    Auto Auction update.

I was not happy enough with the outcome on the first try, a Cs$$ lot and is network enabled for streets.
So I "sold off" the out lots up front and now I have a second version. That one is a Co$$ lot. Both come with Girafe evergreen or seasonal trees. Seasonal versions pictured below60deb1514e379_Abiggerjobcount.jpg.bfaa5ed756c9cae91969ca2d2bb979ba.jpg

This is awesome! Nick,*:thumb: I love those elaborate designs you put them together.

Hope you don't mind if I mess up your thread with some very personal and wild thoughts,* Last time when @sejr99999 gave some clues of Google map, I captured some:

    y0IKufr.jpg

    Wyripod.jpg

You can tell that it seems not too much difference of the color of ground (or road) between inside and the street, so I wonder how would that look like, how about change the base texture to the street's textures but without the middle light grey part.*:D

I hope I can make one for you now, But I just catched a little cold and could do nothing now. (I hate bed, I'm laying in it again) * Anyway, I like what it is right here now as well, Wonderful work my friend!*:thumb:

    Yours,

Sounds easy enough, I will do that. I should play around and check out how other textures look. Thanks

This reminds me that I still would like to do a RV manufacturing lot. pclark06 has made some RV dealer's, but we have no manufacturing lots. *:D Finding some props to use as I type.

After changing the ground texture to @Raymond7cn suggestion, I am very happy with the outcome. As much as I like the newly paved asphalt look I see a lot of times around me, this texture shows much more of the surrounding details better. And I believe others will enjoy this version more also, I hope. Good call Ray! *:thumb: Now it's time for further tests and minor tweaking.

    Hay @mattb325

I am doing a little playing around with the allow joint occupation and have some good results also.

Here is what I have done, two buildings using the added allow joint occupation. One lot with Cs$$ and Co$$. And one lot with Co$$$, Co$$, Cs$$$ and Cs$$ combined.

Using the hover over query tool and holding SHIFT, CTRL and ALT together I found that they are working as a combined lot. Shifting around the percentage of jobs in each job sector as the population grew and aged.

    6109b5f96a955_JointOccuoants3.jpg.88bbf6c11f899528f27d54a9199192b6.jpg

    6109b27d53e2b_JointOccuoants2.jpg.d638ab8647f4ddc6d721c0e6a10b8415.jpg
The changes I made to this guy 6109b9571b1ec_JointOccuoants5.jpg.263025bb027d1fe5f75a6b696e5d707a.jpg

    6109b5fe59a94_JointOccuoants4.jpg.94f74e7a2673ff523fd9354a0ee47c31.jpg

Without 'allow joint occupancy' the percent(%) in the parentheses would be zero(0%) except for the Co$$$.

It seems as if they available jobs can shift as the demands for the city change. But the lots never will have more jobs then the total given to the lot. 100 jobs, means 100 jobs, they don't accumulate. But this may be a very good way to keep a building around for a long time and not abandon due to the population changing over time. As the sims get smarter and you get richer sims moving in, the jobs can change along with.

Still needs further testing, but looks promising.

That looks promising indeed, and aligns with the results I got with the growable a few days ago in Raymond's thread (although I didn't know about the hover query, SHIFT, CTRL and ALT together trick) and I was relying on the census repository queries. I'll go back and test and see what sort of results I can get.

I have some other theories about what Maxis might have meant to do with the dual occupancy, which I am going to have a look at, but so far, getting dual occupancy to look correct with that hover query trick is a nice step *

It's news to me too. Caught me completely off-guard to see that. Glad I'm not the only one.

Some plaza's that are aimed at attracting commercial and industry(with their stats). Using some nice BSC textures, there are 7 colors to chose from or keep. Temperate and tropical versions pictured. Possibility of a Mediterranean version to be made, we'll see.6115dc0271f6e_NewPlazas7.jpg.20ce29d4a4bf37d3a8ea10a3a184d585.jpg6115d850689e8_NewPlazas3.jpg.5c8398580bd0187d4e60ba826a093df2.jpg6115d8a64fc43_NewPlazas5.jpg.7a9d2cd5f7955f7dfb443814c28c069d.jpg6115d8c3c9949_NewPlazas2.jpg.3e1f1f6d0cfee0624d32f7f9589d65cd.jpg6115daaca45f3_NewPlazas6.jpg.aa6b4dffab5e4a495442ee813991c964.jpg

Found some time to dust off and expand the color plaza set I was working on.

I now have a Mediterranean tree version(pictured below) using Barroco Hispanos' AGC - Environment DLC.  63027dc669848_KKColorPlazaSetBarrocoHispanoTrees(2442).jpg.20d080774043a7e2521f2e4d57a55c45.jpg

Goes along with the 2 tree packs I have already made using Girafes' trees. I reduced the color textures used down to 4 from 8. Was just to many lots.

I'm looking to release them in the next few weeks.

    These look great!
