground or on people's cars and houses or power lines.

I really do like the way you've encorporated cliffs in the region.  They add quite a bit to the scene and convey a real sense of the ruggedness of the countryside.  Are you using the in-game rock texture or someone elses?

47.5, 47.6 and 47.7  Your farmland looks very inviting.  One can sense the serenity of the area and I'm sure the farmers appreciate the beautiful area they live and work in.  These three views are a very nice way to become acquainted with this part of your region.  Your trees give a very nice touch to the reality of the region as well.  I do believe your winding road is quite nice and the covered bridge is just beautiful.  Would you mind sharing where you got the bridge?

Thanks again, Jeroni, for another beautiful chapter in your evolving CJ.  I am most certainly enjoying it and count it among the blessing I receive every time you publish a new chapter.

    Regards,

    Vandy

In the end you will see, You is you and me is me.

The ruins look great with that type of trail park. I really like the pine trees and the seasonal woods put together.

    hello jero

this is my 1st post on simtropolis. Your CJ is really nice44.gif
got 2 questions (referring to ur updates a while back..). i apologise if they have been asked before

    1. how did u terraform to create a stretch of beach so even and uniform? i tried a couple of beach mods but can't figure out how they work. 42.gif
    2. where did u get the nice huge industrial circular tank ? (not the MObile one)

    thanks

jeroni: your way of gaming is really refreshing, it gives me sooooo much inspiration! I know I've said something like this before, but this cj really belongs to the creme de la creme of Simtrop! Think I'm going to do some sculpting myself soon

    Keep it up!!!

Heh, well first of all, welcome to ST dfy!

Second, but certainly not in any way below that, jeronij:

You're doing an excellent job. I wish I could terraform well - I can't, so that's why I use rendered regions. Fortunately they seem to complement my playing style anyway.

Your road layouts are interesting as well.

All in all, you're doing a brilliant job, do press on!

Hi all! Great update Jeroni, that is one road I would not want to head down after a night at the bars...not that I go to bars or anything. Glad to see that your mosaic problems are fixed!
