Hi. I couldn't find an answer anywhere.  I'm curious how to make a ped bridge over a canal. I've seen pics of user's cities with them but cannot find a "how to" article or video. Thanks!

Hiya.

I vaguely recall that in at least one of the canal sets (Peg's?) that there is a puzzle piece for that. Like you just scroll thru the available lots in the menu until you find one called something like Pedestrian Bridge Over Canal. If that's not correct, we'll have to wait for the experts to pop in with a better answer. *;)

Which canal system are you using? As others have pointed out, almost all of the most popular canals include some kind of pedestrian crossing. If we know which set you have, we can be more specific how to find them or if you need additional addons. You might also find transit crossings for Streets, Road and Rail too.

Many sets, for example CAL and Moonlights canals, include special bridge pieces, usually one Left, Centre and Right, which you can use either side of a gap in the canal to make various crossings.

Another potential option is using a bridge prop/model that exists, which just happens to go over the canal. I actually designed these bridges for exactly such a purpose:

Although there are plenty of other options on the exchanges for such things.

Head over to my Lot and Mod Shack to keep abreast of my latest developments.

Do you like custom textures, but don't like all the work involved creating them?, take a look at the Texture Automation options here. Change the look and feel of your transit networks, with the minimum of effort, for example customised versions of my Sidewalk NAM (SWN) and Terrain Grass NAM (TGN) mods, and much more besides.

New to the NAM? Check out my tutorials on YouTube. Latest upload: How to: RHW - MHO Roundabout Interchanges. (Nov 25).

p.s. - I'm MGB over on SC4D and a member of the NAM team.
