Wow, someone's in a good mood. Let's see, things that have made me smile lately include:

Watching my golden retriever puppy chase her tail

Seeing how confident and proud my son was after winning his first wrestling match of the year

Finally getting a banana farm in the city I've been playing

Reading some nice comments on my CJ

Printing out my itinerary for my vacation starting tomorrow

Having lunch out with some coworkers yesterday

Yeah, it's been a good week

Instant mocha in the mornings & iced lattes in the afternoons; 

Making kiddoes I see at work grin & making my own grin when I come home fr work.

 

Agency-wide recognition of the social workers I supervise.

Afternoon sunlight slanting through the forest.

Sunlight sparkling off the water.

White sand beach with hundreds of people enjoying it.

My Irish Red and White Setter and his pal my Cavalier King Charles Spaniel (Andrew and Duffy).

The morning cup of hot chocolate.

The big red ball I put in my small pine tree (Charlie Brown).

Finally having fruit on my black walnut tree (Juglans Niger).

A nice quite farm house near the Hungarian plains and its all mine...

 

surrounded by wonderful friuts and grains from the rich soil....

 

wait...that is what will be giving me smiles in my golden years...lol

 

What makes me happy now you ask?

 

Long walks....

 

Peaceful places uninhabited....

 

Coming to simtropolis and getting to actually be on chat for more then a min.

 

Trees and sunny rain storms....

 

Not getting ripped off in any of my purchases....

 

Sleeping more then 6 hours on any givin day....

 

When things actually go well and no bad luck occurs...(I really treasure that kind of day)

 

A big cup of iced mocca....

 

A ton of tacos from Taco Bell...

 

hmm not much else will bring a smile to my face as I am kinda a sad and uninteresting person in the real world...

 

Tommorrow is atleast Friday and that makes me smile already...

Ooh V8 engines. I fired up my Toronado last time I was home and got to hear the 455 V8 roar through its dual glass packs for the first time in weeks. Other things:

-Sixlets
-finding a good cancelled show on TV (i.e. The Critic)
-when a package arrives from Newegg
-good beef/deer jerky
-good music on the radio
-a really sunny day after a dreary one
-a nice relaxing drive/walk/bike ride

Discovering a good sci-fi or fantasy show that expertly relies on drama, character development, and story telling over special effects and campiness.

 

A couple of guilty pleasures: Being allowed to stay up late enough to watch a SC city make to stage 6-8 and it's 'scrapers or to make it the final one more turn in Civilization without having to pay the consequences of staying up.

 

 

 

Recently having a stomache bug, where I didn't feel like eating for a couple of days, also made me appreciate how much I like food, or more precisely how much I like to like food.  Hmmmm, maybe having a stomache virus wasn't such a bad thing afterall.

I've been involved with the Manchester Shostakovich festival, and having watched the Halle Orchestra do Shostakovich's eleventh symphony, right now communism makes me slightly happy.  Its amazing the power music has!
