A series of poor financial judgements from multiple people over the years has resulted in me making this thread, because I was given money for Christmas and ended up buying a Lego set, cause i have nothing else better to do in my life at the moment *

pretty much anything Lego goes. I was just interested in sharing pix of my sets for whoever's interested in seeing them

Megablocks, Tyco, Duplo (by default due to being another toy made by the Lego company), and related can be posted here. So, it's probably more of a "modular brick mania" thread than Lego, but, let's face it, like 99% of people in the world have Lego, and I'm amazed that there's any other company still around *

And yes this can include things like, news, updates, pix of the packaging changes, even pix of you coloring in the paper bags, etc. Idk bout leaks though, I'll leave that up to the mods/admins to sort out cause idk what's acceptable with things like that

Also, it's preferable that you post stuff you're "directly" interacting with (links to news articles are fine, but maybe not reddit just to avoid excessive spamming); and if you have a news article in a local paper covering Lego, you can post that too!

Otherwise, no real hard and fast rules, save for whatever the admin team puts in *:)

And an example of a non-Lego set

thing took 6 hours to put together *

and god only knows why I had enough to for the potential ability to do it a 2nd time, lol

and yes, some pieces are super small and need tweezers (mostly cause of location near the end)

so, there you go, you get a good example of both official Lego, and some weird off brand. Go nuts with posting others I'm sure everyone following this will absolutely enjoy what they see *:)

Oh boy, I love making stuff out of Lego bricks too. I mostly make microscale MOCs of buildings and vehicles, creating models and dioramas and essentially playing SimCity by combining Lego with Micro Machines. Here are some examples:

    Love it!

... those little cars, those aren't Micro Machines, are they?

    Thanks :D

Many of them are original Micro Machines made by Galoop and Hasbro and others are off-brands, such as Funrise MicroAction and Hot Wheels Planet Micro.

Oh, a thread about Lego! It's been over a decade since I last touched a set, but before SimCity and Minecraft, I used to spend entire weekends of my early childhood holed up in my family's basement/toy room, building away with our little mishmash of bricks! I've always been a little obsessed with buildings, cities, and places, their form, their function, and their setting the stage for life!

    Automated Notice Message

All posts after 1 March, 2026 @ 01:37 GMT were lost in the site crash.

We've added this message thread divider in every topic across all forums for what were then active threads. (We decided active is if the most recent extant post (from the backup) was on or after 1 January, 2026.)

This divider serves as notice that the conversation was interrupted. Answers and further discussion which used to be here have been lost. Keep this in mind when replying. Our hope is to rebuild what is missing.

    The image is missing, @CorinaMarie.

Yep. That's the downside of a site crash and data loss.

There's more details in this topic. Initial efforts will mostly rely on the Original Poster restoring images that are now missing. There's no need to go tagging staff to report them. *;)

    Hey Simizen, Cool name!

I wish I had pictures to show. My daughters and I, spent 100's of US dollars, purchasing all of the Lego's we could store in a spare room. We built a life sized, playhouse castle we could all three climb into.

The girls and I, used to also make open floor plans of houses, stores, gas stations, autos, etc. They had those tiny "Polly Pockets" dolls to play with in our little town.

If you may be too young to know what "Polly Pockets" were

I do remember Polly Pockets. They were definitely a little old for my time, but my mom loved them and bought a bunch of eBay for my sister.

This is turning into a toy nostalgia thread.

Sort of is, kinda. Legos made a bunch of other toys more fun, like Hot Wheels for example, with backyard dirt and pine cones for trees.
