That's weird, I tried it myself with exactly the setup you mentioned, and everything works fine. To make sure we both tried the same: I've installed the following plugins:

• CPT Meadowshire terrain mod (along with its dependencies), one optional additional file with low snow cap
• CETC and all dependencies
• Seasonal Flora patch

Sorry, the only reasons for this that I can imagine are:

• You forgot to remove some other mods that conflict with the CETC. You must have at least some other plugins installed, the conifer trees shown on the screenshot are not part of vanilla SC4 (BTW, they also cannot be planted by the CETC at all).
• A reason for this, albeit very unlikely: There are actually 2 Plugins folders, one somewhere in "My Documents" and one in the game's installation folder. The second one may probably be rarely touched by most players. You might have put something in there and forgotten about it.
• You haven't installed the CETC properly. Please make sure to consult the Readme for which files exactly to install.

Seeing MMPs appear as part of a tree controller is simple to explain. When MMPs were first discovered, certain properties were not well understood for Flora. As such, if those properties were included with MMPs, then it could make them appear/conflict with God Mod Flora (tree controllers). Since it looks to be PEGs MMPs giving you problems, I wonder if you've out of date files, since the ones I have do not conflict with my tree controller. Which would seem to suggest the issue was fixed at some point. I'd have to do some digging in the archives since I can't for the life of me remember specifics, but I do know this is a well documented problem. I also know that for most cases I've seen, it was PEG MMPs that were appearing.

I needed a autumn brush and assumed I would have to do one...  and then poof suddenly this gets updated with one.... THANK YOU !! 

 

edit: Although oddly (and maybe this is known? I've never used tree controllers on the scale I'm doing) if I minimize the game the tree controller suddenly reverts to the maxis one. I then have to close and reopen SC4.

@redfox85  That's strange, I've tried out minimizing the game and planting trees later with the TC, and this didn't happen to me. I also can't imagine why this could happen. I'll keep it in mind, but for now, I just recommend just not planting trees after minimizing the game.
