Packaging multiple props into one workshop download/CRP file

Hey folks, this is me again asking for your advice.

It's a simple thing that I want to do, pretty much what the title says. Downloading all the dependencies for a building can be really tiresome, so I want at least my own props which I reuse on many assets to be included in one single workshop download. Is there any way to achieve that?

I remember seeing something like this being done by @Mr_Maison who included both the dark and light variants of his "Shady Bush" (my favourite plant in the game by the way, thanks a lot! :P) in one crp file if I'm not mistaken. I've tried to find out how to do so but that went nowhere, so maybe someone around here can help me.

This is of course a nice-to-have thing and not really necessary, but it might help clean up the mess that is the Steam Workshop (at least the props that I'm responsible for that is!)

Very easy:
Just click on the foldersymbol while uploading, this opens the folderstructure. Than just paste all props into the crp location.

Another usefull thing regarding additional files in the folderstructure:
If you do this to assign a certain prop to an asset (I did this with my horsefarms, so people dont need to subscribe to the horses) you need to:

-upload the file with the assinged prop added (but not placed)

-delete or deactivate the local version of this prop

-than subscribe to this asset, open it in the asseteditor and place the prop,..save

-replace this new crp of your asset with the one in your workshopfile, eg updating (do not touch the propfile in the workshopversion)

Now you have an asset that is able to use the props, that are inside its own folderstructure.

Great, thanks for the answer! I guess for now the first variant is the one for me, although including props in an asset might be handy some time.

Cool tip, going to use this! One question though: If I include a prop, will people be able to use the prop in the asset editor of in-game using More Beautification? Or should I publish the prop serarate with a diffirent name (to prevent duplicate names) so people can use it for what ever they want?

The prop is handled the same way, so they can use it for all purposes including asseteditor and more beautification :)

The only problem with this approach is that if you unsubscribe to any of the assets from that particular "workshop item" all the other ones will get removed too. You should add a warning about this to the workshop page.

As an example, I have my 5 in 1 Palm tree which includes 5 version in one workshop item. If I were to go into content manager and click the X on any of the 5, the other 4 get removed too. To disable individual members of the workshop package one must make sure to only disable them in content manager, NOT unsubscribe/delete them :)
