This is a good start! The SC4 Glossary site at the SC4 Encyclopedia is sadly a bit outdated (last modified in 2012) and new stuff happened in the community ever since and new acronyms and terms surely appeared, so probably your task can help to keep the list a bit more current.

I've always wondered why we didn't have a Glossary somewhere. *;)

There is an old topic (Compiling a Glossary of City Building Terms.) which has 11 definitions for real world building terms (# 11 is in the 4th post). Also hidden away in some old archived forums is a glossary started by @Kevin and latter posted using the @STomnibus account. I'll include a copy of that here since it's not member accessible. There will, ofc, be lots of overlap with what you already have and some of this will be outdated. You can then decide what parts to integrate into your list.

First of all, thanks!

I was about to create a new topic to come up with this idea to write up a glossary, but luckily, I was smart enough to search for it before.

So, aiming to update the glossary, I would like to know what "MMP" stands for. The term can be found on the Cascadia Tree Controller topic:

I would guess it stands for "Mayor Mode Plop" or something similar. Am I right?

Yes, that is correct. Mayor Mode Ploppable is the term indeed. *

These are technically flora items, and have been specially made so they are possible to paint free-form while not being constrained by the game's grid. Some MMPs have multiple components, so each time of clicking will cause a different model to be chosen. This can be useful to create variety when placing them.

You may find this list of MMP items useful which @_marsh_ kindly compiled, along with a few videos @Scribosilyn made.

As follows:

STEX Collections

By way of a "Thank You" gift, we'd like to send you our STEX Collector's DVD. It's some of the best buildings, lots, maps and mods collected for you over the years. Check out the STEX Collections for more info.

Each donation helps keep Simtropolis online, open and free!

Thank you for reading and enjoy the site!
