Hey folks! So, when playing Cities: Skylines, how do you prevent yourself from burning out? Sometimes, playing for so long and gathering so many mods can actually wear me down enough to where I stop playing for a while, and then it's kind of hard to get back into it. I'm curious: what do you folks do to circumvent this?

Well, I just give in and play something else for a while *;), as you suggested. Then I come back to the game with new ideas.

Take a break- have a clearout and remove assets/mods you use least often. Start a new unmodded city once in a while in order to get back to basics.

I take a break, play some other games. I still keep up with things here and on reddit, which often is what gets me inspired to get back to the game. Some new cool things pops up or someone shows of a really cool build that gives me an idea or something like that. :)

I use the street maps I've created with CS to help me with my business which means I am pretty much continuously modifying the city infrastructure. So for me I don't really have time to burn out. :)
