Yep that's how I did when I had my 750. I pushed the dynamic resolution mod to 200 and took the screen I needed (2 or 3 fps but as it's just for one pic it didn't matter)

I'm going to have to do this. I have a GT 640 currently, but I'm looking to upgrade.

Great snapshots everyone!

For me this is the first picture in Cities Skylines, I used to play Simcity 4 all the time but now I'm trying Skylines instead, experimenting a little bit with the game ;). This picture is from the main avenue in my city, it is the most crowded street as well. It used to be a small street but I've changed it into a avenue with a park in the middle in order to improve the traffic flow and the looks of it.

I hope you like it. ;)

Why are there no cars? 100% public transport usage?

This is a preview image I just took for the UK Terraced Housing Building Theme:

A lot of people use public transport indeed, I use a lot of busses and metro as well. Still there are some problems I need to solve. The main problem with this avenue was the intersections. The crossing roads are much smaller than this one, at a certain moment everyone wanted to go left which lead to an busy lane on the left and no traffic at all at the other lanes. I've fixed that problem by using roundabouts, traffic flow is not perfect (especially in the smaller streets at the city center) but it is better than how it used to be. Nevertheless, my main traffic jams are caused by delivery vans and heavy freight traffic. I've banned heavy fright from my city so they would have to go around. I'm also busy connecting the city to more highways so that might help a bit. So even though this picture shows an empty road, the problems are still present. ;)

the Dynamic Reso mod can really tax the GPU. I've got two ASUS ROG Matrix Platinum 780ti's in SLI and with the dynamic resolution mod, ambient occlusion and sun shaft mods with a large city can bog me down to under 20 fps.

Great shot. Love seeing the city up there on that hill! I bet your road network is a nightmare though with all those slopes!

Aw, yeah! I actually built this without Road Anarchy, so it is quite a challenge! Thanks to this there is actually no bus system, but the only traffic I'm experiencing is at the highway junction on the way to the city, part of which you can actually see here, which is great!

Ok! Here are some more, in their respective order:

Closer view of the city, CBD, street-view CBD, CBD layout (which has a pedestrian path encircling the main/centre square occupied by the cathedral), the 2 water towers supplying the city, view of Wallachia Manor (Manor has been renamed), view from Wallachia Manor 1, view from Wallachia Manor 2, a selection of panoramic shots, and districts.

Click this, and post your picture as a new comment at the bottom, and give your picture a title. You'll also have to post the winner of the previous round in your post (the picture with the electricity transformers and smokestacks) since that is the picture you will be competing against. Users have 24 hours to vote, and the winner is the first one to get 7 votes.

It looks like there is currently no challenger to the photo that just won, so make sure to post before someone else does!

Few days later my city really started to become something nice. However, I still had a problem with workers for my industry. The housing prices are too high. Thus I started building a neighborhood without services on an undesirable location next to the industry. It kind of works, the landvalue is $7,- which is much lower than the average landvalue. It wouldn't be a nice place to live though. :P

I love making little grottos in the city where only the pedestrians can go, and you have to get on ground level to really appreciate the atmosphere. Here's a shot from a little bench park I created to go with some streetside parking assets I made:

An European-style neighborhood in my American-style city. You can see the city in the background.
