Today at TV1 City: ResinX, R. Johnson SunWear and Energy Production

Mountain Village, North District.

Residents: The population of Mountain Village had a peek in 2027 with 32 families, but in 2038 it had fallen back to 27 families. With Nvidia’s investments in the 40’s, new residents came and today 34 families live in Mountain Village. There are no vacant homes, left in the area.  

Production: In 2045 Nvidia ElTioBit, started production of ResinX Plant Oil and extraction of Aluminium north east of Mountain Village, to further develop their patented aluminum cooler. Besides that, there was no changes in the area’s production facilities since 2038. Most important in terms of production value is still by far R. Johnson SunWear, producing textiles valued at more than 170.000 coins since 2038. That is going to change in the near future as the company has promised to move the factory out of North District. Besides what was already mentioned, Leone Family’s mine have produced 46% of Bounty’s iron extraction since 1983. In the period Mountain Village also stood for 70% of Bounty’s banana production, 52% of Cocoa, 25% of Sugar, and 20% of Wool production.

Services: Mountain Village haven’t got any new service businesses or institutions, still just North Truck Service and Northern Skies hang glider rental from 2026. Since the public transport system was finished in 2029. Line 3A have transported 723 persons between Institute Square (Mountains Village) and Ministry Square (Saint Mary Metro). Line 3C have transported 277 persons between Mountain Village Road and Fungus Town (Plateau Village).    

Energy Sector: In 2038 Mountain Village delivered 280MW from wind-power, 880MW from Nuclear and 450MW from Solar Panels. Today that has increased to 790MW from wind-power, 992MW from Nuclear and 614MW from Solar Panels. The plan is to keep the two wind power parks, but the Nuclear and Solar energy production will be moved to South District in the near future.

Today at TV1 City: Apartment Vacancy, Wood Industry and The Village Bus.

Plateau Village, North District.

 

Residents: 58 families were living in Plateau Village back in 2038, today that has grown to 60 families. Despite the overheated housing market there is some vacant apartments in the western part of the village.

Production: The important business has been R.J. Caribbean Fashion Design, with a yearly turnover of 23800 coin since 2038. The company was relocated to Bounty City in 2051, a huge tax loss for the district. Otherwise, there have been no changes in production facilities. Due to the unauthorized nature of Stoned Planks and Fungus Town, it is impossible to give exact figures regarding the wood industry in the Plateau Village area. But, according to Olga Ferrara (PhD Eco) from Financial Science Center, the wood industry in the area is expected to amount to approx. 65% of Bounty Islands total production. Other important products are Coal with about 57% of total production, Uranium with 50%, Cocoa 48%, Gold 30% and Leather with about 24% of production.

Services:

The only new service building in Plateau Village since 2038, was North Rescue constructed in 2042. With a helicopter service, it covers the entire north district. (*) North Truck Service got a depot at Subida de la Colina, at the other side of the street, you can visit a doctor at Plateau Clinic and there is Plateau Chicken Fried, at Old Banana Road. Since the new public transport system was finished in 2029. Line 3B have transported 3124 persons between Plateau Village Square and Mónica Roux Monument. Line 3C have transported 277 persons between Fungus Town and Mountain Village Road. Despite the fact that 3C might be more effective with a different route, North District authorities find it important to connect their two villages with a bus.

Non-Food Consumer Good

With 41,3% of the total production value, Non-Food Consumer Goods was clearly the largest production category, over the latest 24 months. The largest single group was Electronic Applications, with 289750 units produced over the latest 24 months, valued at 96.330 coins, alone standing for 12,5% of the total production value. 90,5% was exported, 9,5% was sold to the local consumer market. The 2^nd largest Non-Food Consumer Good was Rum, 450 Tun produced, valued at 55.155 coins. 92,4% was exported, 9,5% distributed to local consumers. Boats, belonging to the sub group of Larger Infrequent Non-Food Consumer Good, was the 3^rd largest Non-Food Consumer item, with 41 pcs produced, valued at 28.640 coins. 98,4% was exported, just one small boat was sold to a local consumer, at 457 coins and 838 pieces. Non-Consumable Industrial Products

R.J. Caribbean Fashion Design used 15,6% of the textiles and 18% of the leather produced in the period.

This category contains industrial products, not directly distributed to end consumers. The group represents 17,7% of total production. The largest single group is Textiles, with 50.160 square yards produced, valued at 33015 coins, that is 4,3% of Bounty’s total production value in the period. 84,4% of textiles were exported, 15,6% distributed to further processing at local factories. Processed Wood is the 2nd largest Non-Consumable Industrial Product, with 521 ton produced, valued at 25.619 coins. 100% of the processed wood was distributed to local factories. Leather was the 3rd largest Non-Consumable Industrial Product, 4.161 square yards produced, valued at 25436 coins. 82% exported and 18,0% sold to local factories. Today at TV1 City: Bounty Bay Rum, Bounty Central Hospital and Mother Mila’s Tomb.

Presidente Jakub District, Bounty City

Residents: Back in 2038, 57 families were living in Presidente Jakub District. The number of houses and apartments haven’t changed since then. With 58 families today that haven’t changed much and somewhat surprisingly there is still vacant apartments in Mónica Roux Residential Area.    

Production: The times where Presidente Jakub District had a major impact on Bounty Islands’ production are long gone, but there are still two old production facilities left. Bounty Bay Rum Distillery, dating back to 1904 and Maria Bird Gold & Jewelry, current building from 1981, but parts of the structure dates back to 1914-1915, when Maria Bird Rum was constructed on the site. Since 2038 the rum distillery has produced quality rum worth 108.185 coins, about 48% of Bounty’s production. The Jewelry produced goods worth 129.054 over the period, being the only industrial size producer, almost 100% of Bounty’s production.

Services: Being the former seat of government Presidente Jakub District still has many important public institutions, most notably the Council of the Districts an important part of the law-making process of Bounty Islands unique democratic system. Also, Bounty Main Police Station and The City Court, Bounty’s supreme court, is located in the area. The district is also home of the American Embassy and an Army Camp. The old Parliament building was torn down in 2048, making room for Bounty Central Hospital in 2049, seat of the national director of healthcare. The district also has Chapel Clinic to provide local healthcare for residents of Fenna Tower and in Monica Roux Residential Area. Two media building are located in the district, Bounty Islands only TV station, TV1 City and radio station Radio North. The Cultural House at Donkey Curve is an important public art studio and provide exhibitions and other cultural events. In 2048 construction of the New City Park began on the empty Parliament ground, resulting in the largest park on the Islands. Other parks and monuments worth a visit are Monica Roux Monument, Christi Square next to the Church, and The Republic Park by the TV station.

Guest at Fenna Chapel Museum, get information about the early village, religious history, and a visit to the historical graveyard. There are Baptist church service at Corpus Christi Church, with Mother Mila’s Tomb from 2049 open for visitors. Natasha Rodríguez bought López Construction Property, located next to the tunnel entry, and in July 2048 opened her Bounty Tivoli. Other private services are Restaurant 豬肉菠蘿 (Zhūròu Bōluó) from 2041 located in what used to be “The Pineapple Chow”. Daily shopping can be done at The Embassy Grocery. In 2046 City Truck North opened at Mountain Road, the former truck depot in Saint Mary’s district by the same name, was renamed to City Truck Chinatown. Since 2029, Roux Monument Metro Station have serviced 2964 travelers, Bus line 3B, from Mónica Roux Monument to Plateau Village Square was used by 3124 commuters.

Harbor District, Bounty City

Residents: In 2024, 51 families were living in Harbor District, but in connection with the construction of what was then Bounty City Hospital in 2034, the government acquired a lot of land in Harbor District and several residential buildings were demolished, to avoid squatting of the many empty apartments. In 2038 just 41 families lived in Harbor District. No new houses or apartments have been built since 2038, and vacancy has actually gone up to a point where just 37 families live in Harbor District. Especially The Sailors Homes, built in 1906 and declared national treasure in 2037, have had many vacant apartments recently, seemingly a complete renovation is needed.

Production: Of course, the export center at Bounty Bay Harbor have played a very important role in Bounty’s export over the period, although it is not exactly a production facility. Since 2038 the turnover of Bounty Bay Harbor has been 1.96 million coins. Besides this semi-public institution the major company in Harbor District is R. Johnson Holding, with both their financial headquarter and R. Johnson WorkWear’s factory, located in the district. The financial division alone made a revenue of 404917 coins over the period, the factory 220000 coins, which is about 56% of Bounty’s textile production. With monopoly both Bounty Cigars and Loyal to Familia Shipyard got 100% market share, the cigar factory made a revenue of 161.994 coin since 1983, the shipyard 127.985 coins. Original Bounty Rum made a revenue of 128417 coins over the period, about 52% of Bounty’s rum production. Leone Bay Cheese Ltd, had a revenue of 82075 coins, as the only major cheese producer almost 100% of Bounty’s cheese production. The last production facility in the district, Bounty Bay Harbor’s fishing pier, had a revenue of 14633 coins over the period, in the early republic, an important nutrition contributor, today with a market share of less than 9%, mainly a curiosity.

Services: The government had acquired a large piece of land in the center of the district and in 2039 Visit Bounty Headquarter was constructed, responsible for developing Bounty Islands Tourist Industry. Other public institutions are, The Department of Political Science, Ruben Ruiz Medical Hospital and Harbor District Police. The area has two privately owned entertainment establishments, Club Babilonia and LtF Diver's Club, both run by Loyal to Familia. In the private transport sector City Truck Harbor does most of the local deliveries. Since the new public transport system was finished in 2029, The Harbor Metro serviced 2661 travelers. Bus line 2C, From Export Department (Connection Passway) to Inland Sea Waterfront was used by 2998 commuters. Back in 2038, line 2C was seen as a less successful bus line, today considered an essential connection between the two cities. Harbor district is famous for its beautiful parks. First of all, the extensive Ruben Ruiz Memorial, but today also Visit Bounty’s parks, add to the green profile of the district.

Several high-voltage electrical substations, are currently under construction at different locations all over Bounty Islands, as a counter measure to sudden power cuts in the process of switching from the nuclear power plant in North District, to the new one in South District. The stations will also prepare Bounty Islands for expected flooding and heavy rainfall as a result of global warming.

Food and Drink

Victor Durand got one of the old-fashioned boats, fishing in Harbor Bay. Today, traditional open sea fishing only accounts for a fraction of the fish produced, but he delivers an exquisite quality, sold to expensive restaurants and fish shops.

 

The category Food and Drink contributes 16.2% of the total production value. Over the latest 24 months, 565 ton of Fish was produces. At 31.572 coins, resulting in the highest production value in the food and drink category.  77,5% was exported, 5,5% sold to local distribution, the rest used in industrial processed food production. Almost as high was Meat, mainly pork, with 325 ton resulting in a production value of 26.378 coins. 88,8% was exported, 4,6% sold to local distribution. 352 Tun of Beverage was produced valued at 17.420 coins, 5,2% distributed locally, the rest exported. Non-Food Raw Resources

United Food is the largest producer of sugar, with 49,1% of production over the last 24-month period, most of it from greenhouses at Shark Beach Road.

 

 

The category Non-Food Raw Resources contributes 13.9% of the total production value. Over the latest 24-month period, Sugar had the highest production value of all agricultural products and was the 2nd highest valued product overall, only 2nd to Electronic Applications. 546 ton of Sugar was produces, valued at 46.510 coins. 20,9% was exported, 79,1% used in industrial production. 2^nd in the category was Wool, 363 tons was produced with a value of 18.715 coins. 75.3% was exported, 24,7% processed by the industry. 3^rd was Cocoa with a production of 145 ton valued at 12.125 coins. 100% of the Cocoa was exported in the 24 month period. Below some figures to show the entire category.

With 2.394 Oz produced Gold delivers the largest value at 25051 coins. 39,4% of the gold was exported, 60,6% went into jewelry production. 2^nd in the category was Coal, with a production of 240 ton, valued at 18.966 coins. 68,3% was exported, 31,7% used in steel or energy production. Cattle Road District & Shark Beach Suburb, Bounty City

Cattle Road (Main District)

Residents: Back in 2038, 130 families lived in Cattle Road District, of those 7 families in the suburb. Since then, one simple apartment building was erected in the main district area, another one in the suburb. Today 142 families live in Cattle Road District, out of this 11 in Shark Beach Suburb. There are still vacant apartments, but just a few.

Production: Cattle Road District is first and foremost a residential area, but there is some production. Since 2038 United Food’s sugar greenhouses at Shark Beach Road has produces sugar worth 58.759 coins, about 36% of Bounty’s total production. In the same period, Bounty Cigar's Limited produced tobacco worth 18.432 coins in the district, about 15% of Bounty’s total production. The two ranches Schubert's Pork Ranch and De Luca Family Cattle Ranch has produced meat with a value of 30.761 coins, that is about 18% of Bounty’s production and hides worth 2094 coins, about 21% of the total production in the period.

Services: Cattle Road District host several public Institutions, Bounty National Bank, the Immigrant Department, the Export Department, and the two rescue centers. Industry Rescue, covering the west part of the city and Cattle Road Rescue covering the eastern part. There is no hospital in the district but Ruiz Strait Clinic and Cattle Road Clinic, deliver the local healthcare needs, for those that can be treated without hospitalization. President Smirnov’s School, take care of education below university level. Also, some well visited parks are present, Smirnov Park, Cattle Road Park and Cattle Road Recreational Area.

Religious monument Gaia’s birth of Jesus, with the muslin graveyard is located in the district and Cathedral de Sainte Thérèse provide Catholic services. Bounty FM is the only media represented in the district. Entertainment is provided by Teatro De Tropico, Cine De Loro movie theater and the Community House offers public book readings, occasional small concerts, board games and a cheap cup of coffee. Private services include top level restaurant Cibaria Insulam and also fish restaurant Señor Vieira has a nice menu, especially the shellfish lunch, is a favorite for many locals as well as tourists. Hotel America Burger, got the cheap fast meal. Coffee Shop Tropico, is mainly aiming at tourists with free maps and guides, but everyone is welcome. The daily shopping can be done at the People's Market. CityTruck's Cattle Road Depot takes care of local deliveries.

Cattle road is one of the major tourist destinations, with Santoro Golf Resort, Hotel & Hütten Mutter Gaia and Hotel America. Most coming via Holiday Landing, Shark Beach Port or cruise ship's anchoring at Love Boat Bank. Since the new public transport system was finished in 2029, Cattle Road Metro Station serviced 3972 commuters. Bus line 2A from Cattle Road Metro to Legal Department had 3627 commuters, bus line 2B from Cattle Road Metro to Cepero North Metro, 2937 commuters, Bus line 2C from Export Department to Inland Sea Waterfront serviced 2998 commuters and bus line 5L from Shark Beach Port to Cine De Loro was used by 2168 passengers.

Saint Mary’s District, Bounty City

Residents:

In 2024 just 80 families lived in Saint Mary's District, but the number of residents grew with the development of China Town and in 2038 it was 101 families. In 2046 a mansion was constructed at the north side of Coffee Road, originally meant to house the Buddhist monks, but as they chose to live in the temple, it was sold to head of logistics department Nadine Fabbri from the Ministry. In 2051 two private homes was demolished to make room for R.J. Caribbean Fashion Design new workshop. Today 103 families live in Saint Mary’s District.

In 2038 Fujian Fish was constructed at south side of Coffee Road, in 2046 moved to north side in connection with the location of the temple. With a total production value of 30.233 coins since 2038 the company stood for 21% of the fish produced. In the financial sector JD.com took home a profit of 377.238 coins and Schubert Holdings 248.271 coins, over the period. Together responsible for 65% of the sectors revenue. Jørgen Jensen A/S produced cattle worth 61.425 coins, 79% of the total production. Out of which 53.440 came from sales of meat and 7.985 from hides, respectively 33% of meat and 79% of hides produced at Bounty Islands in the period. The company also produced animal feed worth 30.068 coins, that is 21.7% of feed production and 18.1% of all corn and fibers products produced in the period. R. Johnson produced leather worth 53.870 coins, 37,4% of Bounty’s production and Woźniak Family produced gold worth 47019 coins, 31,9% of Bounty’s total production in the period.

 Chinese JD.COM is the largest taxpayer in the district.

 

 Services:

Saint Mary’s District is the seat of a few state-owned public institutions. Most notably the Finance Ministry. Since February 2050 located in the former Traffic and Logistics Ministry building. The 2^nd most important ministry after The President’s Office, currently in the hands of Chloé Lambert from the Christian Democrats. Also, Saint Mary's State Prison, Sugar Road Police Station and Bounty City’s largest Army Base is located in the district. Saint Mary’s district is one of the most important district when it comes to education, seat of Bounty City University's main building and Bounty Islands only private school, JD International.

In healthcare Saint Mary’ Cardinal Hospital, specialized in surgery and cardiovascular diseases are located in the center of the district. In religion Saint Mary's Church is still very important in the Catholic community, being the first Catholic congregation on the Islands. In 2047 the Asian population, mostly Chinese got the Buddhist, Chunping Temple. The Museo de Arte Moderno stands out as the flagship of Bounty Islands high culture, with a unique collection of Caribbean and South American art from the latest two centuries. Andreas Wolf’s famous sculpture park Faces of Power from 1975 is also found in the district. Bounty Sports Association from 2043, is Bounty’s National Stadium and the seat of several sports club. The historical Old Town Fort is also worth a visit. Smaller entertainment venues are Cocktail Bar Beijing, the bar at Bounty City Motel and Leone Parque Acuárico. Harbor Road Shopping Mall is the districts only shopping area.

Saint Mary's District houses four foreign embassies, the Russian, Saudi Arabian, German and Chinese. Previously the district had relatively small parks Schubert Square, Sugar Square, Mine Square and Saint Mary Park. One of the larger, Connector Square, was demolished in 2043, to make room for Bounty Sports Association, but in 2048 when Ramos Construction bought the circus ground, it was immediately sold to The Catholic Church, who paid for the construction of Circus Park, today the largest park in the district. City Truck got three depots in Saint Mary's District, Coffee Road, North Depot and North East Depot. Since the new public transport system was finished in 2029, Saint Mary Metro Station serviced 3694 travelers. Bus line 3A, from Institute Square (Mountains Village) to Sugar Road Police Station (Saint Mary Metro) was used by 723 passengers.

Today at TV1 City: Population, Job, Home and Social Welfare.

Demographics 2002 - 2052

In today’s program we will look at some demographic development over the latest 50 years.

Total Population & Workforce

21 years old university educated miss Tayler, haven’t found a job yet, currently part of the large unproductive group of Bounty inhabitants.

The total population of Bounty Islands have almost doublet over the latest 50 years, from 1178 in January 2002 to 1991 in January 2052. The largest increase was 16,3% in the decade between 2022 and 2032. The slowest growth rate 8,7% in the decade from 2042 to 2052. As seen from the graph below the productive part of the population have decreased somewhat over the 50 years. From 67% in 2002 to 59% in 2052. This was mainly due to the large 40,2% increase in the unproductive part of the population in the decade from 2022 to 2032. The good thing is, that in the latest decade the number of productive has outgrown the number of unproductive. The unproductive part of the population is very mixed, children, elderly, unemployed, adult students, criminals and persons admitted to hospitals or mental institutions.

Jobs & Homes

58 years old Charlotte got a fine job at the brewery, making 76,7 pieces an hour, but with a sick retired husband and a 17 years old teenage daughter, she chose to live in a cheap home at Nvidia Village

Below is a graph showing jobs and housing in the 50-year period. Both growing steadily to follow the growing population. As it can be seen the number of vacant jobs has been quite small most of the time, leading to some unemployment. But around 2040 job vacancy grew quite high, leading to reduced production quantities. The number of vacant homes around 2020 was close to zero, which was of course not good, forcing people into homelessness. It has improved since and the government also, to a certain extent, provide free social housing for the unemployed. Today homelessness is minor issue, mainly people moving between homes or someone who have chosen that lifestyle for a shorter period of time.

Social Welfare

Many People like Spanish immigrant Josefa Ramos, working in the tourist industry, often getting paid between 36 and 58 pennies an hour, envy the social welfare check revived by students and retirees.

 

Back in 2002 there was no official social welfare program, only private and religious soup kitchens and free meal centers provided some security for the unemployed, retired and adult students. Although enough free social apartments were provided by the government.

When Juan Navarro held his Presidential speech after the 2010 election, he stressed that a social reform would come and soon after adult students and retired elderly got social security, a program that has continued and was further extended since. From 2010 only the unemployed was in risk of starvation and homelessness. Still relying on private charity. Most of the time the government have provided enough free houses to avoid forced homelessness, but not always of a quality able to prevent socially determined health problems. In the tropical climate, damp and fungi becomes a problem in the small underfinanced apartments. The decrease in social welfare cost from 2042 to 2052 seen in the graph, is a result of a 14% decrease in the elderly population. Quite a lot of retired people died in that decade. As shown, the welfare check has grown steadily from 8.267 pieces a month in 2012 to 12.312 pieces a month in 2052, equivalent to about 70 pieces an hour.

Industrial Zone, Cepero Capital City

Industrial Zone is not a district on its own, it is administratively part of Cepero Capital City, never the less we have decided to dedicate a program of its own, to this important part of Bounty Island's production capacity. The area has no residential building, no one lives here, besides the few shacks that popup from time to time, just to be swiftly torn down by the police.

 Production:

South Industrial Harbor had a turnover of 1.43 million from 2038 to 2052, 530.000 coins less the Bounty Bay Harbor. All the factories in Industrial Zone are unique, having monopoly on their production with 100% market share at Bounty Islands. The largest company in Industrial Zone have been HIQUEA Ltd with a revenue of 328.675 coins. Split between the furniture factory with 196.408 coins and the synthetic material factory with 132.267 coins. 2^nd largest was Nvidia ElTioBit producing electronics worth 248.727 coins.

Nvidia ElTioBit have bought about 1.100 tons of synthetic material from HIQUEA Ltd from 2038 to 2052, worth about 73.600 coins

 

Over the period, Schubert Holdings had a revenue in Industrial Zone at 225.313 coins, 106.805 coins from SPF Brewery, 73.658 coins from SPF Processed Food and 44.850 from SPF Tropicolate. Bounty State Medication produced medicine worth 138.426 coins. M. Leroy JV produced steel worth 125.898 coins.

Energy Sector: Erected in 1948-1949, the original Cepero Coal Plant was built to produce a maximum of 360 MW, in 2038 it was 396 MW, today Cepero Power produces 446 MW. Offshore wind turbines at Caribbean Sea Power Zone, constructed from 2040 to 2042 produces another 258 MW.

Services: Industrial Zone got three public institutions, State Statistic Department, Industrial Zone Police and Industrial Zone Rescue. S/L got two truck depots S/L Cepero Harbor at Turbine Road and S/L Industrial Zone at Jungle Road. Since the new public transport system was finished in 2029, Industrial Zone metro was used by disappointing 699 commuters, it is likely that the Metro Station will be moved to a different location in the future.

For years the employees at state statistic department have complained about the unusual location of this important governmental institution, in the ugly and polluted industrial area. Shifting governments have in principle been in favor of a move, but it just never happened.

Cepero Capital City

Residents:

In 2024 just 118 families lived in what was then Cepero Town, but after the large rebuild proposed and carried out by architect Mrs. Battaglia, 125 families lived in the town in 2038, 8 at Ruben Ruiz Waterfront, 9 at Inland Sea Waterfront, 9 at what is now Cepero City North, 65 in New Village and 34 in what is now Cepero City South. A few houses were built in the northern part of the city since the late 2030’s. Today 133 families live in the Capital City of The Republican Nation Bounty Islands, 11 at Ruben Ruiz Waterfront, 12 at Inland Sea Waterfront, 9 in Cepero City North, 67 in New Village and 34 in Cepero City South. There is currently not a single vacant house or apartment, in the Capital City.

New Village is densely populated, but quite desirable due to recent upgrades and modernization, also the breeze from new village beach and the park in the center of the neighborhood, add to the special atmosphere.

Changes:

The most important change in Cepero City was off course the construction of the new parliament building between July 2048 and August 2049 and the following declaration of Capital City status in November 2051. Smaller, but noteworthy was that in 2040 Pablo Romero Biological Faculty, was shot down, where after the Financial Science Center was created in the same building. Also noteworthy was the construction of Memorandum Isabella Drosophila in 2048, with small inscriptions of all the children lost to the tropical fever, a signaling that this deadly tropical fever was now almost exterminated. The reforestation of North Jungle Nature Reserve began in 2050.

Transport:

Goods transport are handled by S/L New Village and S/L Cepero Town. Since the new public transport system finished in 2029. Cepero North Metro Station was used by 1934 commuters and Cepero Park Metro Station was used by 1706. Intercity Bus 2A from Cattle Road Metro to Legal Department was used by 3627 commuters, 2B from Cattle Road Metro to Cepero North Metro 2937 commuters, 2C from Export Department to Inland Sea Waterfront serviced 2998 commuters. 

Bus 4A between Miners Village and Cepero Park Metro was used by 1988 people. Bus line 4B between Plain Hamlet and Cepero Park Metro was used by 1987 people. The “L” bus lines connecting Cepero City with D'Angelo Town has been rearranged several times, the numbers are approximated, it is expected that between 5500 and 5600 people crossed the D'Angelo Bridge in one of the three bus lines we got today.

History of Tourism at Bounty Islands

In 1989 foreign ministry division Visit Bounty was formed and funded the first tourist harbor at the shores of Ruben Ruiz Strait, bringing the first tourist to Hotel America already constructed back in 1985 to help the American Embassy with accommodation for Foreign Service Officers. In 1993 the larger tourist complex Hotel & Hütten Mutter Gaia opened, aimed especially at German and Scandinavian tourists.

In 2025 Visit Bounty had invested in another Tourist Port at Shark Beach, able to receive boats from cruise ship anchored at Love Boat Bank. In 2030 Cielo Hotel opened at Jungle Road, Cepero Town. In 2037 Lucia and Luigi Santoro opened Santoro Golf Resort, at the time having a small resort, two luxurious beach villas and the golf course. In 1947 the couple constructed a two-star Hotel. The current owners Giorgia Biancho and Mary Wright, added some one family cabins in 2050.

In the figure below the two graphs show respectively accommodation fee and other tourists fees in coins/year. The columns show the current number of tourists, total accommodation and occupied accommodation. As it shows there have been an almost linear increase over the years, except in the period from 2012 to 2022, where we see a rather odd and unexpected decline in total number of tourists and occupied accommodation, resulting in reduced revenues in both accommodation fees and other tourist fees. Visit Bounty, did off course analyze this. Turned out that there was not one single factor to explain why the decline came. It was a consequence of a combination of factors, first of all the tourist business was quite stagnant from 1993 to 2025, with no new exciting initiatives. At the same time unemployment was low in 2012, resulting in a relatively bad service level, as in low salary areas of business, like tourism, the had a hard time finding quality workers, which led to bad reviews of hotels and other accommodation. Fortunately, all that changed and today we are at an all-time high. 

In 2039 Visit Bounty got a large headquarter in Harbor District, further strengthening the future of tourism. Resulting in the construction of an airport at D'Angelo Island in 2041. In 2042 D'Angelo Bay Tourist Resort, a cluster of rental vacation houses opened at the beach east of the airport, the following year a much larger resort named D'Angelo Beach Resort was constructed further down the coast, aiming at upper class guests.

Miner’s Town, South District 

Early History

The first settlement located at what is today included in Miner Town, was located at what was then called Cepero Small Plains, approximately where the Army Base is today. This settlement existed from the late 1980’s until 1997 with up to 14 working class families living in cheap simple apartments, most of them employed at the local mines and plantations. During 1997 the first few houses emerge at South Cepero Road west of Drilling Road, the old settlement was abandoned and what was to become Miner’s Village had begun. The following year Susana D'Angelo, build a small port at D'Angelo Island and with D'Angelo Bridge from November 2000, Miner’s Village had become a gateway between Cepero Town and the Island. 

Residents:

The development happened quite fast in the beginning and already in 2010 39 families was living in Miners Village, after that it was quite stagnant with 37 families in 2020, 40 in 2030. During in 2030’s a new face began with the relocation of the entire defense ministry to the area, Secret Bounty Military Headquarter in 2032 and The Military Headquarter in 2033. Also, Jørgen Jensen A/S extended their activities and in 2036 the Order of Fen opened their new Abbey. In 2040 59 families lived in Miner’s Village. In November 2051 Miners Village became Miners Town, today 64 families live in the town.

Production:

The largest company in Miner’s Town is M. Leroy JV, with a combined production value of 308.146 coins from 2038 to 2052, 247.495 from weapons production at M. Leroy Firearms, 60.651 coins from their nickel mine. Both literally having 100% market share on bounty, although some nickel is recycled, but that is less than 0,2%. The second largest company is Jørgen Jensen A/S with a combined revenue of 197.424 coins, 64.844 from Llama Wool, that is 65% of all wool produced at the Islands. 55.339 from fish, 38% of total fish production. 41.754 from cotton, 100% of production and 35.487 from sugar, 22% of total sugar production on the Islands. Leone Family have produced coal worth 32.642 coins, 43% of coal production and Sullivan Oil West has produced oil worth 12.772 coins, that is 26% of total oil production. 

M. Leroy Firearms JV is the most important business in the Miner’s village area. 

 Services:

State Institutions: Ministry of Security, Military Headquarters, Secret Bounty Military Headquarters and Military Agency. Local public Institutions: The Army Base, South Cepero Fire Station from 2046 and the Police Hangar from 2050. Healthcare: Miner’s Village Hospital was constructed in 2041, at the time also the nearest hospital for residents at D’Angelo Island. The only private service in the area is fast food from Miner's Burger. The only larger park in Miner’s Town is Veterans Park from 2051.

Energy: In 2038 Miner’s Town Solar Power Plant produced 450MW, today it has increased to 614MW. Transport: S/L Shipping got two depots Cepero Main and D'Angelo Road. Since Miner’s Village Metro Station opened in 2037, 299 passengers have used the station. Bus 4A between Miners Village and Cepero Park Metro was used by 1988 people since 2029. 

Developer Jane Jansen retired after 31 years at Inland Sea Route, Battaglia Engineering Ltd took over the buildings. Cepero Department Store, Bounty Concert Hall, Cepero Park and Cepero Town Apartment Complex was all constructed by Developer Jane Jansen.

A heated debate took place in the Parliament, after opposition leader Dmitry Kowalczyk claimed that the use of jungle wood in Sánchez & Co. Quality Toys was not in line with the governments usual talk about saving threatened natural resources. After a week, Chief of Police Mariano Sánchez announced that the inmates would use cotton or plastic at the factory instead.

Jan Müller from Nationalist Action died from heart failure just 68 years old. He will be replaced by 55 years old, former industrial livestock farmer, Mikel Muñoz. Mikel is married to Guest Experience Manager at Santoro Golf Resort Nora Muñoz, the couple has two children 35 years old Alba, also in the tourism industry and 21 years old Dolores, working with mineral extraction. There are no grandchildren.

Ryuji Taka Family, May 2052

Ryuji Taka, the son of Svetlana and Carlos Taka, was born March 2016 at Sugar Road, Saint Mary's District. The family continued to live in different apartment of varying quality in Saint Mary's District throughout his childhood and teenage years. Ryuji never knew his older sister Mishiko who died the same year he was born. Ryuji’s grandfather Ludwig died long before he was born, but he was close with his grandmother Alexandra until her death in 2028. Ryuji realized he was homosexual in his teenage years, but kept it to himself, until he fell in love with 7 years older Oliver Evans, in 2038. Moving into Evan’s classic style apartment at South Cepero Road, Miner’s Village. They were both working at S/L shipping when they met, but Oliver got tired of sitting behind the wheel, and started working with tobacco in the early 2040’s. The couple moved from Miners Road to an apartment in Lucia Village. Ryuji lost his mother in 2023. While Ryuji continued at S/L shipping, Oliver got another new job in 2045, working in Leone Families coal mine. Ryuji didn’t approve, afraid of his partners lungs, Oliver just smiled saying: “take it easy”, but after a few years he was back at the tobacco plantation. Ryuji lost his father Carlos in 2049, now he had no family left, besides his partner.

Today at TV1 City: Nvidia Village, Tobacco and Lucia Comestibles

South District East

Residents: The first settlement of what was to become Lucia Village happened in the first half of the 1950’s, at the end of the decade 10 families lived in the area mainly working at the plantations and mines in South District. The village grew rapidly, 20 years later 44 families lived in the village. At the turn of the millennium Lucia Village had grown to 65 families. The first settlement of what is now Plain Hamlet began in 1997, at the turn of the millennium 12 families lived in the hamlet. Today 65 families live in Lucia Village, 18 families in Plain Hamlet and another 13 families in Nvidia Village constructed in the winter 2040/2041 a little further south.

Production:

The largest company over the period from 2038 to 2052 in South District East have been Bounty Cigar's Limited with their two plantations producing tobacco worth 68.375 coins. That is 56% of the total production in the period. HIQUEA Ltd had a total production value of 57.052 in the period.  44.191 from processed wood and 12.861 from cutting down logs. Expected to be respectively 36 and 31% of total productions on the Islands. Sullivan extracted oil worth 36.486 in South District East, 56% of total production. Nvidia started extraction of gold in late 2041, they have extracted gold worth 35.484 coins since, that is 30.8% of total production between 2042 and 2052. Since 2038 Walker Family has extracted iron worth 30.668 coins, 54% of total production. SPF has harvested coconuts worth 27.033 the only producer of this important food item. Jørgen Jensen has produced wool worth 18.358, 18% of total production and United Food has produced Bananas worth 13.164 coins, 30% of total production.

Service:

South District East is still a very rural area, with a small service level, all in Lucia Village. There are no state institutions. Lucia Village Police Station and Lucia Clinic the only public service buildings. Lucia Comestibles covers the daily shopping needs and Cepero (movie) Theater stands for the entertainment. S/L’s two depots Lucia Village and South District takes care of freight. Bus line 4B has transported 1987 passengers between Plain Hamlet and Cepero Park Metro.

According to Minister of internal affairs Alejandro Pérez, Nvidia is not actually a Tropican Company, but they made a deal with Lotte Rinaldi about 15 years ago, and moved a tiny fraction of their operation to Bounty Islands. Alejandro sums up what has happened:

July 2035: Global leader in graphics processors Nvidia Corporation, based in Santa Clara, California. Have negotiated a deal with foreign minister Lotte Rinaldi. Paying an undisclosed sum, they will be allowed to drill for new valuable metal deposits on the islands. If they start mining precious metals later, the deal is that a new electronic production factory must be located on Bounty Islands, bringing new jobs to our nation.   

September 2039: An agreement between Traffic and Logistics Minister Carla García and Nvidia Corporation United States management, resulted in the construction of the promised electronic factory. The factory is supposed to produce a highly heat resistance CPU, produced with a thermo-polyvinyl from HIQUEA Synthetic Material and a combination of precious metal. The new CPU will be branded Nvidia ElTioBit. Carla García has promised to supply the qualified workforce needed to provide a smooth recruitment process. Either by immigration or reeducation of existing workers. The factory was located at Jungle Road, next to HIQUEA Synthetic Material and M. Leroy Steel JV.

September 2045: Nvidia ElTioBit have developed a unique cooling system for computer and graphic CPU, using thick plant oil they call ResinX, in a patented aluminum cooler. To continue experiments with the substance at Bounty Islands, Nvidia have started production of ResinX and aluminum extraction will also start soon. Nvidia’s ResinX and Aluminium production facilities was located next to each other at Mountain Village.

Medio Maj 2052, Renaming Bounty City

The TV programs have also been broadcasted in European and Asian countries, the feedback have been very positive, besides that the audience have complained about the fact that there is a Bounty Nation, Bounty Islands, a (main) Bounty Island and a Bounty City. This worried Visit Bounty a lot, as it is an indication that many tourists may have the same issues. Visit Bounty complained to the Minister of Internal Affairs Alejandro Pérez and after long debates in the parliament, a new set of names was chosen.

 Bounty City becomes Ruiz City. 

 The nation will continue to be The Republican Nation of Bounty Islands, in short Bounty Nations or Bounty Islands, geographically it is also still Bounty Islands. But what used to be (main) Bounty Island, will be renamed to Ruiz Island and Bounty City, will become Ruiz City. In the process some bus lines and metro stations was also renamed and a few bus stops moved. New tourist pamphlets was created with a transport and sightseeing map.

D’Angelo Island

Residents:

The settlement of D'Angelo Islands began in 1998 when Susana D'Angelo, built a small port and a tobacco plantation on the Island. Others joined her and soon a bridge was built, about 25 years later 50 families lived on the Island. The development continued fast, in 2038 it was more than twice as many with 109 families. D’Angelo Village North, which was located at Inland Sea Road in the harbor area was torn down in the early 40’s, in 2051 also D’Angelo Tower was demolished. Instead, more homes were constructed in Upper D'Angelo, along D’Angelo Main Road and the new Gutiérrez Village arose in 2044, next to the family’s corn plantation. Today 133 families live on D’Angelo Island.

Production:

Grasso & O’Niell is the dominant business at D’Angelo Island, producing 36,8% of the islands total production value since 2038. The company is the only producer of the excellent Bounty Crocodile Skin, producing skin worth 62.026 coins since 2038, that is 43.1% of all leather products. They produced meat worth 77.279 coins in the period, 47.8% of all produced meat. Fish worth 45.711 coins, 31.3% of all fish produced at Bounty Islands. Finally, they also produced industrial corn worth 28.655 coins, 26.1% of all corn produced.

The 2^nd largest producer at D’Angelo Island is United Fruit, with a total production value over the period at 43.661 coins. 27.701 coins from pineapple, the only pineapple producer left at Bounty Islands. 15.360 coins from sugar, that is 9,4% of all sugar produced. The State Uranium mine produced a value of 38.368, about 50% of total production. D'Angelo Plantation produced tobacco worth 35.214 coins, 28,9% of total production. Bounty Bay Rum produced sugar worth 19.522 coins, 12% of total sugar production and Gutiérrez family produced consumer quality corn worth 17.034 coins, the only producer of quality corn left at Bounty Islands. That is 15,5% of all corn produced.

Tourism:

Since 2038, D’Angelo Island has developed into a thriving tourist destination, with the construction of the airport in 2041, D'Angelo Bay Tourist Resort in 2042 and D'Angelo Beach Resort in 2043.

Services:

D’Angelo Town is the seat of Bounty Islands only mental institution La Casa Nuestra Señora, a combined hospital and asylum constructed in the winter 2043/2044. Other public institutions are D'Angelo Main Police Station, Airport Police Station from 2047, Sánchez & Co. workshop from 2051, D’Angelo Fire Station and The Army Camp. Religious Service are provided by Iglesia Nuestra Señora, built in 2038. Local shopping can be done at D’Angelo Grocery, and there is Gastronomy D’Angelo restaurant built in 2042 and Pub D’Angelo for a relaxing meal or a drink.

D'Angelo Freight got three deport, taking care of goods delivery. Since the new public transport system was finished in 2029, the two existing lines has transported 4614 passengers across the bridge, in 2039 a third bus line started operation, since then used by 959 commuters.

Energy: The old fossil fuel based powerplant was torn down in 2041 in connection with the airport construction, losing 355 MW. In 2044 D'Angelo Sunpower was constructed, today delivering 455 MW, the same year D’Angelo offshore power zone was erected, deep in the Inland Sea, today producing 130MW.

As promised in the agreement between Chairman of Johnson Holdings, Moria Johnson and Minister of Internal Affairs Alejandro Pérez (Green Revolution), R. Johnson SunWear was relocated out of North District. The Ministry made some changes in the road network at the south part of Cepero Industrial Zone, most notably straightening out Arthur M. Leroy’s Road, to make room the factory next to the steel plant.

August 2052

Chinese community leader Yǔháng Zhào died a few days after his 69^th birthday. His sister council member Xiu Wǔ will be the new unofficial leader of Chinatown and the Asian community. His wife Zǐ hán Zhōu will lead the family restaurant 豬肉菠蘿 (Zhūròu Bōluó). Yǔháng Zhào will be remembered by the Bounty Buddhist, as the major force behind Chunping Temple. Besides his wife and his sister, Yǔháng Zhào will leave behind his two daughters. 24 years old Min T'ien and 23 years old Xiang Zhōu. 

Yǔháng Zhào got testicular cancer in 2048, receiving surgical treatments, chemotherapy and radiotherapy, but it spread.
