The construction of the new nuclear plant finished. The plant is located near the coast at the edge of South Plains on Cepero Islands, using reactors cooled with water from D’Angelo Sea. Some protesters claim a location like this is very dangerous, recalling the Fukushima nuclear accident in March 2011. The authorities claim that it is much safer with the modern technology we have today, but do not provide conclusive evidence that this should be the case. The old nuclear plant in North District slowly dismisses employees, just keeping enough to avoid power cuts, while the new plant is awaiting supply deliveries.

Talal & Alicja Ahmed, October 2052

Talal Ahmed was born in March 2020, in his parent’s colonial style house at Monica Roux Residential Area. Soon after his father Kaamran, a gangster and drug dealer working within the Loyal to Familia organization, relocated the family to a large apartment in Mountain Village for security reasons. Talal got a younger brother Zakaria in 2027, but he died from a tropical fever in 2031. In his late teens the family moved to a penthouse apartment in President Purple Villa, his father was now a quite high-ranking member of the Familia. Talal met Olivia Onley from Kelso, southern Scotland, while studying at President Smirnov’s School. Talal got a job at Ramos Construction and rented a small apartment in Ruiz Tower, living with Olivia from 2039, she was still at Bounty University at the time. After Olivia’s graduation in the early 40’s she got job as junior doctor at Bounty City Hospital and the couple moved to a modern mansion at Coconut Road. Olivia’s ranked up at the hospital and in the mid 40’s the couple rented the lower floor of Dr. Sofia Pellegrin’s famous mansion, one of the most expensive addresses in the city. Despite being qualified for a better job Talal started working as waiter at The Donkey Mansion. Maybe due to his unusual upbringing, son of a gangster and a former prostitute, Talal was drinking a lot in this period. In the beginning of the 2050’s Talal’s drinking got to the point where Olivia demanded that he went to rehab or she would leave him. Talal was detoxicated at La Casa Nuestra Señora, Talal got a job as firefighter and temporarily the family moved to a cheap apartment in Mountain Village, to get far away from the friends at Donkey Mansion.

After work, Olivia Onley had lunch with a friend at the Yate Club, now walking in Ruiz City, to lay of some calories

    Mf0H7Lf.jpg

The mother of Talal, Alicja Ahmed was born in Leningrad 1985, in what was then The Soviet Union. She grew up in a very poor family, in the chaos of post-soviet era, she ended up hustling and prostituting herself. Just 17-year-old she followed a diplomat on his journey to Bounty Island, he got tired of her and did not bring her with him, when he returned to Russia. Soon, she got involved with gangsters from Loyal to Familia. In 2017 she met Talal’s father Kaamran, they married when she got pregnant in 2019. Last time we heard from her in 2042, they lived in the penthouse apartment at President Purple Villa. In 2050 they chose to move to a little bit less busy area, buying a house at Cattle Road East, costing them 883 coins, a fair price in this fine neighborhood. Where they lived together until Kaamran was killed by a police officer, last month.

Moria Johnson died 68 years old. Moria was the youngest daughter of José and Yelena Johnson and since her mothers dead in 2027, she was leader of the business empire, chairman of R Johnson Holdings and the largest shareholder in HIQUEA Ltd. Moria was very influential and besides the family, most of the financial and political leadership of Bounty Islands, including the president and ministers attended the lavish funeral at St. Isidore Cathedral. For the first time since Anisette Johnson, the company would not be inherited in a direct bloodline, as according to her will, the new chairman of Johnson Holdings will become her nephew, Álvaro Pérez. The son of Moria´s brother Aleto Johnson. He will also be president of the new Robert Johnson Foundation, who will become majority shareholder in both R Johnson Holdings and HIQUEA Ltd. Moria Johnson’s son Charles was clearly aware of this and accepted the fact that his cousin was better suited for the job.

This year it will be 100 years since Pirate War’s Veteran George Sullivan died. Due to notes and writings done by Fenna Bruno, we know quite a lot about George. He came to Bounty Islands in the mid 1890’s. Living with a young girl Mila De Jong in a shack, near the road still called Shack Village Road today. They had a daughter Martina De Jong. Mila and George were both hired as soldiers, fighting the pirates. Mila De Jong was killed in action. George and his two years old daughter Martina De Jong moved out of Shack Village, the last mention we got of his daughter. Several years later George hooked up with Ane Sánchez, the daughter of famous Rubén Ruiz, inventor of the Original Bounty Rum brand.

    Ben Sánchez family, March 2053

Ben Sánchez was born April 2010, in his mother’s apartment at Banana Road, Mountain village. The first child of Aitana and Rafael Sánchez. His mother a descendant of the Sullivan family. In 2014 he got little sister Zoe, but she died just two years old. The family moved into a fine old country style house at Banana Road and Ben got little sister Emilia Sánchez in June 2022. Ben took his 2nd level diploma from President Smirnov’s School in 2024. In 2031 he left his parent’s home to live with former class mate Nora Ramos. Ben worked at S/L Cepero North. Nora at the Museum of Original Culture. Nora got pregnant and they moved to a large modern apartment at 7th floor in Cepero Town Complex. Nora gave birth to their daughter Clair in October 2036. Ben started working for Robert Jones, the manager of Cepero Treatment Systems. The family was very happy in this period, they had another healthy daughter Ophelia, in May 2043. Sadly, Ben lost his job in 2050, having a long period of unemployment, until R. Johnson SunWear recently started hiring at their new location in Cepero Industrial Zone. During Ben’s unemployment, the family had to abandon the expensive but luxurious apartment at Cepero Town Complex, temporarily living in a tight home at a worn-out building in Lucia Village. Today, with Ben’s new job, the family has rented a much nicer apartment at Piotrowski Street in the eastern part of Lucia Village. Clair has finished her 2nd level education, now taking small teenage jobs at the local farms and ranches. The parents have not yet been able to get Ophelia a seat for her education.

Ben have bought a small family car, mainly using it to get to work at the textile factory.

The new public funded Cepero Literature Society opened at the corner of Smirnow Road and Piotrowski Street. The Literature Society is first and foremost a publisher of Bounty’s young promising writers and poets, but also the seat of Bounty’s first and only newspaper Cepero Present-Day, in principle independent, but publicly funded. Last but not least Cepero Literature Society also function as a place of cultural evenings, with café and public reading, where established writers like Aitana Sánchez or young upcoming poets like Petra López, read from their latest works.

The extension of M. Leroy Steel JV is ready, due to the higher production in the expanded plant, they have introduced a modern CO2 recycling system, reducing the discharge with about 20%. The new systems slow down production, expecting to have a cost of 20-30% of maximum production capacity.

The number of people dying from bad healthcare is quite high. National director of healthcare Artyom Popov have issued a vaccination program, to avoid elderly from dying of the otherwise harmless viruses that hits the Islands during the rain season. Professor Sergei Kamiński from University Research Laboratory stated in an interview at TV1 City, that he approves of the initiative, but believe the root of the problem is in the filthy and often poor neighborhoods. Suggesting a garbage handling system.

The military task force, created in 2050, fighting organized crime it now fully integrated in the police effort. All the military camps, has personnel taking part in the hunt for criminals. Some artists and intellectuals have claimed that it’s a dangerous path, but most people don’t care as long as it works and more police is more police regardless the color of the uniform.

    Important Families: Schubert

The Schubert family history was quite short, never the less the family made a lasting imprint on Bounty Island, most visible with the long Schubert Bridge connecting Cepero Industrial Zone with Ruiz Island.

Dirk Schubert was born 1898 in Stuttgart, Imperial Germany. Son of locksmith Theodor and his wife Elisabeth. Dirk was a bright child and with the help of relatives was able to attend Hohenheim College, at the time a famous academy of agriculture and forestry. He married Heike and the couple was hired by local landowners to help with modernizing the crops and livestock production. Heike Helena Kleienböck, born 1897, was the daughter of a peasant from Feuerbach, located some 7 km north of Stuttgart. The couple married after Heike got pregnant, Frank Schubert was born in 1922. In the 1930’s the Schubert family fled Germany, due to raising nationalism and ended on Bounty Islands. Dirk was hired by the Export Department, Heike worked with quality control at Bounty Cigar's Limited, at the same time they invested in several plantations, most notably they bought the two tobacco plantations located at Cepero Island, becoming one of the wealthier families at Bounty Islands. The son Frank met a local girl named Vera in the early 1940’s, they married in 1946, after the birth of their son Dirk Schubert Jr.

    Dirk Schubert February 1939

After being a huge tobacco producer for years, Heike and Dirk Schubert decided to start their own cigar production in 1948. Building the Schubert Cigar’s Factory on Cepero Islands, the first factory in what was to become Cepero Industrial Zone. In the winter 1953/54, their company, at the time named Schubert Corporation, constructed Schubert Bridge, a gift to the state connecting Cattle Road District with northeast Cepero Island. In July 1954 they opened a food factory at Cepero Island, Schubert Processed Food. With many Russian peasants coming to Bounty Island in the 1950’s, Heike dropped her first name, calling herself Helena Schubert. In 1962 the Schubert Family was one of the larger investors behind the formation of M. Leroy JV. Heike Helena Schubert born Kleienböck, died in 1964. Dirk Schubert passed away in 1970, 72 years old.

Frank Schubert born 1922 in Stuttgart, the Weimar Republic, also known as the German Reich, became chairman of the board at Shubert Holdings in 1970, after the death of his father. His wife Vera Schubert was also member of the board. Their is no doubt in the mind of modern historians, that the factual leader of the company was Vera, Frank was an old fashion militaristic leader type, whereas Vera was a visionary and very clever woman. They lived in a house at Jungle Road, to be close to their manufacturing plants. In 1971 Schubert Holding and M. Leroy JV formed S/L Shipping, constructing South Industrial Harbor and buying two transport compagnies. The Schubert family bought a nickel mine in south district a few years later. In 1977 the company opened a pig ranch at what was then Long Connector Street in Cattle Road District. Now also entering the fresh food market. Dirk Schubert Jr. was a playboy, not taking interest in the company, he died in 1979 from an overdose of alcohol and drugs. There was no heir left in the family.

Frank Schubert in Bounty City, October 1978

    jN9QZj7.jpg

Frank Schubert died in 1988, 66 years old. Vera Schubert, now the only family member left and the solo owner of the company, added director of Cepero Power Luuk De Vries and Council Member from Cepero Town Alba Van de Berg, to the board of directors. Vera and Alba had a lasting affair, only known to Alba’s husband Finn Van de Berg, who accepted his wife’s attraction towards women. Vera bequeathed Schubert Holdings to Alba and Finn Van de Berg, partly due to her personal relation with the family, but also because she believed Alba would be the right person for the job. Vera died in 1990. At this point Shubert Holdings was behind Schubert Cigar Factory, Schubert Processed Food, two tobacco plantations, Shubert Pork Ranch and Schubert Nickel Mine. 35% of M. Leroy Firearms JV, 35% of M. Leroy Steel JV, 67,5% of South Industrial Harbor and 67.5% of S/L Shipping.

    The two factories 1989

    obBFgw5.jpg

    Epilogue:

Alba Van de Berg was chairman of Schubert Holdings, until her death in April 2022. Finn Van de Berg already a well-known painter and film maker at the time, was never interested in running Shubert Holdings, he’s focus was intellectual and creative, not interested in shares and profit. As soon as Alba was gone, he sold the company to American investors. During the leadership of Alba Van de Berg, Schubert Holdings sold the nickel mine to M. Leroy JV in 2006 and opened the brewery in 2014. After Schubert Holdings was sold to foreign investors, they started harvesting coconut in South Jungle from late 2022. Schubert Cigars was closed down in 2031, due to restrictions of tobacco production. In April 2035, an improved vacuum packing system, was introduced at Schubert Processed Food. Allowing packed fresh meat to have enough durability for long distance export. In 2036 the company opened Tropicolate, a sweets and chocolate factory. The same year, the company’s production facilities was rebranded to SPF, with daughter companies, SPF Processed Food, SPF Brewery and SPF Tropicolate.

    Ronnie Sullivan Family, July 2053

Since his mother retired in 2042, Ronnie Sullivan has been the chairman of Sullivan Oil. Himself, his wife Cristina and recently also his daughter Vera Sullivan, make up the company board. Ronnie Sullivan was born March 1986 in a small apartment on Cepero Main. He was leading the east jungle oil operation for decades. His wife Cristina moved in with him in the late 2000’s, living in his mother’s large 3 story house at Smirnov Road, Lucia Village. Ronnie lost his father Alexandre Martin in 2007. In 2010 Ronnie and Christina left his mother’s home, settling in their own apartment at South Cepero Road. The couple married in 2020 and Cristina gave birth to their daughter Vera in July 2022. In August 2028 the family was extended with their son Stephen. At that point Cristina worked in S/L Trucks, administrating the truck operations in South District. After taking over the company in 2042 Ronnie Sullivan bought South Jungle Tower, using the upper half as a private residence, turning the lower part into Sullivan Oil company headquarters. In 2043 Ronnie was elected chairman of Bounty Industry Association. In 2044 Ronnie Sullivan, was part of Bounty’s delegation to COP89 in Delhi. Ronnie lost his beloved mother Dolores in 2051. In the last few years Cristina has worked as doctor, one or two days a week, at Cepero North Hospital. Not because she needs to, but just to get away from the oil business from time to time. Christina and Ronnie still live in the penthouse apartment of top of Sullivan Oil Headquarter, at the former South Jungle Tower on Indian Road. The children have both left to form their own families. In December 2048 Vera Sullivan, was elected new member of Council of the Districts, representing the Oli & Mining Industry Association. More about her and her brother in later updates.

    September 2053

When the owner of the old circus, Natasha Rodríguez sold the circus ground to Ramos Construction in 2048, it was bought by The Catholic Church, who back then, paid for the construction of the Circus Park. Now the Catholic Church have been able to found the construction of Saint Mary’s Cathedral at the site, at the same time the first Archbishop of Bounty Islands was appointed by Pope Leo XIII, 64 years old Francisco Navarro, born at Bounty Islands. The new cathedral will be the seat of the archbishop and thereby the most important of the three cathedrals at Bounty Island. The old Saint Mary’s Church from 1924 was demolished and a park located at the site, to the great despair of bounty’s historians. Most Catholics was divided in the matter, glad to get a new large and gorgeous cathedral, but also sad to lose the old church.

    October 2053

A large gas explosion happened in the home of Rubén Martínez and his family. Miraculously everyone survived.

South Distric Nuclear is now fully staffed and supplied. The old plant in North District has been destructed and a road now leads deeper into the jungle. Construction of new agricultural production has slowly begun. As for now, the solar energy and wind power, was allowed to stay.

    Charles Johnson, November 2053

Charles Johnson, the son of single mother Moria Johnson, was born June 2021 in Miners Village. His mother was a hard-working businesswoman, the general manager of R. Johnson Furniture. From his early childhood raised by various nannies. In 2024 his grandmother Yelena Johnson retired and his mother was now the chairman of the board of R Johnson Holdings. The family lived in luxury, at a large apartment in Lucia Village, but he got little care and attention from his mother. Charles took a degree from President Williams School and started political economy studies at Bounty University in 2035, he dropped out in 2037. The band he was drumming in, got some success and he was not able to cope this the complexity of the exercises and pressure from examination. Moria bought the apartment block and turned it into a private house in 2038. Charles new girlfriend Verónica Klein also spend most nights in the house. Charles and Verónica left the house in 2045, he was still pursuing a career in music, now drumming in the Bounty Concert Hall Jazz Band, she was a tourist’s diving instructor. The couple living cheaply in The Sailors Homes, Harbor District. Charles formed his own avantgarde Jazz Band “Knarf Appaz” in the late 40’s. Having a dedicated but small crowd of followers. Artistically the direction he wanted, but he had to work part time in the Uranium mine at Plateau Village to make ends meet. Through her connections in the tourist business, Verónica got a better full-time occupation at Fenna Chapel Museum. Dressed as a nun, giving historical tours in the chapel and graveyard. The family are doing fine now and could afford better that the working class apartment they moved into at Old Banana Road in Plateau Village. Despite now both in their early 30’s, why have no children. Charles mother Moria died last year, leaving him with some shares in R Johnson Holdings.

She truly has divine powers as she appears to be floating above the ground. *:D Just kidding, no offence. *

It's interesting to see that Tropico 6 has finally done away with gender-specific jobs. I noticed it in your previous entries as well - female soldiers, policewomen, doctors etc. Unless this is a mod (there was one for Tropico 4).

The "SimCity 4" vanilla Opera House is the most evil thing in existence. Avoid.

    December 2053

Sculpture artist Jacob Robinson belonging to the Anaconda Group. Created a large paper mache house boat. Blocking the entrance to the trade pier at Bounty Bay Harbor. He got arrested, but the impressive boat received a lot of attention from media and even reached some international publicity, cementing his reputation as Bounty's most promising sculptor in recent times.

    February 2054

Due to recommendations made by Professor Sergei Kamiński from University Research Laboratory, the city authorities decided to build a large environmental station in the center if Ruiz City, using a corner of Ruiz City Park. Local residents from Monica Roux Residential Area were furious, whereas people living further away, especially those in Cattle Road District was glad to hear that a solution was finally found to the unhealthy garbage situation. The Tourist Industry complained saying environmental issues was of course important to their industry, but the location was ridiculous.

    Gafur Ahmed Family, April 2054

Gafur Ahmed was born in his mother’s small apartment on Cepero Main, November 1989. The son of plantation workers Jeanne and Majed Ahmed. Near the end of the 90’s the family moved to a slightly larger apartment in New Village, Cepero Town, where Gafur spent his teens. Graduating from President Williams in 2007. In 2010 he left his parents’ home to live with three years younger Beatriz Vázquez, from a middle-class immigrant family. The couple moved to a cheap apartment at Plantation Route, at the outskirts of D'Angelo village. Both professional soldiers working at the nearby camp. Beatriz got pregnant and gave birth to their only child Zuma, who sadly died from bird flu in 2014. Gafur left the military, taking at job at the local rescue center and the family bought a house at D'Angelo Main Road, between D'Angelo Grocery and D'Angelo Fire Station. They both lost their mothers in 2032. Beatriz lost her father in 2036, Gafur lost his father the following year. Today Beatriz is commander at D'Angelo military camp, she has been stationed there for more than forty years. Also, Gafur had been a solid employee, working at D'Angelo Fire Station since 2019. The family still lives in the house they bought 33 years ago.

Professor Javier Gutiérrez’s reforestation project, starting with North Jungle Nature Reserve back in 2050, can how be seen in several locations on the Island, sometimes just a small cluster of trees or palms, sometimes a larger forest. Mr. Gutiérrez has just won The Alexander von Humboldt Medal, an award honoring a scientist, who have contributed greatly to the intellectual development and advancement of vegetation science and plant community ecology, for North Jungle Nature Reserve, Cattle Road Palm Forest and Inland Sea Beach Forrest.
