Help with RHW-4 Curves

I have started using RHW and it is a bit of an uphill battle. Currently, I am trying to get nicer curves with RHW-4. But it seems all the pieces from the RHW Curves Button I am trying to use cannot be placed next to each other. So I can only ever make one direction curve. E.g. I can manage to get the RHW-4 Inner Curve. But when I try adding the RHW-4 Outer Curve, it keeps switching to the opposite angle. Only moving it further away, creating a really wide gap, seems to work.

The NAM Documentation stays silent on this and only ever shows a single direction in the examples, never both. I looked as well at @Haljackey's NAM Highway Tutorial on YouTube but did not see anything there that would help.

I am sure am I missing something but what? Perhaps somebody could share an image of an RHW-4 45° curve and maybe point me to the right way of creating it?

Same, I feel the pain too. It seems like you can only do it with a gap wide. But there are other ways. You can make radius curve using the flex method. I think you can do it with RHW-4. Search for "Multi-Radius Curves (MRCs) [FLEX/Draggable]" section.

Lastly, you can use flexfly, especially helpful for making interchanges. You can find the flex pieces in the highway menu.

Thanks, @Jidan! It is good to know it is not just me. I will try out the MRCs. I have used the flexfly and those are much easier to handle by comparison.

So I took another shot at using Multi-Radius Curves and this is what I found:

It is impossible to put two of those curves close enough together so to get a small gap between directions. Trying to stay in the same line means I would have to go up 4 tiles:

The best I could manage is a one-tile gap. So I would have to separate the directions further down before the curve:

In his YouTube video, @Haljackey mentioned an approach with a two-direction curve. It can be found further down the MRC button. He said it was an older way of doing things. And yes, it requires the use of filler pieces (see circles below) and produces some slightly odd looking areas (see arrows). But they are small and it is the narrowest gap I could create.

Is there any better way to curve RHW-4 or is this as good as it gets?
