Thanks to Modders (And a Message)

It has come to my attention that there have been some arguments over mods produced by modders (like the 3k border mod xoxide posted last night).

 

I know that there is a thread already like this, but it's old and I don't want to bump it in fear that a moderator will lock the thread.

 

I just wanted to say thanks to all the modders. My mods aren't worth much, but some of the mods you guys have produced have given people hope that the game can be improved and that anything is possible when it comes to SC2013 modding.

 

I don't know much about the arguments that occurred. I was just filled in recently that some arguments took place.

 

If some of you people are so ungrateful that you can't respect the amount of dedication and heart some of these modders have put into their work, then don't even post here at all. We need positive remarks and positive feedback; not selfishness and disrespect.

 

This post by Ole' Shady inspired me to create this thread and send a message to modders that their work is respected and deserves positive recognition:

 

 

Yes I agree, It seemed like there was some infighting going on over this one... WHAT a shame that Petty crap will stand in the way of Months if not years of hard study & work... To the Modder's Id like to say WE ALL APPRECIATE YOUR HARD WORD.we ALL realize the study it takes to accomplish such goals. REMEMBER why you/we/us Mod is to simply fix this broken game!!! Dont get caught up in the who,what,when,where's & how's. Iam very new here and maybe stepping out of place here but come on guys. I see ALLOT  of arguing on these forums, enough so im considering stopping messin around on this site. I actually have seen members making fun of grammer error's WOW.Buncha Big Baby's. Here's some more grammer errors for you guys that Have nothing better to do...I used to moderate a push to talk channel with THOUSANDS of members from all over the world and we didn't have this kinda infighting among ourselves . to close I guess what I'm saying is put the small stuff behind you and lets Build a POSITIVE thing here... Otherwise Im sure soooon people  will start to feel as I do. Also Keep it in perspective' IT"S JUST A GAME. And we know who the modder's are who saved the game...

However, I wouldn't be so quick to believe that one account of the supposed "petty crap" - let alone make a reaction to it.

Surely the sheer amount of reviews and downloads mods receive demonstrates that they are valued as well. Your mods for instance have an average rating of 5 stars and thousands of downloads.

Sure, I have thousands of downloads and good ratings, but I really don't add anything to the game. I just change things around I'm currently working on a beach mod with Danny50205 so that I can finally add something to the game.

The real Great Works of SC2013 are the ones we find from this modding community.

 

I'm new to this community and must say - the time, skill, creativity and work every modder puts in, no matter the extent of their contribution makes the SC2013 experience better every time I start up the game.  I wish I knew how to do what you all make seem so easy to modify.

I would like to say Damien I may have used the Term "Petty" wrongly. I know that ALL involved only have the best intentions and strive to better This whole experience for all of us, not only that but then share it for free with idiots like me. So I think "PETTY" in this case WAS WRONG and for that I apologize  to ALL. What seems petty to me may be a big deal to others! But I still stand behind my other statements.

I appreciate all mods good or bad, atleast some are trying to improve on this game. If you don't like a mod then don't download it!!, There is NO reason to get all negative about it. Yes, thanks to all for improving our gaming experience. Simcity would be dead for my if you weren't here. Just don't listen to the stupid one that can't stop arguing the game is perfect and no mods are needed. It'sjust the opposit. The game is far better now, but some mods are still needed like yours xoxide. So impatient to try the Orion mod!

Thanks to all the modders out there.  I wouldn't have started to play Simcity again, if not for the 40+ mods I have installed.
