Problem with Cascadia Tree Controller, two props missing

I'm a fan of Blunder's Cascadia Tree Controller.  It was working just fine before I uninstalled SC4.  Now that I've come back and tried to reinstall everything (and yes I do have all the dependencies installed) I'm missing two specific props: "transition Aspen High" and "transition Aspen Low".  Now, I have no idea which if any of those dependency packs were supposed to have those props, but once I hit the magic elevation, those two—and only those two—tree types just won't appear and I get the missing prop box.  Well technically a funny multicolored thing that the Opps/Oops mod puts up instead of boxes.  I've installed and reinstalled everything on the tree controller dependencies list, but I'm just stumped by this.

At the least if anyone knows which dependencies contain those two particular tree models, I'd have a place to start looking for the problem.  If anyone can help me out, I'd really appreciate it.

P.S., I'm in China and have to use a (very slow) VPN to do much of anything online, so I'm not really at liberty to provide and pictures, though to be honest all you'd see is a box with the pointer hovering over it listing one of the aforementioned aspen types.

You know, I've always wondered if Simtropolis was banned in China. Since you're using a VPN to access the site, I suppose my question is answered.

...anyway, my dear dissident, you're missing dependencies. There are several different props that use those two names, so there are several different possible missing dependencies.

You'll want to get DataNode if you still find boxes, so you can open up the tree controller and be able to point out exactly which of the props is still missing something. Further help otherwise would prove difficult, as I've linked to all prop packs involved in making those series of trees unwrap themselves.

No dissident as such, but I'm pretty well pissed off at Google since they were my US go-to for virtually all my money related matters and they have the cojones to think they'll ever win an argument with the people in charge over here.  China's approach to their thing is banning swathes of IP addresses, and if you're an innocent bystander, you're SOL.  Simtropolis probably shares enough of an IP with something that it's on the list.  SimPeg was like that.

But anyway: I have all those dependencies installed, so I guess I'll need to learn how to use DataNode to see what the heck is going on.  Well maybe first I'll do another reinstall just to be sure, since that's probably going to be less time consuming and hopefully the latest downloads aren't somehow corrupted.  Again.  Honestly I kind of feel like by the time I get my game back up and where I want it, I'll be back in the US and be able to just copy over my backup SC4 plugins folders.  This throttled internet speed is just killing me.  Frankly I was a bit better off with nothing.  (Truly I didn't miss it until I needed to pay some bills; otherwise not having a mobile phone or internet connection has been liberating.)

I really find this an issue, but with all the alpine bushes becoming brown boxes.

Brown Boxes = Missing dependencies, there is no other reason to see them.

So you need to track through those downloads listed in the readme and make sure you've got them all. Bear in mind too, Girafe and CP both updated a number of their files, so perhaps it's a good idea to take advantage of the LEX dependency tracking tools (since that where all these files are) to ensure you're using the latest versions of them.

IF having done that you still have brown boxes. The easiest solution is to start over and re-download each of the files anew. It might seem a PITA, but in reality finding/downloading/installing them all should not take anyone more than 10 minutes and is a guaranteed fix if you do it properly.

Head over to my Lot and Mod Shack to keep abreast of my latest developments.

Do you like custom textures, but don't like all the work involved creating them?, take a look at the Texture Automation options here. Change the look and feel of your transit networks, with the minimum of effort, for example customised versions of my Sidewalk NAM (SWN) and Terrain Grass NAM (TGN) mods, and much more besides.

New to the NAM? Check out my tutorials on YouTube. Latest upload: How to: RHW - MHO Roundabout Interchanges. (Nov 25).

p.s. - I'm MGB over on SC4D and a member of the NAM team.
