Make a Halloween thread and the over-30 crowd is sure to flock to it to tell you all about why holidays are stupid.  ;)

As a college student in the United States, I will try to have enough fun for the rest of you.  I'm dressing up as Billie Joe Armstrong.

The point of being an adult is knowing that you get to decide what that (being an adult) means.  We can make our own fun and not have to be bound by societal conventions.   Independence is a far greater intoxicant than any drug.   :)

I'd like to dress up as "The Thing". But my wife keeps on telling me I've not the shape for doing this.

And every year is the same discussion:

And I say, just enjoy the season.

I skipped comic con this year so I don't have a new costume, and my Mega Man costume from last year needs some repairs before it's good to use again which I cannot get done before the end of the week.

Which is just as well, since I will be at a concert Friday night and that costume is too cumbersome and unwieldy for such an event. Easier to not bother dressing up.

I am of course way too old to go trick-or-treating, but costume parties for adults are very much a thing. I went to the NYC Halloween Parade as Mega Man last year, and was also wearing that costume in the office all afternoon, much to everyone's amusement. My Cut Man costume from 2011 also made a much loved appearance at that years office Halloween gathering. My Megaman.EXE costume from 2012 was slated to as well but then Hurricane Sandy hit less than 48 hours beforehand so Halloween was pretty much entirely canceled around here that year.

I won't dress up in halloween but my brother was planning to dress up like a school girl .-.

A friend of mine also bought an orca costume for her dog, it surely looked like a nigiri roll

I'm from France so I don't celebrate Halloween. Its not popular here and its usually just used for commercial reason,so they can sell plactic garbage from China and artificial sweets. That's why its not celebrated in france unlike America.

Here's a story from little under an hour ago.

So I'm handing out candy to trick-or-treaters at my door, mostly in groups of two. But the doorbell rings (I'm chillin' on the couch playing Fire Emblem). I open the door and the 8-girl Disney princess ensemble is there. So this group can't even get in the porch. And the took well over half the candy i had on me.

Never have I seen so many trick-or-treaters.

Also, the number of people as characters from Frozen was extremely high.

Did you know next year All Saint's Day is on a Sunday?  Anyway, it seems like it ended now no one gives the slightest bit of any explicit word of your choice.  'Tis is the result of a commercialized holiday.

I seem to be the only child on this website, so I went as a zombie hunter and was the scairest thing in my city... Besides the Plauge Queen who won a prize...

There are NO trick-or-treaters in my neighborhood, or by grammas, or really anywhere in this city.
