hi everyone! I was wondering if it it was just me whose city is ready to play as slow as like a turtle.  How long does it take for your computer to load a CSL city map?

Around 5 minutes with just under 500 mods/assets installed. That's on an old i5/16GB RAM/GTA 760 and a decent SSD though.

For me it takes about 5-6 minutes: 100.000 inhabitants, 1250 mods/assets, laptop with quad core i7, 2GB GTX760m GPU, 16GB RAM and SSD.
For comparison: my test city with 2500 inhabitants and no Workshop content (just a handful of locally installed mods) takes about 20-30 seconds.

I think boformer either hasn't subscribed to many assets or he's using the -noWorkshop toggle all the time (which I can imagine since it's super useful when assetbuilding at least).

Also, more RAM definitely helped me out a ton.

If you ever feel bad about your loading times, just look up any of the many topics about the same subject matter in the C:SL Reddit, and trust me, you'll feel much better afterwards ;)

Takes about 10-15 minutes for mine to load. And I've recently done a big clearout of mods, too. >.<

I'm around 1,200 assets with 90 active mods.  Takes me about 6 minutes to load Seattle at 60k pop.  I have an i7-4790K, 16GB, and a Radeon 7950.

using the loading screen mod I now load a city between 2.5 to 4 minutes, pushing just under a thousand mods/assets.

ive got an 8core AMD fx 4.8ghz, gtx980ti hybrid, 16gb ram, SSD, about to double my ram this week :)  and I have room for three more video cards, while few games can take advantage of multicards yet, some do, and when I switch to three 4k monitors ill need the additional video cards, at least one more.

Can depend on how many assets/mods you have installed. It has taken me 15 minutes to get into my games at times. That's with it installed on a SSD, 16Gb of RAM and a X4 965 and a HD 6950. Once the save has loaded though it runs pretty fine. I need to do a bit of a clearout though, remove redundant props, remove unwanted assets, etc.

On my old computer, a blank map loaded 40 secs-1 min, while loading a city doesn't change the time. 1 asset, 4 mods. I can't remember my CPU or GPU name, 8GB RAM, and 1 TB HDD. Then the hard drive failed. My mother's computer has 2GB RAM, 300GB HDD (still can't remember CPU/GPU), and I can't load it because it freezes up any time I try to do anything, except play ROBLOX (if you've heard of it).

Currently for me it never loads. Always crashing at 99% loading process no matter if I load a save or start a new game. Last times when it worked load times were around 18-20 minutes with ~1000 mods in total. While using --noWorkshop it takes 2-3 mins.

I have 6GB RAM, i3-2100 CPU, GeForce GTX 550Ti GPU, no SSD at all.
