Hello! I have a problem. My Cities don't have a traffic when I look at Data View. My cities have traffic in the residential zones only (sometimes). What should I do to fix this problem ??

You could furlough your entire road maintenance crew. *;)

Seriously tho, what is the population of your city? Do you have an extensive subway system?

May I view the pedestrian, bus, and subway traffic, please? The network connection seems to be fine. Maybe, your traffic is mostly pedestrians. Even, one of my cities only has pedestrian traffic despite having 200K+ population. Another possibility is explained by @CorinaMarie: extensive subway/bus system. If you have the system, you should use the subway/bus traffic instead of road traffic.

Another info: if you have commercial, the customer level is determined by the road/car traffic, not other types of traffic (I don't know about buses). So, if you want to have high-customer commercial buildings, you should have a sheer amount of car traffic. Pedestrian and subway traffic won't contribute to the amount of customer. If you wish to include pedestrian and subway traffic into the amount of customer, you should convert those traffic into car traffic. For the workers, you can use any type of transport you want, though.

Thanks.

My memory may be fuzzy, but 4500 looks like a lot for 100% congestion. Did you boost capacity (e.g. install the NAM and choose one of the big-cap settings in TSCT)?

What's your city pop? How many jobs does it have? How much real time (not game time) have you run the clock? It can take a few game-years to grow enough population to light up a normal-capacity grid, and even then the traffic will lag about a half-year behind population at turtle speed because it takes time for sims to find jobs and plot their commute routes.
